Jeff, this is very timely since my son's 1st base glove is delivering to you today. I think the box is particularly important on a 1st base glove. Quick short throws from second and 1 hop throws that require quick adjustment cause a decent amount of dropped balls last season. I believe this was due to my improper break in of his current glove. Anything on the palm or closer to the heel was the biggest issue. I realized his current glove essentially has a single hinge and unless it was in the web, it made balls difficult to catch. I'm hoping your break in will help. Keep up the videos!
