I would recommend they just push their foot up against the base instead of putting it on top of it. It will prevent them being stepped on by the runner.
Man I appreciate all the info, I’m feeling a little more confident stepping into a manager position for a LL majors team. Great material, and very thorough! I would like to request videos on how to play each defensive position and specifically where each player should be given different situations ie bunts, grounders, pop flys, hit to RF, cf or LF etc. I think that would very helpful to develop each player and give both coaches and players more confidence in their role. Thanks for all the info!

This help’s so much because I am going into all-star session and I am a first baseman
I put my heel on the bag then when the ball is thrown I can stretch and when I stretch when I catch the ball at the same time my foot is landing
Excellent breakdown!
I love this instruction video very helpful!
A+
Could you do it but as the baseruner
I’ll put that on the video list, Graham. Thanks for the idea!

Good insight, scoops / short hops aren’t easy! I’ll be sure to add this to my list of videos to create. Thanks!
You're putting your foot all over the bag, my man. I guess that could work in softball where you have that second bag the runner can step on.
