Adam Johnson's Friends Share Their Favourite Memories

No player should ever die on the ice. RIP Mr. Adam Johnson
This is heartbreaking, every time I see it it breaks me. Love you Adam ❤
Fantastic video! Watching Adam Johnson's friends share their favorite memories was truly heartwarming. ❤
First time I’ve heard his voice since Highschool in 10 years, almost 11. So crazy.
A beautiful interview ❤
RIP. way too young
Seen this on hockey night and Canada last night… was very nice to see this tribute from his friends.
I miss having friends like these. Perhaps if I had Adam’s loyalty trait, my friends would still be here. A lot of my friends have passed away and I’ve grown apart from many others. Looking back, I think I tried my best to be a good friend. I’m a dad now and my kids are everything to me but sometimes I wish I had a good friend.
@@scottstenlund4431 I appreciate this comment. Thank you. Maybe I’ll try harder to reach out. It’s really complicated- I had more friends than I could count growing up and some very close - but many are either dead, moved away, struggling with addiction/mental health issues, or just distant. Sorry to hear about the things you have gone through as well. Maybe we should accept things as they are and find things to be grateful for.
The first chapter in eternity🤲🏻 rest well
Rip Adam Johnson
May Adam Johnson rest in peace❤. At least he got to live the dream. Still way too young to die.
Smile down on the hockey world big guy rest easy ❤
I’m actually still shocked really sad man
Stellar video you guys! What a way to honor one lost to soon. ❤
never should a player die on ice sad bc this happened too a hs that i live close too in ct. RIP ADAM JOHNSON.
I was there at the game will never forget it
I have never considered not watching hockey again since getting into it. The next day, it was an outdoor battle of Alberta game, that I was looking forward to (I support oilers as well as Nottingham panthers). I didn't watch it, and I didn't watch hockey for weeks, I don't know why, but I was simply scared I'd somehow see it again.
I did bring myself to watching hockey again, but in one of the games I saw a hit on the line, pretty much where the incident happened and even though it was not even a big hit, I got chills.
I don't think many people will ever recover, and the thing that makes it worse was knowing it was a promotional game which resulted in more kids at the game too.
The rest of the team most definitely haven't recovered either, there's even been a coach interview or two where he looks like he's almost crying. It's a year that even though we haven't won hardly any games, all the players that could've just left, but wanted to stay to support each other have all my respect.
Please, make neck guards mandatory everywhere.
I was there too. My other half's first EIHL game too. Never again.
A life cut short by a careless, reckless play is a tragedy one thousand times over.

Rip Adam. We are all very sad that your life was ended by a very negligent, reckless decision.
😢
I wish the U.S. would honor him by finally requiring neck guards for U18 players.
They did…

He definitely meant to kick him.
" I don't know if anyone wore them before this" Plekanec did.
Turns out every EIHL player thinks it was an accident. Hockey culture needs a turnaround badly. What explanation can there be for that to be just a "freak accident"? Not to mention Matt Petgrave literally got a standing ovation. It's leagues like those that are poisoing the sport, portraying that u can do something like that and not only get away with it, but be applauded for ur bravery. Makes me wanna barf
Is that what they think, or what they're being told to think?
Maybe when players are saying it's an accident, they mean it's an accident, let us know what your credentials are for thinking otherwise babe
@@megscutt4480 having eyes and basic reasoning capabilities should be enough
Whether that's what they've been told to think or not it's pathetic. That was not a hockey play at all.
@@FirewagonHockey except it is, because it happens a lot. Adam was in the wrong place at the wrong time. That's it.
That was no damm accident, good lord ppl wake up.
you were an accident
Anyone who watches that replay and says it’s an accident is either in denial or just dumb. I’ve been watching/playing hockey for the past 30 years and never once has there been a play remotely similar to what Petgrave did. He jumped and kicked him in the throat. Not hit, not nudged, he slowed up, turned his body and jump kicked him in the throat. It’s clear as day.
