Appreciate all the options you show. It helps narrow down what to start searching for and trying on to quickly find something I’ll like. Every body is different and you address style and fabric too.
Hi Nada. First of all, I want to tell you that I just found your videos and I absolutely love them. Thank you for helping us to dress for our bodies. I wear all of these styles. My favorite is the trapeze dress. I find that if I size down it becomes more fitted to my bust and it still hides the tummy.
Thank you so much Anna! Yes, that’s a great strategy. It needs to fit really well at the top so that the flow at the bottom is still flattering. Thank you for sharing and for the comment.
Thanks, Nada. Some of us older women have more of a thick trunk rather than a bulging belly. These dresses can work for the thick menopausal midriff I suppose, but can you do a video specifically on this body type, especially with thin legs?
Your recommendations do make sense. I am also short (under 5'2"), with a rectangle shaped body and a fuller bust. I find that softer fabrics are much more forgiving and don't overpower my frame. One of the first looks you revealed with the top hitting around the high hip with a shorter skirt under it would suit my style, along with some of the more asymmetrical gathered dresses. I am enjoying the content you are covering in your videos.
It’s really hard to show how any of these work, when they aren’t modelled by large women. And hardly any layering which is truly how to camouflage true size.
I understand your frustration, but layering is not the only way to camouflage a full tummy and definitely not an option when the weather is hot. Also, large women are not the only ones who want to camouflage their tummies. This can apply to anyone who has a tummy that is out of proportion to their body or anyone who just wants to flatter that area with dresses. I do have other videos discussing strategies for plus sized women.
THANK YOU!! I am not a large woman…but I’ve had 5 kids and now I look permanently pregnant. My youngest is 3 years old and I was congratulated on my pregnancy at the airport lol.
Love, love, love the options to minimize the belly. It seems to me that at the same time, these styles also do wonders for hips and tush. In the summer with sandals I suppose a bare leg is in style, although veins and cellulite are a bit nasty when the dress is short. If we’re talking fall and winter, are there preferences for pantyhose plain or patterned? I’m from the era of wearing pantyhose and I feel naked going bare legged especially with light skin. Unfortunately, no tan here. Self tanning products work so so. I’m 5ft 1 in and really love the mini but showing all my stuff at 77 isn’t very pretty but I don’t want to wear a sack. Any direction would be appreciated.
Thank you so much for the comment! I’m so glad you found this helpful. I would consider a bronzing cream instead of a self tanner. They can give your skin a little instant color and glow. You can definitely do pantyhose or tights either textured or not. Of course the pantyhose have to be very sheer and mattress skin exactly. But tights are very much trending right now so we should have a lot of options in them and there are some really cute ones. Definitely do not need to do a mini, but a skirt at the base of the knee looks beautiful on most women. Thanks again for the comment. I’m so glad you liked the video.
@@NadaManley I thought after I received my masters degree I could take it easy with learning, but here I am . As least this is “fun” learning. When I was a teenager, I thought I was pretty cool. H8 nada I like the trapeze dresses from COS but going braless doesn't work for mean even though I like my arms and shoulders. Strapless bras don't feel secure, or do I just need to get used to them? Any tips? It's such a shame...
Let's talk about minimizing your tummy through style! (No crunches required lol). Which of these dress styles have you tried? You can shop them all right here. hueandstripe.com/catalog/306H&SaXts?s=667371
Hello, I would like to make an observation. I am 80, and some of your ideas do not appy. Ex. I do not worry about, but mercy for the wrinkles all down my arms, also my backside. So no sleeveless for me. Also use a wheelchair, and that creates a dressing problem. Especially in the shoe dept. Thanks for any suggestions.
I wish she would wear the dresses herself and show us on it looks on a real person who’s is not model height and size.. a plus size who is 5’8 and about is going to look drastically different than most women who tend to be around 5’4”
Thank you. I have done videos like this featuring women that I know, but these pics are of the clothes and come from the retailers websites. I didn't take any of these pics. We're looking at styles here that are currently available.

Hi again Nada
I love a body con dress and wear them with a topper, be it a blazer, vest or cardigan. It makes me feel much more comfortable in it.
I do the same!!
Thank you so much! This video is saved!
Thanks for the suggestions. What is the brand and type of shapewear you recommend?
You sure found some beautiful dresses.

Who makes the color blocked empire dress with the darker color at the bottom and the cute jacket/shrug?
I think the one that you’re talking about is from Boden but if you tell me where it’s located in the video, I can make sure

What under garments do you prefer?
I have large fibroids but I am not planning on doing surgery, so I look pregnant. I am 5'1. Thanks for the tips!

Video is good except it's more on talking and less showing examples. It would be better if while explaining the picture is shown
I wish I could see women in their 80s with the round belly models
Beautiful dresses! I have no tummey but nevertheless love trapez dresses!
New subscriber in Alaska.
Maybe you should show how to cover a tummy with people who actually have a tummy. .....just saying.

You have tooth picks...lol😂😂. I'm looking for real women with stomachs...
What a rude comment. So those women in the pictures are not real because their bellies are not like yours?
