Another fantastic video, Richard! An update on my poor luck with shrimp..although all the adults have died, I counted 4 or 5 little ones. Could be more as it is a fairly well planted tank. They have already lived longer than their parents! Maybe my luck has turned around!

Pretty unrelated but I really don't know what to do with all my shrimp now? I moved most of them into a much bigger tank but not too sure where to go from there, was just keeping them for fun, most of them are a pretty nothing special color now and I'm too big a softy to cull haha
Give them or sell them ! Or have a fish to regulate the population.

Haha, that's what happened with my Bloody Mary shrimp. Except I ordered them, and they all turned out to be female (or the 2 that passed were the only males).. Now I'm just face palming and saving up for some more so I get some males. I have other shrimp, Orange ones, and some blue, but I'd really rather keep the colors separate. One orange and one red at least already got dirty with it, ended up with what looks like some orange shrimp with spattered spray-painted red over that color on em. o.O Kinda weird, but neat. Still.. Need to get me some red dudes.
I got a lot of cherry shrimps for my aquarium (about 20). Didn't care about colour or anything. But since I got so many, clearly I got both males and females, and now they had babies! :D And more is coming because I have females carrying eggs! I just love to see them, and now trying to figure out how to get them more intense red. Hopefully I have some males with great colour.
More intense red by removing the not so red one (be careful to not remove all the males) in a 2nd tank or sell/give them, and buy some sakura ones.
@@PetiteLicorne That's probably what I will do, but I hope that I don't split them up so that I have just females in one aquarium :D I have just one aquarium at the moment, but very soon there will be more...

@@FishKeepingAnswers I completely understand. I have a stable biOrb tank that has fire red shrimp. I have 3 babies. They live with me in my schoolie which is an rv converted schoolbus.
I could of sworn I had 8 girls it turns out I only had 2 out of 15 due to them being berried.
How do we ask them what they identify as? We just can’t assume. Lol jk 😅
What is the sex ratio ?
I recommend at least 1 male to 4 or 5 females. 👍🏻
