Outstanding, like the video a great deal. I have International Model M with the wide front end, love the old tractor. It has never failed me just give her a little attention and a loving pat every once in a while, and she good to go. Looking forward to the next video, stay safe.
I love the older tractors!! Spending money on maintaining and updating a few things like you are doing will make that Ford go for another 50 to 75 years, with never a worry about the computer or the electronics going bad!! With only a few wires, the wiring diagram is simple, but you might want to add a fuse to the headlights, and to the work light in the rear!
I thought all american farmers have to the brim of there cap rolled! Nice little Ford you got there. Thanks for the video guys! I'm a retired farmer from Minnesota. Ron
One small suggestion Tyler, where you replaced your steel line with the rubber one, I noticed it was laying on the breather tube. To head off a future fuel leak from it rubbing and vibration, split a short piece of hose and slip it on in that spot. The reason the new tank has a plug in the bottom is I noticed it has a small drop stamped in it to allow you to be able to completely drain it, with the sediment screen and bowl in place. Job well done you two ! Enjoy watching your endeavors and adventures !
This mechanical content is good....provides a little variety. After all, it says Wallace Farm and Sawmill....good to see some farm content. Great channel, great content.
Love this video, guys. My wife and I cut, baled, & hauled our own hay for about 10 yrs using old Case tractors which were so easy to work on. My mowing tractor was a '50 VAC with a 3pt. sickle mower. Every other year or so, It would suddenly start sputtering and barely running. I'd climb off, remove the Marvel-Schnabler carb and head for the shop. Clean it out and back to the field in about 30-45 mins. and I'm mowing again. Those old Cases were easy, almost fun to keep going. The VAC's did have an issue with rust in the gas tank if they had been sitting before I got them. Some JB Weld and a good shaking with some rocks and they would last for a long time. The rust would eventually eat out over to the JB Weld patch and have to patch again. Yep, I love this content. I have to resist the temptation to seek other channels which work on old tractors. Between sawmills, firewood, and old iron, I would never get anything done. LOL
I put a new manifold on a Farmall Super C and worked two days trying to get it to run right. Finally found the problem was two holes on the back that needed to be plugged.
I would suggest that you invest in a new wiring harness. You can order one for the 12 volt upgrade. That would solve any and all electrical issues. I have an 800 series that I am currently reworking. Like you, I love the old iron both ford and Farmall.
Just a little info, the model is NAA. '53 and '54 are both NAAs but only the '53 is a Jubilee even tho both years are the same tractor. I worked for a Ford Tractor dealer in the 70s and also had an old tractor repair shop as a side gig for 50 years. I worked on old tractors of all brands. The 3 Rs; Repair, Rebuild and Restore.
Also, I don't recommend replacing the line to rubber and, there are 3 screens in the fuel system; 1 up in the tank, the screen at the top of the sediment bowl and one on the elbow going in the carb. The one in the fuel line is not needed and I feel is a hazard. The shutoff is; 2 turns open for normal and all the way gives you about 2 gals as a reserve. It says that on the knob.
A good cleaner and some rocks in the old tank shake it around it will clean it good. We do that with ours on the farm. We have an old ford 9 n my grandfather bought used over 60 years ago and a 64 international B424 he bought brand new
Looks like they changed the generator to alternator. We have a ford tractor and we changed the generator to alternator. We also changed the 6 volts system to 12 volts.
We will need to have ear pugs on when you try to mount that bumper guard back on the front of tractor. This video may be valuable when you get ready to mount the new tank. Miss Britt has not said what my dad always said when he was teaching me how to do something... about 1/3rd of the way in, he would say" you make me want to do it myself". I have to admit It went much easier than I expected.. Tyler we can see the pride in what you have just done in Miss Britts smile!
I've rebuilt so many of those, a lot of the mating surfaces warp over time, and the butterfly shafts tend to have vacuum leaks, I'd have to agree with the comment to not run long rubber hoses, they used carriage bolts on a lot of trucks those years I have a bunch of them on my 48 and 52 Ford trucks, I still have the sediment bowl off the 48, I like to run what we called volkswagon filters so you can see, nice to be able to get a new carb, and tank I know the dirty tank blues! 😂
What year is your jubilee Ford? A husband and wife I follow live in Alabama. Jason was gifted his grandfather Ford tractor. I had many of the issues you have.He put a new gas tank on amongst other issues. He plans on using for their garden. They live on a 40 acre farm.😊
wait, you have a new tank already on the tractor! well not original, probably replaced in the 70s. Ford blue was born in the early 60s. it's a pain but using paper paint filters when filling with gas keeps dirt out of the tank. keep that old iron going!
Now that's how an old Ford tractor should sound! Great job!
Yes,really enjoyed. Tractor purrs like one of the 🐈

I enjoyed this one, I have the same exact old tractor.

I really enjoy the varied content you guys provide. Keep it coming.
Yes, humming right along. We had a 8N when I was young. Enjoyed watching you work on this ole Ford!
Glad you enjoyed it!

We're glad you enjoyed it!
Enjoyed the wrenching.
I grew up learning how to drive on one of those tractors. Brought back memories.
I just bought an 8n with a loader on it. It needs steering column bearings. I will do it when it warms up. Love them old fords.
Sounds like a fun project!
Love Y'All God Bless
Hi from Alabama love your videos

Love all your content! Regardless what you are all up to!

Glad to see the old Beast is running better.

The simplest way to fix wiring issues!!!!
My grandchildren and I really enjoyed the fishing videos on the river. See you next time!
Another great video guys! very nice job on the tractor!👍🏻
I feel your pain trying to work with those big ole mitts. My grandad used to call em meat hooks.
old tractors are great, My folks have a 1948 International Cub that needs some fixin

Love the video thanks guys 👍😂🇬🇧
I also like to solder ends and use shrink tube too!👍
Sounds great
Great job guys!!!!!LOVE THE VIDEO.
Love the wrenching videos.
They don't build them like that anymore. The older equipment from back in the day is still running strong today.
Might not hurt to install an in-line fuel filter right before the fuel line reaches the carb. Looked like there was a good place for it.
Good job
Sweet Sweet sound
Ausie is the head mechanic checking things out
fun times love it
Enjoy your video as always
Your little dogs barking in the background are driving Snuggles nuts. lol

Yep, it is a big upgrade!
Thanks for the awesome video I really enjoyed it hopefully you should have a great season with it well done guys ❤❤❤
I hope so too!
Purrrr baby purrrrr😂😂😂😂
Wiring on old tractors can be a nightmare.
You ain’t kidding!
Great video
Heat and vibration on a rubber fuel line might take a toll after time.
Maybe, but will be a long time!
❤❤❤

Bolts for the tank nut on the bottom not the top

THANKS!
Nice job on the tractor .SEEYA
Nice video and good job
My granddaddy had a tractor just like that one.

😊
It's a grille guard.
Fuel filter!
I was also thinking, put an inline fuel filter close to the carb.
The correct it's called a brush guard to help prevent punching a hole in the radiator or mashing the grill.
It’s a drain plug that you plug
a new set of tires, a new set of rims .. a new tank .... led me to think about, after all ... is your good old tractor still your good old tractor? ;)
Needs paint next.
Perks
🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Now I may be wrong. It's happen before. A lot. But may be a brush guard
I love Brit's liberal use of the word "we".
Ooga Dooga wrench ?
the sound a air wrench makes when using.
Hoping you are not using ethanol gas, that stuff will mess that carb all up.
I'll bet you don't have a mouse problem
Sand the rust off of the hood and at least put primer on it.
the ford live to go another day
Nice job yall should get several more years of work outta the ole girl
John Deere all the way, Johnny popper best !!!
That car looked like you could drive right over him.
Great video
Good job
Great video
