I saw his concert and he sang continuously for almost 2.5 - 3 hours. It was an absolute spectacle. I recommend everyone, if you get a chance, go to his concert. What a legend!
and he sang for straight 5 hours in Toronto. I fell for him. Huge respect. The GOAT. It felt humanely impossible for someone to sing like that! Obviously cried at the end and loved all my emotions that said ‘you’ve seen god, if he exists!’

The more u listen to Indian music, the more u'll realise that Indian music is not about how high one can belt, but rather how well one can communicate an emotion. That's the basis of Indian Classical music... n the different 'Ragas' it encompasses. Musical knowledge in India comes from the Vedas, written nearly 2000 years ago - the more one delves, the more fascinated they bcum.

The same Arijit Singh was eliminated from Indian Idol about 15 years ago. After that, his hard work , his destiny has made him reach where he is today. Today, we as Indian music lovers, if a person goes through a sad moment, happy moment, travelling etc, for each situation, Arijit's voice soothes a person's heart and soul. That is the power of his voice. I personally consider that God has sent him to this world to distribute harmony to the people in an extreme negative world. Wish him more and more success in what he does.

You are by far my favourite vocal coach reaction. You go over exactly the same things I go over and you explain things in a way I almost understand. Sorry I know nothing about singing. I don't even sing in the shower. So yes almost everything is over my head but I am learning a few things, credit to you. Arijit is the best singer in ghe world right now. For me there isn't even a close second. His range, the ability to perfect so many genres, as a music lover, I can't think of anyone that comes close. That's before you consider he's a composer too. Well he is trained in Indian Classical since childhood but he has also trained in Western Classical as well. This live is mostly western styled except the last song Ayaat (which is semi classical).

The sliding , the gliding of the notes , low keys, use of deminishes and accompanied by the languages .. which they effortlessly fill it up and improvised and blends accordingly whenever wherever in the spaces it needed.....
I am not a musician nor gut with their classical knowledge..but I do sing some Hindi songs since childhood and i am still learning to this day .😅
In the last part, you felt different because that song Aayat composition is based on raga bhoop (special tunes in Indian classical music but very different from Western modes or scale concepts). You can react to different Indian classical vocalists like Kaushiki Chakraborty , Rahul Deshpande, and Kishori Amonkar. You would feel like the last part where ethereal melodies are sung with microtonal shifts b/w notes.
He's in many ways like sia. Right from little things like Vocal fry to all the way to the temperament of wanting to go and take us to unfamiliar places. And signing so soulfully

"Bro you have no idea of his endurance and his range. Recently attended one of his concert in Chicago and he sang for nearly 3.5 hours non stop. You have to check out some of his MTV Unplugged performances. They are different class which are more RAW and can give you better insight of his raw voice and the musician side of him because he composes songs as well
