Except the edges of the map that was just lazy that they made it just burnt with a few scattered trees and it doesn’t really make sense that the whole edges didn’t recover from the blast while the playable area did
Here is where Far Cry 2 jammed guns could've returned. A bit different like jammings, variable rates of fire, longer reload times, reduced damage or exploding long guns leaving you only with your sidearm
Far cry 2 mechanics are wildly overrated. Jamming? Mabye. Catastrophic weapon malfunctions for no reason in ways that are literally impossible? No, absolutely not.

I would have loved this game if I wasn't already so sick of the formula by the time I got to it. Had some unique stuff going on, at least in the visuals/aesthetics, but it just wasn't enough to keep me playing.

Same, the lack of any weapon customisation as well just made me hate 99% of the guns. A bayonet and an 'acog' scope on an 1887? I just want to have fun with a cool shotgun not look like I'm getting ready for a Nerf war.

One of the main criticism is the game is to short.
But since I came immediately after 5 I'm actually glad I don't have to sink in another 50 or so hours, I can complete this game faster and move on.

Good ol mirrored gunmodels
Many of them are actually intentional. For example, in far cry 3 it is mentioned that the svds are all chinese knockoffs with the charging handle on the wrong side

@@zedus4042 unfortunately far cry modding is pretty much nonexistent, so nobody's bothered to go through the trouble of making brand-new models and animations and somehow porting them into the engine far cry games use
