Drum Hack! Getting that great fat snare sound!

Here is a little trick I´ve been using for a while. Just cut the ring off your old snare head and BOOM. It sounds great, and is so easy. Works perfect in situations where you need quick changeovers or just a complete, fat sound. Filmed at a soundcheck with iPhone 5.
