When I was watching this on TV, I turned it off when Zhou got to snookers required and only saw the score about half hour ago and immediately came on here to watch what I stupidly missed. I've taught myself a lesson there, don't turn it off until it's actually finished! What a finale that was! Well done Gary!

I think we should encourage more celebration and emotion in snooker? Other sports have celebration at key moments, even by people or teams who eventually lose. I don’t think we should discourage it. Snooker players, in what is one of the most emotionally draining sports, are encouraged too much to be emotionless on the table.
Exactly. That is why snooker is becoming boring. I like to see people celebrate like they do in the darts. They need to move with the times. People are allowed to be happy that they have won and show it!

If someone remembers a game in which a decider with 3 snookers needed to get a respotted black was won, please tell me.
This is just like when John Parrott done an early fist pump vs Mike Hallett in semi finals of Masters. I believe Hallett needed 4 snookers ? And cameback and won the decider.
I’ve played Gary a fair bit and he is tenacious all the time regarding snookers. I watched knowing that the celebration was far too early and will only spur Gary on.

Zhou needs to brush up on his snooker escapes a tad, he missed getting out of quite a few we're used to seeing pro's at this level hit comfortably throughout that match. The one slight weakness in his game I feel and it cost dearly today..

Has some bottle that Gary wilson anyone in the top 16 knows he is a potential banana skin of an oppenent, dangerous when playing well. Shame he is not consistently winning so don’t really see much coverage of him.
Zhou celebrated one shot too early. Had he potted the brown then he truly would've won the match.
We know
Zhou should have rolled the brown towards the pocket after potting the green to force Gary to pot it if Zhou missed it.

It’s a stupid rule that you can’t called a miss when it’s snookers required as that’s the point, he would get the snookers he needs if a miss is called
It's not stupid if you understand the logic behind the miss rule.
If Shaun Murphy and Stephen Henry have there way Gary Wilson would have lost. They want to bring in the stupid rule that once a player needs snookers, the game is over. It will ruin the sport.

Easy for me to say . But why didn’t he swerve to hit the blue . Why 2 cushions isn’t that harder
It wasn't far off a full ball snooker so he would have to dig in to the white quite a bit and from that distance it's not as easy to judge as you may think.
