2:50. Actually i would disagree. You can see his clips before he was 18. He had a completely different voice and texture. He said in an interview, that he has developed this style of singing himself where he has mixed a nasal voice with breathy voice. But for sure, he was not born with it
I would rather disagree with sergemerto. He always had this same voice. But, earlier he used to cover sing in different singer's style. His real voice came out when he started singing in his own voice for his own songs.

He is not having any difficulty in breathing. Westerners think that you have to stand to sing ! In India we sit on the floor ( squat) and sing for hours. This is what the Hindustani Classical music teaches you. He could sing longer phrases in the same breath. It is about melody and not singing loudly, it is about the pitch, it is about musical notes and micro-notes, that is the difference in East and West. Please do not teach western music tricks to Indian Musicians. Appreciate the different musical styles !

This is based on Indian classical music. Completely different in grammar from Western music. Your knowledge & techniques of western music will not work here. It is a completely different world.

@@reneurbanovich yes indeed music is universal language, as you felt the emotion of a song when u don't even know its language and style of singing.. But indian classical singing practice, rules, modulations are totally different to west... For example in indian classical ,singers don't change their voice pitch when singing higher note.. And another example will be in western singing singers move their larynx for changing the modulations but in indian singing u will rarely see larynx movement in a very difficult modulations also... (I am not a expert but i guess ANANDA was trying to say this)

Hi Rene. Love your videos and how you explain things. There are two observations that you put forward which I would like to correct you on: 1. You said a person is born with a voice like his and you can't do it through training etc. But this is not his original singing voice, he used to be bad sounding and not very pleasant to listen to, In his recent podcast/Interview he said that he had to break down his voice and rebuild it for years to get to where he sounds today. If he stopped doing those, he will go back to his original sound. 2. You were saying that tilting head up is bad and he is probably compensating for leaning forward with the instrument. But Arijit always does that whenever he signs, and most Indian singers do that, it is because Indian Classical Music takes the hardest part to train a person so that their best version comes out, and singing becomes childplay. Ancient Indian singers used to vibrate the air around them with their voice and make the temperature get warmer.
