- I am in a Mursi village, somewhere, deep in the South Omo valley. The afternoon is chilled, before things start to go very wrong.

OMG! How cute is that baby Almayo ❤️❤️
His name Alemayehu literally means “I saw the world.”
I just realized that, tribal people like these are backup plan, so even if modern civilization collapses there will be people who can survive without stress.
They will be the world leaders when modern civilisations collapse 😅
I swear, you are such a likable character Yves, everybody is happy to adopt you! The appeal of your sincerity is universal.
❤
Yves, your respect and love for people is more than words can describe. You taught me a lot. God bless you.❤
❤
My girlfriend and I travelled to the Mursi villages 20 years ago. The peoples have changed considerably. Ethiopia is very special, we also travelled the country for 6 weeks.
Yves I have no words to describe your determination and courage! Even I couldn't dare such an adventure in the country I was born. Your works make me see the beautiful people of Mursi Tribe but also exposed their state of current status - thanks to the greedy government in power they're almost forgotten. Their sub-human living standard, the compromised way of living and the safety of poor women & children is so horrible. The government in power is busy building irrelevant billion-dollar publicity shiny projects and driving million dollar cars at the expense of these poor souls....so sad! Stay safe & take care.
How do I say "አፌ ቁርጥ ይበልልህ" in English?
You express my heart's depest feelings!!
100% I agree with you and I am always opposing this idea of leadership no one cares about this citizens they are promoting as a national park for tourists and getting millions
How do i say አሽቃባጭ.... Just connected you political bias on everything u saw
Sadly facts are distorted in today's Ethiopia- everybody barks only for 'their' village and rather attack the rest. There are people like you who even dare to cover up this clearly visible mismanaged & forgotten tribes as normal...have you seen what happens to the woman who goes out to the woods? what the personal hygiene looks like? the conditions of the babies? how impoverished they are? And guess what the country is building world-record palaces (one for the PM & 1 for the ruling party tribe in Addis Ababa) splashing more than 10 billion USD. I am not even in any way near to the Mursi, but as an Ethiopian I am ashamed of myself to see them in this condition. @@fayzjibril8125
Baby is so cute, how he's smiling
unfortunately his life will be full of misery
@@James-oj8kqonly god knows, do u know God's plans
These people are so honest.. one of the guys @ 17:24 was actually telling you that your guide is a thief...the woman was also saying that she doesn't like the guide..you had to learn that the hard way Yves lol
When I visited I had the same uncomfortable feelings. The reality is these tribes are disappearing slowly and it is great to have them documented for posterity, with all their ups and downs. I wouldnt have chosen the Mursi to stay with myself. I prefer the Hammer
We all know what happened to the Aborigines of Australia. Therefore the Mursi Tribe of Ethiopia, should be left alone so that their environment, culture and tradition isn't threatened from the outside world. It seems all the hard work within Mursi community is carried out by women, while men fight. It would be nice if the men learn to help their women so that they are not exposed to danger by other men while fetching water / wood.
It's actually their choice to integrate or not. If it makes their lives easier with integration then let it be. We don't want maintain their culture for our amusement. Cultures are born to die anyways
@redseayouth9119
Your comment is very funny because you first say that their culture should be left untouched, but then you immediately say that they should modify their culture because you don't like the way they let their women exposed to danger.
And @phoenix0000
Completely agree with you, all cultures will eventually die anyway, so it's up to them whether they want to keep living their tribal life, or integrate into the modern world.
I thought you said they should be left alone? Then you contradict yourself by saying that the men should learn to help the women.. It seems like you actually wish to impose your own values onto these people.
We gotta love Yves how humble he is. Lovely to see this man. vous êtes si humble juste pour être vous-même et respecter la culture des autres. Merci pour vos beaux vlogs
easily one of your best videos!!! merci beau coup yves for the amazing content!
Thanks for sharing your experience with us
great job Yves. You really live life. Can't wait for the next one! Stay safe!!!!!!!
😅😅😂😂😂that guy just picked the whole bowl and drunk all the soup...I am dumfounded.
😂😂😂
One of the drunk guys in the hut was actually telling you your guide was a thief. Lol you just didn't notice. But honestly this is the only cringeworthy video I've seen from yours. I don't know why but their activity was making me feel awkward as an Ethiopian. But thanks for showing the ups and downs as they're
When, where and how exactly did he do it? Would love to know
17:27
So they all knew?
Obviously you know the language.. Is it quite common for these tribes to drink alcohol? I’am just wondering.
And many of these women look sick.. they seem to have some kind of eye disease?
Can anyone translate exactly what he is saying please? Thanks!
Yves your brave and got patience, you are made for this. Be safe
That guy who almost mounted the woman while she was working shows how tough life is there
Lol,. whats the timestamp?
30.25
He came back too
that was wild!
That’s probably what the introduction of alcohol is doing to this society’s men.
You are an amazing person, doing what you love.
Bro u are experiencing soo much things first hand .. lucky dude
Nice how you blend in with the locals, awesome video!!
Its like another dimension. Brutal work Yves
one of the best videos on youtube ever seen brother , you the man
I could not agree more...this video is in a class of it's own. Showing the remote Ethiopian tribes
I am from ethiopia but never i visit this religion bro thank you for you sharing us you're very kind and respect human ❤

Your patience!!! I pray that god gives you grace more grace to handle challenges in your future career❤
Your one very brave person I wouldn't last 1 hour in that place thank you for bringing us your experience.
much loves your videos yves.thanks from addis ababa Ethiopia
This video was the most uncomfortable and I applaud you for your patience and bravery for keeping the woman safe. Im glad you were there but dont want to even imagine how many women get attacked on a daily basis there.
But do you know they don’t have mental or any sort of stress? I am sure you stress a lot when bills need to be paid and you don’t have a job foe them there is nothing to worry
What would have happened if he had smacked that guy attacking the woman ? I wonder. At these moments my guardian instinct would take over.
Many of the women seem to be missing their bottom front teeth. What do you think that's all about?
Absolutely amazing.
Much loves your videos Yves, thanks from Ethipia Arbaminch broo
You are a great guy, I am so proud of you.
That’s nice from you Yves to help , good luck 👍
Yves, I am very curious on how much this whole " operation" cost you as in how much money for the guide, car, gifts etc .. please share
No doubt some very nice people in that village but doubt if I could handle more than an hour or two there. I feel uncomfortable just watching the video and even Yves doesn't always look his relaxed self.
Can you please elaborate on what would make you uncomfortable? The nudity?
@@shirobedabo Nudity doesn't bother me. There was just a general ugliness about the whole place from the disfigured mouths of some women to the tourists visiting what was increasingly looking like a rural african "gift shop",
National Geographic cash machine.
😅😅
@@BrixtonTone😊😅😅 don't worry they are good people u are highly welcome come for a visit
That guy didn’t rape that lady probably because you were there.
Yves, Alemayehu and Kiya is stuck in my brain 😀😀😀
😂😂😂😂😂
El mejor video qué has editado, felicitaciones!!!
Keep it up bro, I know all the places you've been to through work. So you brought back memories for me.
That Alamayo kia baby is so cute and is very comfortable around Yves... amazing
I like your journey, i was watching your priveous vidios and you try to adapt evry culture where you go that is good.
I love your Videos. Its everytime like a Little advanture vacation while sitting in Front of the pc. Thanks for uploading them
I think it was a nice experience but also a little bit difficult . 😅
This was a episode that i found very cautionary.
Tribal people coming off drunk some of the women seemed overly friendly i honestly couldn't go to a river with a chiefs sister as you never know what might try happen
So kind of you to help them carry water
This was too much.🤣😂. Yves said “..hey.. hey..” when the guy was going to do it like a dog
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't find that situation funny at all.
I really like your videos.
Thanks for the video...
I encourage u 2 help these people by providing simple clean water system.. At least easy reaching 2 clean water can develop their life...

Reportage très intéressant, merci Yves ❤
The tribe is so intertwined and seems complicated, yet it is so simple to understand.
You've got lots of courage. That's for sure.
Hey Kino, did you feel uncomfortable during the visit to the Village? How about when you would leave to get supplies? You're such a brave individual 🤗
☺ It's like part of the Avatar movie, thx Yves 🥉

Amazing!!! Where is the " Donga" tho?
Wish you had me along in the omo valley. Expert from Kenya who is familiar with the culture but also the languages partly.

The Omo Valley is a human zoo. Full of tourists filming other human beings.
At 17:27 the guy is telling you the guide is a thieve so please don't take guide randomly.
it is great experience thanks

Can anyone explain what was happening at 30:30??????
The world is too big n diverse...many people never knew such humans exist 😂
Even though I live in Ethiopia I don't even know
You're Amazing respectful of ladies what a Lucky day you have
I’m from southern parts of the country. Never been to these areas. It’s so sad that Ethiopian government left these nations for sale. One might argue when I say this but it is sad when in the same country you have citizens with no school, hospital, no electricity, no health care, infrastructure. Ethiopian government likes to keep these nations as the way they are oh we are making money when tourists come bla bla sad. When I go to different states in USA I go to visit sometimes their museum, zoos etc. Whites come to visit our.. sad. some cultures are worse than others. We as a society will never progress until we treat all of our citizens as equally important as others. These are Ethiopians. No body knows their potential if treated the same way as others and have equal opportunities as others these would’ve been engineers, doctors, lawyers, professors etc. No citizen should be left behind. This not good culture at all. Let kids go to school. Yes I’m Ethiopian and I’m against this kind of culture. There is nothing good coming out of this kind of culture. We should compete with other nations on the world stage so we as Ethiopian have to be inclusive if we truly want to see any change. Ethiopia is not all about Addis Ababa and its surroundings. I hope they are not ONLY made to pleasure the whites. When others are on mars we are still in Stone Age that’s sad.
10:17 I like your respect for them. Great attitude
It's remarkable to see how proficient these tribes are in English! They speak it even better than the residents of Addis Ababa.
Too much respect Mr yve
How dare he drink all the soup?😢😢😢😅😅😅 But I see love all over..may God bless this lovely community.. they're very receptive
Next time you return to this village there will be several new babies named yves. 😂
I get the feeling that despite your love for Ethiopia, it isn't a country that is treating you well. At the start the tribal villager begging for money and your 'guide' being a complete scammer. Love the content as always though. Stay save Yves!
Well come Bro ❤
How many days were you there?
Just 1?
Everyone was saying your guide was a thief.
Did anything happen when your guide got your phone?
Me i known only my woreda or village you are Lucky man you look many people
Masha Allah thanks Ives barma is journalist liba is funny
The tribal lady actually can communicate in English. I am surprised
Very loving souls there
I'm curious, men in village doesn't protecte or guard woman? they don't care about children?
It's a revolutionary video
😄😄
Wow nice! Big respect for Mursi
That poor woman she’s so sweet and innocent and that man was worse than a dog 💔
9:24 "I don't like this..baby" 😂 Like wtf 🤣🤣 Maybe it's too adorable or something. Crazy comes in different shapes, colors and sizes.
The baby was obviously a scammer :D
Woher from are you?
Lovely people.
thank you visit my country
