South Yorkshire Police have provided an update regarding the ongoing investigation. INTERVIEW WITH FORMER D1 HOCKEY PLAYER HERE • Hockey Player Intervie... #AdamJohnson #MattPetgrave
Being rebailed shows they haven't been able to get to a point of we've looked and it's tragic but no one's fault. It's still potentially a live charge then.
It is unclear if he isn't being allowed or not. From all the research I have done, he hasn't played since the incident. Just not sure on whether that is because of a ban or by his own choice
I honestly don't see the complexity. It's there in plain view, the video is the only thing to investigate, was it an accident or did he raise his leg on purpose, why on earth that should take months is beyond me. The police will just drag it out until it's a distant memory and nothing will happen
The police will be looking at a lot more than just the incident video. They would have confiscated all of his IT devices and will going through his Internet history, including chat/text history. They will also be viewing all previous playing footage. IMO by extending the bail they believe they have a case and are compiling a portfolio to hand to the CPS. I won't be surprised if they extend his bail again in April.
Petgrave did get lightly hit just before the skate went up & this is a criminal trial Petgrave would probably argue him getting hit caused him to loose his balance & that’s why the skate went up. And since it’s a criminal trial it needs to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt If all they’re going off of is the video it is complex. Can you say with 100% certainty that Petgrave’s skate went up fully bc he wanted it to? Or is there even a small doubt that it went up bc he got hit & that caused him to loose his balance What happened is a tragedy & I hope justice is served, I just figured I’d answer your question. The fact Petgrave got hit just before the skate went up is why it’s so complex, and needing beyond a reasonable doubt to find a guilty verdict
I love how fast people are to judge this guy. If you watch this accident in slow motion, you can see Johnson's skate get caught on his opponent's left skate (not the guy who died) ricochet off then hit that same players other skate when he tries to plant that foot. At this point his other legs sweeps his feet out from under him launching his out of control foot further in the air and turning his body parallel with the ice. They also make neck guards that protect against precisely this and his opponent consciously chose not to wear that safety gear.
@@dantevxv1501 Did it take you a month to come up with that? I can honestly say I took the time to watch this from every angle I could find, including ones that were zoomed and slowed. I'm confident in what I saw. It happens fast but when you see it frame by frame you can see it clearly. He won't be found guilty, mark my words.
@@donniet685 3. 1 was the tv version and 2 were from fan angles. There was 1 video in particular where the guy broke it down frame by frame. His right skate (not the stabby one) hits the guys skate and that foot bounced up. He almost immediately puts that foot back down basically between that guys legs near his opposite foot and his skate bounces either off the ice or that guy's other skate (it's hard to tell exactly). About the time his foot ricocheted the first time, his left foot (stabby one) was sliding out from under him and by the 2nd ricochet he was flying almost sideways with no control and unfortunately hit the victim with his skate. That kick he did looked bad, I'm not denying that, but I know I've gone flying out of control all sideways like that and I did an involuntary kick trying to somehow right myself with no time to actually think it through.
I don't think anyone thinks he was looking to kill him. However, it is clear sticking his leg out was 100% intentional. Especially because this isn't the first time he has used his legs to defend.. which is a massive no no. Which is why people are pressing for a involuntary Manslaughter charge
His opponent definitely raised his leg with malicious intention...
I was thinking about this yesterday, thanks for keeping us updated.
Thank you for staying on top of this! I continue to hold onto hope that justice will be served on this
Looked like murder to me
thank you for the video cstcr
This is just so tragic actually because it was avoidable.
Charges 100% should not be dropped
youre fucked
💯 guilty of manslaughter imoq
He lifted his leg 5ft 6 high in the air, maybe didn't mean to kill him but defo stop him in his tracks
100%!
Extended bail... I'd be very surprised if Petgrave isn't charged, IMO

Is he still being allowed to play during the investigation?

@@Nunn_the_wiser To see if he looked up "how to do a kung fu ice-hockey kick"?

Those people shouldn't be allowed this sport 😊
It's obvious nobody here has actually watched an ice hockey game 😳

😂😂 that is not manslaughter…sporting accidents happen…whilst tragic ridiculous to suggest hes looking to kill him 🙄🙈
