St Peter's Rome? Sagrada Familia? The Rio Cathedral is a modernist albatross. I could go on......

St. Peter's is not a Cathedral.

Notre-Dame of Chartres should have been No. 1 - for its 13th Century stained glass alone. As a child, Louis IX (later Saint) and his Regent, Queen Blanche of Castille attended the Opening Mass. As for Burgos Cathedral, it contains the tomb of El Cid.

The problem is that there are SOOOOOO MANY gorgeous churches in the world, and we all have our favorites. I've been in the process of trying to narrow down my Top 25 churches in the U.S. alone, and it's incredibly difficult. LOL I'll upload a video about it soon, but there are going to be churches that people love that will be missing from it.

You are right thanks. Sorry I think I missed it because I created it soon after this video, and thought it’s covered in same channel. But now I realize it’s all about specific videos and not about channel. th-cam.com/video/vLk5oN_mUzg/w-d-xo.html

In my humble opinion, a beautiful cathedral that does not appear in anybody's list is the old Managua cathedral in Nicaragua. This beautiful cathedral in the Nicaraguan capital was designed after St. Sulpice in Paris, France. Sadly, the old Managua cathedral was severely damaged in the 1972 earthquake and has never been repaired and restored to its former glory.

To be fair, I doubt a whole lot of people get to travel to Nicaragua.

Some strange choices here. I am lucky enough to have visited half of these cathedrals, including St Patrick's, New York which does not deserve to be in this list. Many wonderful cathedrals in France and England have been missed.

History-in-time. The cathedral i attended while i studied at milan; not the vatican city cathedral under pope francis xavier xvi = jose mari chan = lee kuan yew of singapore today.

Milan is bigger than Seville, so your statement that Seville is the largest Gothic church is incorrect.

The Giralda in Seville is bigger than Milan's Cathedral.
The Architects responsable to build the Giralda joined an big part of the muslim mosque that used to be on that same spot. Like they did on the Gorgeous Cordoba Cathedral.
The Giralda ( the Tower name) its a massive religious Monument. Awesome

@jpmtlhead39 wiki has Milan at 11,700 m2 and Seville at 11,500 m2. You may be correct, there are other resources that agree with you.

This is where smith wigglesworth at times preached. Otherwise, it would be martin luther king jr. = Ashvin raj = emmanuel kant = henry tan kok team who preached. I have never been here. Emmanuelle kant = deborah tan = his own biological sister.

Where's St Peter's in Rome? This is a non- list - Ottawa cathedral, number one? Is this a Canadian production, I mean, who would even know Ottawa, let alone that it had a cathedral! And where's St John the Divine, NYC, or Washington DC, Ulm, Brussels, Melbourne?

    • @AmazingPlanet-Channel
      @AmazingPlanet-Channel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Apologies for disappointing you. This is a random list. And I missed adding St. Peter’s as it was covered in this. th-cam.com/video/vLk5oN_mUzg/w-d-xo.html Will plan better next time.

I mean, I knew it had a cathedral. *shrugs* But then again, I've made a very specific study of churches for years now, so it was bound to come up at some point.

Your pronunce of "Saint Vitus" is ridicolous. The right one is "Veeto "
