Thanks to you I have just started keeping RC shrimp. I think I lost a few (I got 20) but now they are thriving.

This video helped me relieve lots of stress. New shrimp keeper and I got so scared a week after I got my first batch my shrimp molted and the males were swimming around like crazy. I tested everything but now after watching this, I see some females are Berried!

  • @ffffaaaaiiii

I got 100 shrimps before. Around 17 of them got eggs. I wrongly introduced neon tetra (x11) to the tank, then I saw NO baby after 1 month.

  • @chag6349

This definitely answered all my questions I had about shrimp. Now all I got to do is wait for baby’s to hatch!

  • @nataliehoward252

I have been watching your videos for the last few months and I just saw baby shrimp in my tank yesterday.

  • @krawlspace

Great video, Richard! I can’t raise shrimp to save my life. They die within a month of adding them. Thankfully, I had an orange Rili drop her eggs a few days before she kicked it. Fingers crossed the little ones make it.

  • @EuroGupper

The trick to feed natural protein to shrimp is keep a shrimp only tank and put in some daphnia. Keep the lights on to grow algae for the daphnia. The daphnia die and they become a calcium and protein source for your shrimp.

  • @FairmoundAquatics

Despite having kept shrimp over the years, there's still good value and insight to gain from your videos😉👍

  • @squash8584

First of all, I absolutely love how passionate you talk about the life of shrimp. It's infectious and inspiring. I'm in the research fase op setting up my first tank and the info you provide is invaluable and gives me the confidence I need to succeed.

  • @shrimplycanadian

Hi Richard, your videos have been extremely inspirational and educational to me. They are one of the many reasons why I have been focusing a lot more on shrimp keeping. You don't find many shrimp keepers mentioning Otocinclus Catfish as a tank mate as a lot tend to use plecos and I'm so glad that I finally got to see someone else (other than myself lol) shed a little spotlight on them. Keep up the amazing work and I look forward to seeing more videos and/or possibly doing some sort of collaboration down the line.

  • @debbytate3943

That was absolutely fascinating I really enjoyed watching that thankyou

  • @NarrowboatJourneys

My second attempt at keeping cherry shrimps is much more successful and I now have some baby shrimps in the shrimp only 1 gallon nano tank. But I also have quite a lot of daphnia, cyclops, and a number of tiny hydra. So far the hydra has not been a problem to the shrimplets...?

  • @cambriia

Wow, great video!! Your way of speaking is so expressive and you give so much great information! Thanks for making this

  • @rickeyanderson5168

Excellent, just waiting for my Cherry Red to release their eggs into the Java ball moss and we are good to go.

  • @Timsfreshwatertanks

You never cease to amaze. Spectacular job. Been following you about a year and continue to find your videos very inspirational. Thank you.👍✌️🦐🐟🤙
