We just bought a 2020 XC60 T5 Momentum for the wife a couple of days ago, and she loves it, and so do I. For those of you that are considering other makes besides Volvo, the wife's previous vehicle was Mercedes Benz (our third MB) and we shopped the Lexus NX, Acura RDX, Cadillac XT, the brand new Lincoln Corsair and Mercedes GLC. Volvo wasn't even on our radar when we were out shopping and we decided to stop at a Volvo dealer on our way to another brand. Needless to say, after test driving and closely examining the XC 60 both of us were sold. If you are like us that never considered Volvo before, do a yourself a big favor and check out what Volvo has to offer. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. And if matters, the current Volvo XC60 being sold in the U.S is made in Sweden, not China.
Thank you for this feedback. I am in a similar situation, I am driving a BMW x3 and looking to purchase a new vehicle soon. I've been looking at the GLC, X3, Lexus RX, and Acura RDX... but after watching this.. let's just say I'll be test driving the xc60 shortly..
After test driving the BMW X4 30i, we bought the 2020 Volvo XC60 T6 R-design today. We are loyal BMW drivers for decades and a 2017 Z4 is our other car ....but we found this XC60 in T6 spec gave us the drive experience we love in BMWs without the 'giant tortoise' bulky look of the X4. We didn't have to make any compromises with the luxury we are used to with BMW ....but at a much lower price point on this XC60 T6.
These cars are great. Especially the safety aspect has always really been appealing to me. I’ve driven multiple volvo’s through my father but now bought my first one. Not regretted it a second.
My dad drove a BMW. So I bought a BMW 5 series. I didn’t like it especially the badge image so sold it. I have driven Volvo ever since. My favourite is the XC90.
I’m from Spain. I’m a Volvo fan and I can say this is a great review from you two guys. It is very well composed and told. And the lines are very well argued. It is clear you know quite a lot Volvos so keep on it. The cars are simply unique, made for unique and cautious drivers and not focused to compite with Audi, BMW or Mercedes. Volvo segment is the segment of good taste and discretion. And also they make f..ing awsome cars! XC60 T8 Polestar my next target. Good job as I said and hoping watch more videos from you. Thank you.
Hi there .. Great videos all around. Wanted to let you know that the sunroof opens a LITTLE bit more if you press back AGAIN when it reached the first stopping point. Appreciate your in depth reviews! Thanks! Subscribed.
I can’t believe how all of the luxury car brands are cheapening the interiors by cutting out the all leather seats. This is what makes luxury … LUXURY! We really could do without massaging seats and a 360 camera (rear cameras are sufficient), please give us back all leather.
I have a 2019 Volvo XC-60 R-Design and love it. It has plenty of power with its TC & SC 4-banger, and it’s beautiful inside and out. Only things I don’t like are the slow startup times for the infotainment system and the odd squeak I sometimes hear coming from the passenger seat when someone is in it. Oh, and its price; ours tipped the scales at a tad under $60k. We also cross-shopped the new RDX A-Spec, but found the Volvo to be smoother and more refined.
Hey guys. Considering BMW X4 (M40i) and Volvo XC60 (T6). Driving a 435i manual transmission currently. Interested in your take on DECELERATION in automatic transmissions on the models I'm looking at. BMW loaner while getting service (330i) felt forced/jarring to me as it geared down toward a full stop.
We haven't driven the M40i but we have driven the X3 M. That being said, BMW tunes the transmissions to downshift aggressively to help with the sporty feel. The XC60 doesn't have that feel and is more refined in the deceleration. But all in all, it is less sporty, so it's something to think about
Why do most reviewers not mention the tablet/computer storage area under each backseat? I love to put my iPad under there when on the road. It keeps it safe and out of site.
I like everything about the suv 34:13 xc60.... only one issue... im not a fan of sunroofs....never liked them and cant do convertibles. So will be going for one without a sunroofs unkess its standard. WHITE or silverv tone colours only🎉 drove the 2017 diesel model and its was quieter.. realised I was doing plus 200km/h on our Kenyan highway. Escaped booking by traffic police😊
Can you tell me if Volvo re touched the “issue” from the 2018 xc60 regarding rear doors opening angle? I know the rear doors were not opening at a big angle.... from your video it looks like something changed but I am not sure. Thanks
Looks like quite the noisy, bumpy ride to me. My guess is that the lower class Subaru Forester will be a calmer ride overall. Hard to believe these guys never comment on such details.
Nonsense. I'm 65 years old and have driven em all. This is hands down (XC60 Inscription) the most comfortable vehicle I have driven! Absolutely beautiful inside & out!!
How about doing a review of the Volvo Care program it seems to make getting a Volvo very affordable with no long term commitment. It’s just for 2 years with an option to go for a different vehicle after 1 year .
Drew and Mason 😄, there's nothing like a Volvo, and Mason I'm curious about how comfortable are the seats as you said. The XC60 seems very roomy, I couldn't really tell but did the model you two reviewed have led fog lights? Drew, have you found a replacement for your Toyota Camry yet?
Trying to sample a vehicle's sound system through a video is pointless. Everyone is listening on different devices with different speakers and in the end they all sound the same.
If you have good speakers or nice headphone you can tell the difference. From editing them, we know that some measure of quality can be discerned, maybe not molecular level, but at least good, bad, best etc.
@Alfs Awful agreed. Turbos do not require that much upkeep at all, just look at the early volvo turbo models, they are still going strong even today after many many years of hard work. People are always so pessimistic...
I've had one with that engine for 3 years and I've had absolutely no need for upkeep or any problems with the engine whatsoever it's been great and super powerful
@@dylanst3802 fun thing is, Volvo cars has some of the most reliable engines from my experience. You can tighten up and increase the weight of the steering in the “car” settings. Makes a huge difference in the complaint about light steering.

Why Volvo does’t design the ambient light system like German cars which i really like it..
Towing capacity? Anticipated annual cost of O&M?
Saw one last week towing a horse trailer with one horse in it...
