Mark always says if people are willing to sacrifice and just get things done anything is possible. Mark always talks about the sacrifices he had to make to get to where he is. Most aren't willing to do what it takes to become successful. Smh. I invested in a couple of companies Mark did. His brother is cool too.
I think he makes that in less than a day so no problem.
To his scale it’s like if you’d have 4000$ in the bank and see something interested for you child to learn for 40c, it’s a no brainer!
I know Kevin can offer some terrible deals, but I think he is the only shark that never gets offended when another shark is chosen over him

Kevin, more than the other sharks, makes offers which are purely about MONEY. The other sharks almost always include the human element of the entrepreneur. Kevin accepts that he sometimes loses deals because another shark makes a stronger connection with the entrepreneur than he does. Mark has also invested in a few companies primarily because the benefits his daughters may get. This was explicitly one of those, and Kevin knows he can't compete with that.

Mark really likes to pick & choose when to get offended by counter offers. He would normally go out when he gives a great offer & it isn’t instantly accepted. I really can’t believe he took the offer of 400k for 8% after he said no to it. I think he was more interested in messing with kevin than in the actual company

It has to do with how much respect they have for the person standing there. This particular entrepreneur was pretty impressive with a great attitude.

This is why I love Kevin. He always draws the other sharks back in. Kind of feel sorry sometimes he doesnt get the deals because the only reason the other sharks go back in is because he is able to negotiate deals that make more sense to the other sharks.

You have the to realise the show is extremely cut to make it more dramatic. These pitches go from 1-2 hours and they’re condensed into 15 mins, we aren’t shown everything
She answered ALL of their questions. We see 10 mins of a 2-4 hour pitch!

The challenge with this product (and its proposed value) is that it's not only sleeping in makeup that can make your skin break out. Going to sleep without washing your face and poor hygiene can cause breakouts. Also, microparticles of pollutants and toxins are guaranteed to collect on your skin throughout the day. Not removing them before bed through cleansing the skin accelerates the skin's aging and can aggravate skin sensitivity. I could also see these products transferring to pillowcases, creating an additional hygiene nightmare. I wish her and her product line the best, though.
I think it’s in comparison to other makeup in the category ifs better for you. A lot of sleeping oils people wear to go to sleep so this is essentially similar

Her beauty products are extremely good. My cousins and nieces love this. With Mark's guidance, she will do extremely well.
She was already doing amazing, 2 million in sales after 1 year. Hopefully mark can help accelerate her success and take her to the moon. I’m a guy so I don’t know too much about makeup especially her product but seeing it on this pitch and reading some reviews, it really does seem like she has an amazing one of a kind product.

Even though I came here after black shade scandal, I can’t help but admire her level of poise and intelligence, I think regardless of the state of her business, she has a bright future ahead of her.
Not until she learns to be authentic and inclusive and think a outside of just profits! The only thing this vid revealed to me is that she is a master negotiator with a motivation for money, not a passionate or knowledgeable creator. Even the other sharks that backed out caught on to that. You have nothing without knowledge and passion, no matter what business you're in.

I think this is very gimmicky, and I don't have faith in it, but--what she started to say but was interrupted during that word was that she's making 3 *non-color changing* shades at the request of customers. That makes way more sense than 3 more shades of perfect-color-match blushes.

Youthforia is shifting the blush market, I took a chance buying it and my god has it been life changing. Clean girl, glowing from within, effortless beauty is in. Minimal work, no brushes need, color alters to your face. The sharks saying they didn’t understand the product because it’s oil? Disappointing. Their age is showing because the makeup industry is flying these days and has been riding that quality Korean skincare wave.
Kevin is a winner for helping her out with getting Mark to go from ten to eight percent.

I personally don’t care for this type of make up but because customers asked for additional shade that doesn’t mean that her original product is not a good shade or universal it just seems that you know maybe they want more PT your tone or a more red tone whatever you know just cause it’s universal doesn’t mean that that’s the type of shade that the customer wants and they do it don’t understand that so they hold it against us wrong

I think this was a smart move for Mark...his daughters have to be part owners in a business where the founder is really impressive and the product has the ability to grow 10x or 1000x. Who knows, L'Oreal or MAC or whomever might swoop in and put this into their portfolio at a billion or whatever... You just never know..

I think I agree with what a lot of you have said in the comments here and in other videos. I really do think Kevin sweetens his deals to get a better deal from the other sharks when he's not entirely invested. So he either gets a decent deal for himself or is able to help out an entrepreneur. Sort of a win, win. Or he makes an outrageous deal where he'd probably still benefit and would be able to gauge the entrepreneurs investment, passion, or confidence in their product.
