      @@LordCommandor it's all about where you get it and what you plan on doing with it. Buying a $12,000 Bentley from Craigslist or a "buy here pay here" to use as a daily driver is a bad idea. Buying a new Bentley or even a used one from a dealer for the occasional weekend trip to the Hamptons is a different story.
      Then again if you can afford to buy a Bentley from the dealership you probably aren't worried about service costs

    Do another video with German. I liked it when you both went to the auction and found cars and tried to make the most on. This time each of you go with $10,000 and buy as many or as few cars as you can get with it. The goal would be to see who could double or even triple it. @Jeff Lee did you just compare your mustang convertible to a bentley? lmfao

    • @TrueNorthStephen
      @TrueNorthStephen 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jefflee1189this is just false, a bentley if maintained properly is just as reliable as a mustang. It could also be more reliable, the issue is that you would need alot of money to maintain and service a bentley properly which alot of people tend to overlook.

    • @TrueNorthStephen
      @TrueNorthStephen 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jefflee1189 the older continental gt shares the same engine as a volkswagen phaeton and v12 toureg. And newer continental gt’s share parts and drivelines with other Audi’s and Volkswagens. All of those cars are known to push 200k miles easily but they are just expensive to maintain.
      Bentleys arent driven as much because operating costs are extremely expensive. A simple oil change on a bentley probably costs more than what your mustang is worth. Also another reason why nobody is driving these around all the time is cause if you have bentley money you probably also have money for other nicer cars or your always on vacation/travel in another part of the world.

    • @TrueNorthStephen
      @TrueNorthStephen 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jefflee1189 Lmfaoo every car that has an engine needs an oil change, doesnt mean its broken. But hey if you’d rather drive a beat up 200k mile mustang than a bentley then more power to you. Me personally, I’d rather be seen in a bentley🤷‍♂️

Fired right up(stickey Air Flow Meter). Few months passed by and I got a $600 fine from the state for abandoned vehicle... Thankfully I reported sold and had proof!! I believe some car alarms have their own backup battery so it can still alarm if someone disconnects the car battery. That is probably the reason why it is sounding even though you had both of the car batteries. The alarms back up battery is triggered when the car battery is disconnected. Once that happens the alarm is triggered.

    ARMOR SHIELD! Craig, I really enjoy watching the techniques you’ve developed to clean and prep the cars for retail sale. The outcomes are light years ahead of what we were doing in the business 35 years ago and in half the time. I did very well buying cars from a wholesaler (or on the street), cleaning and prepping them then retailing them. It paid for college and grad school and a great life style. I took a huge cut in my net income when I started my way up the corporate ladder. It took several years with a BS and MBA to net what I was making as a high school drop-out college student buying and selling cars in my driveway. Craig’s not exaggerating what you can do in the business even on a small scale. I was very lucky to have a mentor in the business. It’s a very difficult business to learn on your own and it’s very hard to find someone to mentor you. Graig’s two online courses are worth their weight in gold! Avoiding one mistake could pay for the course and you couldn’t find a better mentor. Look at the joy and excitement he gets from buying and selling cars (or boats and maybe houses?). He loves to go to work everyday and I can tell you from experience that there’s nothing more miserable and depressing then going to work each day at a job you hate. It ages you quickly. Craig will be 39 forever doing what he’s doing and I think he developed the courses out of a love of the business just as much as to make money. These days we’re all on our own. There’s no more gold watches at the end of a long career in corporate America. To survive and have a decent quality of life one has to be an entrepreneur and work for themselves.
    Peace, Rick

    You should buy a car for 5K, 10K, 15k, and 20k. You could then show the difference in quality and repairs needed for cars at different price ranges all at the same time. I know you've basically done that through the series, but I think having them all at the same time, where you can create a concurrent comparison would be a good mini-series that would probably get some decent views!

    This past fall I bought a 1982 Alfa Romeo Spider rot box. I replaced every rotted panel and inner and outer rockers on both sides.
    I lost the space I had to work on it and stored it outside up here in northern New Hampshire and over the winter it some how broke lose from the chocks and rolled down my hill and rear ended a tree. UGGH!! Im not even sure if it can be fixed but it runs so good and the tranny shifts great I can't get myself to get rid of it.. my wife thinks I'm crazy but I'm going to try again on another Alfa Spider, but I just love the old Italian cars.

    I been having my new cars graphene nano ceramic coated for several years now. There’s a lot less prep work needed on a brand new car, that has a perfect (or near perfect) finish already on it. I LOVE a ceramic coated car, because it’s much, much, much easier to keep clean and it will protect the clear coat for years to come (so long as it is properly maintained and renewed every 1-2 years. Ceramic coating is DEFINITELY WORTH IT, --IF-- it is applied correctly by a PROFESSIONAL who knows the proper procedures for preparing a car to be ceramic coated. On an older car, it’s imperative that the car be properly prepped, which can take some time. For our pre-owned vehicles, we prep the car, including clay barring it, then do any necessary paint corrections or touchups needed, and re-prep it again, and then apply the graphene nano ceramic coating and let it flash, hand buff it out, put it under UV lights (to speed up the curing time) and when it’s done, it’ll look SUPER GLOSSY and super slick and as smooth as a baby’s butt! Going forward, I will NEVER have another vehicle ever again, that doesn’t have a ceramic coating on it.

    I am not going to say you don't know what you're doing because you know enough to run a business. But watching you use a screwdriver to remove that trim had me on tilt. FFS buy a nylon trim tool set for $8. It's not worth the potential risk using the wrong tools.

    Armor Shield is incredible! Best $70 you will ever spend on your car. I used to wax my daily driver every 2-3 months but I put on Armor Shield 18 months ago and no matter how dirty it is a 5 minute wash and dry with a garden hose and a microfiber towel has it looking like new.
    However, you're not doing it in an hour. With prep you're looking at 3-5 hours but anyone can do it.

    I do the same thing when I detail my vehicles. Tried Different tire shine, black magic I perfer. Never used this product, to protect my finish I give it a wax in three stages. A light, a medium, a heavy. A gloss wax is last, and I've finished with some rain-x. If you use rain-x for a month after every wash, depending on where you live. I'm from the dirty south so it's like two to three times a week. It can last three weeks to six weeks. It's a cheap way to protect your finish.

    Where you did the self tapping screw, instead, get a snap where you can snap a leather covered button there. The metal snap piece gets screwed in just like you did but then a leather snap goes over it. Think leather covered buttons on furniture. Then the next owner unsnaps the button and then unscrews. This would look much better.

    That's why the window is down also. There are other makes that when a battery is low, a window will lower. Some Lexus, the rear passenger window goes down if battery is defective.

    30:18 you can tell Craig is a smart businessman because he understands returns from various asset classes can’t be compared apples to apples. As he said, in the stock market where you typically invest passively, a 12% annual return is great. However in other investments that require your time and active attention, 12% is low. Cool stuff!
