Your friend Claude is quite a character. It's funny how such informative and generous hearted people come into your lives just when you need them. Claude must love these projects. 👍👍
I came here to say something similar. How wonderful is it when neighbors help out one another? I am certain Claude loves having these young, hard-working people as neighbors as much as Philippe and Anicia enjoy having Claude around for help and advice. It is truly heart-warming to see this bond develop.
Thank you for creating beautiful and informative videos. He is the hardest working man and you have an excellent talent for video production. I’m retired in America and really appreciate watching the window to the world.
What a satisfying conclusion to today's video! Congratulations on the completion of the first phase of your big dig. Philippe's patience and persistence in tackling all the tasks he undertakes is highly admirable. Well Done!
@@DomaineSauvage it's an excavator? .. know what a "shovel" is.. very different.. your excavator uses a bucket.. a shovel has two parts a scoop & back(blade) & emptyies from under by splitting.. a bucket loads from the front & empties from the front by tipping.. shovels are more efficient, unload much faster
Lovely seeing Anicia and Odin in the Vlog. That is one hell of a load of soil moved in such bad weather and with a tiny excavator, that is tenacious work. You are achieving so much. I think Claude and you gain so much from each other. Credit to you all.
Frankly, for a man who isn't a mechanic, Philippe is magical! If I looked at the machinery, it would be like thinking about doing brain surgery. Absolutely and totally clueless!!! I don't even open the hood of my car in case something accidentally falls out! Look how far you've come! You've fought weather, break downs, being stuck in mud, and heaven knows what else. You are a star! Congratulations on breaking through!
Two wins, first the tractor starting then reaching the corner of the old barn. Well done! Nice video, super introduction, spectacular drone shots of the site, and interesting content. Keep up the good work!
I want to give my congratulations on this major milestone. So deserved. It really moved me to see this daunting task is almost at an end and to see the final result. Happy for you guys. Especially for Philip. Man what a job you did despite all that rain and mud. 🎉
Oh my goodness....what great progress. Other than Phillipe being very happy that he's finally broken through, your barn must be thanking him for freeing it from it's wet, muddy surroundings. Odin is growing up quickly and is soooo cute. He'll soon be a trilingual toddler 😁...thanx for sharing your adventure with us. Bonne semaine à tous ❤❤❤
Congratulations Philippe! What an accomplishment to FINALLY break through the corner. I hope that you had a little celebration! Well at least a beer or two 🍻. 😂 So many wins to count this past week! Your weather looks good for the next while, so more accomplishments to come. We are so happy for you, Anicia and wonderful Odin. Félicitations mon ami!! A la vôtre ! Bryan
Hello Bryan, we had some wine and lately we try and go out every Sunday and visit something so we are not busy 7/7! Yeah the weather has been great but i have not been digging, i want it to dry out more. Bon weekend!
B4 you moved to France Claude most likely worked on his own. With Philippe making a friend of him. Claude is only too happy to be able to pass on some knowledge. Now Claude has company (a bit like a son) & Philippe also gains all that help he gets. Win, Win.
I just want to take a minute to tell you both how much my husband and I enjoy following your progress in renovating your homestead. Your apparent flexibility and cheerful approach to dealing with a constant stream of challenges is an inspiration, as is your willingness to work that hard. The videos are artfully and beautifully crafted, seamlessly flowing from one task to the next, with great nature shots and wonderful music woven in. Impressively done! Thank you!
Odin is SO cute. Our old people are treasures. They have so much knowledge that will probably pass with them. My uncle was a great Mechanic. He could fix anything, cars, trucks, tractors, tanks, boat motors. But at 89 he didn't have the body anymore. Sadly, died of Covid in 2020. He went to Korea in the Army. He told them he was a Mechanic, so what did they do, they put him in the rifle corps. So when the trucks and jeeps started breaking down, he would just fix them. So the higher ups came to him and said,"You are a mechanic" He said, yes, I told you that. So they put him in the Mechanic section. He was repairing Tanks. Sometimes out in the field with guys to guard him. What can I tell you. Army intelligence.
Great good job, well done! Congrats. I would shape the hill towards the neighbour as flat as possible, with new pkanted flat bushes on it, to avoid a sudden drop during heavy rain, which will be more and more common nowadays , good luck.
Congratulations on punching through to the other side of the barn! It must be rewarding to look back and realize all the time and effort that went into your accomplishment.
Lots of battles, so many won! It is amazing what you have accomplished in a short time. Your little kingdom is unfolding everyday. You both are such hard workers and when you get old and look back you will remember each and every triumph with a smile. I enjoy each day you share with us. Always cheering you on 🚜🌻🌈👍❤️
What an epic achievement to free the barn from the mountain if earth. Im so happy for you. You have worked so hard over the weeks. I love the old tractors and Claude of course, but it is Odin who steals the scene every time.
Dear Domaine Sauvage family. 👍👌👏 The barn is freed at last = a major task is almost finished. Hooray 🙌 and congratulations!🎉 2) I like these dumpers. But please check the injectors, air filter, injection pump and timing because the old boy is rolling coal = throwing out way too much exhaust fumes. 3) Great to see that you got the "new" old tractor running and even the front loader working. This machine has the potential to become a valuable member of your already impressive machine park. But please don't let it "roll coal" like the dumper. Even an old Diesel engine can run fairly clean if well maintained and dialed in correctly. Thanks in advance. As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and especially health to all involved.
What an achievement! You both must be thrilled❤❤will you have to build a retaining wall to hold the hill back? Odin is delightful. Building a chateau with Mama while Papa moves the mountain. How wonderful to have Claude’s help. French neighbours are a complete Joy or maybe we are just lucky👏👏👌👌🥳🤞🤞

Greetings from England. We are moving to SW France next year and are delighted to have stumbled on your channel. You are inspirational and we love watching adorable Odin , and his happy smiles. Where do I start? It's great you & Claude got your tractor going . Then, the bank that is no more, you have done an amazing job. Your monumental task is nearly done. Little Odin is growing up every week ❤
You are learning a lot from Claude and I know he is enjoying himself. I think you have got another bargain with the tractor. Good to see you have got round the corner well done
Hey Phillip, I’m a student from Assam, a State of India, you may not have heard of. I just wanted to say how much your videos inspire me, your dedication is on another level, and it’s always worth the wait for each new release. Sending love from Assam ❤
I could watch hours of videos, but I know you have lives outside of camera and editing! 😂 Great to see Tractor firing up and the monumental mud mountain break through… enjoy your week.
Now that you've removed all that dirt from behind the barn. You need to dig a drainage ditch the entire length of the foundation along the back of the barn to allow the water to drain away before it can go under the barns foundation. It will take awhile for the ground to dry out under the barn but once the water has a place to drain you will start seeing progress .
Also if gutters were installed on the roof that rain water could go in a tank to water vege garden and or into soak holes in the ground . Roof would need to be clean for drinking water to be collected.
So glad that you got the tractor working and all that you accomplished! Now you can level things out behind the barn and it can have a good drying out, hopefully. Well done, you!
So enjoy your weekly updates and really admire your hard work. I moved with my little family from Australia and lived in the south of France in Aveyron and Herault for 10 years in the 70s and 80s and met many great neighbours like Claude, who made my stay so memorable. Well done Philippe
LOVE the show… I have been watching since your family moved to France. You all make my day and make me work at my home in the USA. Cheers to your family and may you all have the best day!
A few weeks ago I Stumbled on your video that showed your one year progress and went back and watched all your videos I’m now up to date and worn miss another one … enjoying your channel from Belize
Well done. I wonder when the soil outside the old barn door got so high in the past. I suppose as water runs down hills soil also has been coming down probably for 200 years gradually building up such a mound of earth. It will be the end of an era when there is no soil to watch being moved. Despite being British I had to look up the spelling of " sisyphean" - this feels like a sisyphean task
Incredible work as usual. But also more professional filming and editing each week. Loved the full walking sequence at the beginning. Et Odin a découvert qu'on commence les petits beurre par les coins! Bravo Odin, un vrai petit français.
With all this extra dirt, maybe you should look into Hugelkultur. Bury your excess tree limbs, roots and logs under the soil for an ultra-fertile garden area.
C'est un travail colossal , je suis passionné et impatient de la suite à voir . Plus tard cette réussite PHILIPPE sera tienne ainsi qu' à ton épouse . Vous travaillez dur 👍✌👏💪
I am happy to see your new tractor is good to be used now. Your other one I guess will be a piece of equipment to learn from Claude on. You have done well to break through to the edge of the barn. The beginning of the total dry out of the barn, is only as far as the warm weather come spring. I know winter is not here yet, at least, we should have snow yet! We could have another year with little to no snow, I hope not. Ronnie in Saskatchewan
Thanks D.S channel for the new video update. Congrats for achieving a lot of projects and doing them properly. Being together you can achieve more. GBU
I love your channel, it's teaching me so much, love, patience and understanding, your family and neighbors are always hands on , one can see that God gave you skills and knowledge and I think your son will take after you, he's a good loving child and your wife too looking after the family with house cores, I love and appreciate you, keep up the good work. God will always bless you with more wisdom and strength.
Jullie krijgen zoveel gedaan iedere keer, echt knap. Jullie doen altijd voort, ondanks het weer dat soms tegenwerkt. Ik vroeg me ook al af of die achterbuur niet klaagt dat je te dicht tegen zijn afspanning komt met het graafwerk. Keep up the great work!
I really need to brush up on my French. I moved to the US over 40 years ago, and being from the Flemish speaking part of Belgium, we all learned some French in school, but having focused on both English and Flemish has not done much for my French 😬. I feel like I need to start from scratch. Wow, Philip, you are doing amazing work! That old barn is a gem. Can Odin possibly get any cuter??? 🥰
The best joke so far heard? Phil saying that he isn't a mechanic 🤣😂😀 Oh man, you may not have a diploma hanging on your wall - but you ARE a mechanic by talent and skill‼ Cudos from me who has restored cars, tractors and, yes, airplanes... Greetings from Switzerland! Oh and btw I almost forgot: The filmmaking the cutting the choreography (is that called like that?) are superb! I like the shots of your family and the surroundings hugely! Keep them coming - and if I am in need of a second set of hands helping me with some mechanical stuff, I will regret that you guys are too far away to be called for neighbors helping hand 😇 or giving you some help vice versa..
Two things about the digger blade all the oil going to and from it as with the track go through the center swivel. That located right in the center of the digger frame. Maybe one of the connection there is poor and leaking. U might need to be under the digger to see it and even lift the floor out to see the top of it. The blade has a few uses the first being push a bit of soil as u know but the de on is finish level by putting the blade on the ground and the reversing back using the blade to drag soil which compacts it a little and leaves a great surface finish. I still have a lot of work on but keep going
The tractor with loader is going to be a huge asset, as it is on wheels it will be so much quicker to get where you need to lift heavy objects, I find the tracked digger is very slow to re position to where you need to use it, it was also good that it did not start straight away, by turning it over like you did the oil will have got around the engine before it fired up. Breaking through on the corner is a milestone for you, and the weather has been really nice at last, but it will take some time to dry out your worksite! The drone shots are fantastic, they give a really good perspective of the site. Stay safe! Chris B.
HURRAH 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Well done you guys 👏👏👏 You can finally circumnavigate the whole barn 😊 That has been such a long hard job but will be worth it in moving the water away from the building. I can't even begin to imagine how much earth has been moved. Even more scary is that somebody put nearly all of that right there, up against and behind a huge barn 🤷♀️
c'est fait. j'adore ce Monsieur Claude, qui en a vu d'autres et qui prend plaisir a vous le montrer. he's a keeper 😁

Odin is adorable. I love seeing him in your videos ❤yay you broke through to the end.
Claude reminds me of my dad 😂😂 just give some throttle it will be ok 😂😂😂😂
“F*ck your trailer! Pull!” 🤣
Well done Phillipe! At last....
Thank you both.
Thanks D.S channel for the new video update. Congrats for achieving a lot of projects and doing them properly. Being together you can achieve more. GBU
Words cannot express how precious Odin is and what wonderful parents you both are.
Oh my gosh! Oden is just too darn cute 🥰
I like the weekly videos.
Beautiful and Silence Place.
Greetings from Germany
Jullie krijgen zoveel gedaan iedere keer, echt knap. Jullie doen altijd voort, ondanks het weer dat soms tegenwerkt.
Ik vroeg me ook al af of die achterbuur niet klaagt dat je te dicht tegen zijn afspanning komt met het graafwerk.
Keep up the great work!
Have you considered using tire chains on the dumper for the mud? We use them in winter for the snow, but they work for mud too.
Looking Great Phillippe
Wow, wht a break through for you!!! So satisfying, such hard work! Congratulations you did it!
