The behavior of Robert Blake in this interview is no different than it was 35-40 years ago when he would appear on Johnny Carson. He has always been a tortured soul, full of pain. He never tried to hide this. I always liked him for his transparency and vulnerability and at the same time being very much a man. I don't believe he killed his wife. The method makes no sense at all. Either that or he is a criminal genus or an extremely high stakes gambler with his own life.
I get where he is coming from, I always have.

All the a-sholes do that. Marlon Brando, Blake, Depp. They all claim child abuse. It wasn't true with any of them, especially wife beater Depp. He ran that household. Baby Johnny was to be catered to and made everyone's life hell. Blake stuck a gun in Sondra's mouth. This generation is so focking gulllible

To be fair, he’s sitting opposite an interviewer accusing him of murder despite an jury acquittal. Personally, I think he did hire someone to kill her but anyone who’s read how she cleaned out many innocent people for 20 years wouldn’t care one way or another. That woman had NINE husbands before Robert Blake and stole every last dime from most of them before disappearing (including an 80 year old man). She just messed with a killer this time. Karma.

I don't think Robert Blake killed Bonnie Bakley either - never have. Mr. Blake has a right to be angry. Ms. Bakley had been married 9 times previously; had a history of taking advantage of older men with money. "The junior prosecutor who handled the case, Shellie Samuels, was interviewed by CBS reporter Peter Van Sant for the CBS program 48 Hours Investigates. During the interview, broadcast in November 2003, she admitted the prosecutors had no forensic evidence implicating Blake, could not tie him to the murder weapon, had no witnesses and had virtually nothing in the way of hard evidence." Also, a Los Angeles Police Department Internal Affairs investigation was opened regarding the lead detective in the murder case, Detective Ron Ito. Robert Blake was railroaded.

After reading up on the piece of work who was his wife, there is a good reason why he wasn't convicted or found guilty. Because there was a huge amount of reasonable doubt, in that she had life 4-5 previous partners and she other lovers she tried to blackmail and ruin their lives to the point of EVERYONE had a motive for wanting to bump her off. Not saying she deserved it or anything like that. But it was a case of "It could just have easily been the other guy." And with no real solid evidence, it made sense why he was not thrown in jail.

Bakley dropped out of high school at age 16 and decided to go to New York City to pursue a career in modeling and acting at the Barbizon School of Modeling. She met an immigrant named Evangelos Paulakis who needed to get married in order to stay in the United States.[5] Bakley agreed to marry him for a price, but then she almost immediately ended the marriage and he was deported.[6]
At age 21, she married her first cousin Paul Gawron. At roughly five years, this would prove to be the longest of her ten marriages, and they had two children together: Glenn and Holly. The couple divorced in 1982.[7]
In an effort to support herself, Bakley began a mail-order business sending nude pictures of women, including herself, to men. She also ran "lonely hearts" ads in magazines advertising for a "male companion." After communicating with the men who answered her ads, she would ask for money for rent or travel expenses.[7][8] Bakley's business and scams eventually afforded her enough money to buy several houses in Memphis and a house outside Los Angeles. She was unsuccessful, however, in her Hollywood career as a singer and actor under the stage name Lee Bonny.[9][10][11]
