You honestly have to reverse camp the campy sonics in this match up. Sephy's moves are too committal and you can easily get bodied if not careful as sonic can cover the distance and get into your zoning area to pressure Sephiroth so easy I find that the best way to fight against sonic is by using shadowflare to pressure and gain some control in neutral and retreating up airs and trying to secure the stock with bair or ftilt. Def annoying match up if you're not patient

Sephiroth inherently struggles with faster characters whether they camp or not. He also loses the Roy and Fox matchup as well
