    Thank you so much for making this channel. It's so hard to tell from websites and marketing pictures what these things actually look like in a room with someone on them. Thi sis some quality content with lots of insight. I can't believe you're also answering all the questions in the comments. You're providing such a service to all of us shopping for a 'mill.

    NOTE: This product works exactly as described. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxguEIMc_Qwab-3QMTpF6jaRL80hiOOsIN It originally earned a four-star review due to a minor defect (see below). However, the manufacturer's customer service rep (Lita) went above and beyond the call of duty and deserves five stars now. I wish I could give even more!I purchased this item which arrived quickly. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. There was only one problem: One bolt did not screw into the hole properly. I called the company. Their customer service rep (Lita) was terrific! She took all my information and submitted a request to replace the defective part. I'm hoping to finish assembly and start using this treadmill soon. (Fingers crossed...)FOLLOW UP: Lita called back to inform me that the company will send a replacement part AND a technician(!!) to install it properly. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!!

    Thank you for the very nicely done video. Are you able to bypass the IFit altogether, and access some preset programs? Or, are all of the programs through IFit? In other words, if for some reason you do not renew the I Fit subscription, how does the unit function?

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question. The onboard or preset workouts are give to you through the iFit platform so you still have to use iFit, but it's just a free version that has about 60-ish workouts that you can use. Maybe 10 of these are lead by an iFit trainer and then there will be Google maps workouts and some other graph workouts. One nice thing is that they usually rotate between the iFit trainer lead workouts so you'll still get updated content every few days if you aren't paying for a subscription. One negative to this is that you still have to use an internet connection because you're streaming the workouts through the iFit platform. Please let me know if you have any follow up questions.

    Very informative and well put together. Thanks so much for the knowledge shared!
    My question is for any of these smart treadmills that use subscription services, do they need to be connected to wifi to work at all?
    The internet service in my area is not always consistent so I don’t want to be left without the ability to use the treadmill.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a great question. We should emphasize this in our reviews! YES!! You need a solid WiFi connection because all the content is streamed - it's not preloaded on the machine. The best way to test your WiFi signal is to use an iPad or tablet. Take it to the area you plan to use your treadmill and try to stream something from NetFlix, etc. If it works, you should be fine. If not, you may need an extender or other solution to strengthen the signal.

  • @ayokay123
    @ayokay123 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    When you do these reviews, you should speed up your walking pace to the point it requires full arm swing motion. This will show us if your hands hit the underside of the console...which I've found to be a common occurrence. Additionally, there is absolutely no excuse for the machine not to come with at least a few pre-loaded video terrain hikes that don't require internet. Memory is cheap as hell. Thanks for the thorough review.

    Thank you for creating this channel and the videos! In my search for a good treadmill as a novice, I have found your channel to be super helpful! To this end, with help of several of your videos I have now been able to narrow down my search for a budget friendly and good treadmill for me (5 ft in, 168 lbs) to Proform Carbon series. However, I am still deciding about T10 vs T7. The main differences seem to be only the screen size (10 vs 7) and motor (2.75 vs 2.6) at a cost difference of current prices of $999 vs $649. Would you recommend T7 over T10? Also, I am concerned with your comment that you wouldn't recommend running over 6 miles, given that the specs include running upto 10 miles per hour.

    • @TreadmillReviewGuru
      @TreadmillReviewGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In general, we recommend the T10 over the T7 simply because the screen on the T7 is quite small and can be hard to see. You won't notice a difference in the motor size. Regarding your question about the running capacity, the T10 is designed for running moderate distances - around 6 miles or so per day would be fine. Beyond that it might be taxing on the motor. You can, however, run any speed up to 10mph. Long hours of training may be hard on the motor, but it will support any speed.

The website for Proform has the motor listed as 3.0.....I'm wondering if this a typo or an upgrade? At that size of a motor could milage be increased? Could somebody do ten miles on it? Thanks!

      Yes - ProForm increased the motor power on the 2022 model T10. It will support running just fine. The cushioning isn't as soft as on more expensive treadmills, but it is a great compact option. You could run 10 miles on this model.

    Unfortunately the three year plan cost more than the machine which I just saw on sale somewhere for way less that what the plan cost. And Proform says it’s a three year family plan so it wouldn’t make any sense for me as a single person to even try to get this for “ free with 3 year plan at their” at $1,400 or 1,499 price. There is always a catch or gimmick to these things.

  • @jaimelesglace

    It makes a very annoying noise when raising and declining. However, one major thing you never talk about in your vidoes is the warranty and customer support. ProForm customer support is appalling by all accounts and even though there is onsite repair, they actually send you the item and expect the user to repair it. It is disgraceful and this should be in included in your reviews. Further, there seems to be reliability issues with their products and the warranty is non-transferable.

      Hi! We hope to test and review the ProForm City L6 soon! We don't have it in our studio just yet. In the meantime you can check out our reviews of the Echelon Stride and the Botorro R5 treadmills. They are very similar.
      Our thoughts on the City L6 - it's going to be a solid treadmill for anyone who wants a compact folding treadmill that they are going to use primarily for walking and some light jogging. The motor is really small and in turn, the highest speed is only 8 mph, but for someone who only wants to walk and do some light jogging, this should work great. At the affordable price tag this comes at, the City L6 is a solid machine that gives you a nice bang for your buck compared to other ProForm treadmills. Let us know if you have any follow up questions.
