The road is also as bumpy as fuck as you can see from the camera shaking constantly. This is not a smooth as 4 lane wide German Autobahn. When I see 300kph on those I expect it. Here on a single lane bumpy as fuck road 200+ is riding on the edge.
Blackbirds are timeless. Still modern looking for a bike that was introduced in 1996. Yeah, it may not be the "fastest" now but it is by no means a slouch. I currently have a Busa, ZX14, and 3 CBR 1100xx Blackbirds. I like them all but I like the XX's the best. This was Honda at its best- Too bad Honda sucks now.
Thanks for the reply, I actually looked Stanley Chasm up on Google Maps and there is a sign at the start of the vid with some other town names, so discovered where you ride. Wish I had roads like that, but don't in this part of the states so have to keep my speeds lower. Your Blackbird really rocks, great vid. When you say that "there's loads of traffic on the road today", I had to chuckle. Keep the rubber side down friend.
It is in Central Oz. we are careful of roos but they are only really active at dusk and dawn in those twilight times. to see one in the heat of the day on the move is very unusual.
Love those Super Blackbirds! I keep thinking that you must be riding in Austrailia from the look of the scenery, in which case, look out for those roos! Since I'm stateside, your riding on the other side of the rode makes my brain keep shouting, "look out, you're about to smash headfirst into a car!"
Modified my '02 model 'Bird with a Power Commander and a de-cat with titanium slip ons. Prefer the mid range now. Nice vid! I still surprise a few 'Busa owners with the handling. :)

Hi from the UK, great vid, I too have a 2000 model BB XX awesome bike they are too. but hate to hear all of the time it's not as fast as a busa/zx12, zx14,? but peoples, Suzuki and Kawasaki, had to use bigger cc to beat the SBB1100 XX as Honda did build an anniversary edition 1200cc that is very capable of out running/handling the three I've mentioned above, plus if you tamper n tweak around a bit with with your own SBB "upgrades" suspension too, you end up owning a bike that has looks and unbelievable power n handling to match too, "SBB XX FOREVER" best pound for pound bike out there that will do anything you ask it to doooo.... (Kaw Suz Yam moves the body, Honda SBB XX moves the soul)..... ride safe 0zlrender0
+Boomboom The Bird is a sweet bike. It takes the rider to make another bike faster. I now ride a ZX10R but my mate here in the Bird is still quicker. Its the rider first and the bike second, unless the bike is really really under powered.
infact i just watched it all again as if i was on the bike aaaah so good ! i like how you/he just dances on the edges of those dirt lines from other cars n trucks staying out of it by inches, specially on some of those long sweepers near the end heh heh.. nice one
@mysticalgrove VERY wise words my friend, and that's exactly what I thought - until I got to own a Blackbird. I commute on my Bird and so far got to keep my license but give me a piece of road like the OP has and I lose all sense - every time. One day I will lose much more than that, but I will go happy. Point of my comment - try it, see if you still think the same.
The superblackbird, took the title from the zzr1100 and despite all the other supertourers since it is still the best, i'm on my third one and they are the greatest !!!!!!!!!
@mysticalgrove actually where I live is in the middle of the desert and the nearest track is 1500km north or south of us. If there was a track here (and like Qatar it would make an excellent place for one) then Id be riding on it. but since there isnt and theres just long wide roads with very very little traffic on them we use them instead.
I think you mean "Akrapovic" exhaust. I just replaced my ZX6R that had a Yoshimura with a ZX10R that has an Akrapovic. Lost the ZX6R due to a stupid 4WD pulling out on me in a roundabout. It was written off. but on the upside I have now upgraded to a ZX10R.
@flyfastnhigh13 The description pretty much says it all really., execpt my mate on the CBR has now fitted twin after market pipes on it. Ill have to find out the brand.
They are very reliable. I have 2 mates with them I ride with, their bikes are 5 years old and have had no mechanical issues at all. As for petrol at high speed (like any bike) they will drain the juice. I think the bird will do a trip of about 180km on a tank at speeds staying at 200kph+ topping out at 300kph. not too bad really.
Wow. Bumpy road for 270+kph. You were rewal lucky you weren't leaned into a corner and needing power to pull out of it when the ignition died. Thank God you were in the upright position. It's still a dangerous situation when something unexpected like that happens. I ride a 91 zx11.
Great ride dude ! I have a 1100 Super BB in Sweden were i live and it's a -07 late model. It is fast as m****fuck'r doing over 300 kph easy ! Just gone 14000 km on the speedo;) Changing my exhausts to a nice 4-1 from acropowich with powercommander any day now for mor power. I am easily doing fat wheelies on third gear !! It's my best bike ever and the insurance is so cheap it's stupid :)
I see you have those hiding cars, where you ride too, they seem to be everywhere these days. lol Nice ride you have there, have you ever GPS the top speed to the speedo. There is no good place, to ride like that around where I live, not that I would, way to chicken, wrong type of bird for speed. Thanks for the vid. yl
2nd comment ;) BB is a mighty power and buletproof bike but i`m ipressed by zx6 BB runs better than the devil it self (i had `98 one- carburreted version) but zx6 seems to be an amizing 600cc so it`s a same it is not XX 600ccm (than it would not be a kawasaki)
Just watch out for the baby goat's, kangaroos, especially and often emu near the road, pig's, dogs, cat's, cattle, (especially). And dead animals on the road.

Great video, l’ve just acquired a very low kilometre 2004 model.

Show de bola, eu ja tive XX e é muito show....
Hoje tenho Hayabusa, mas sinto saudades da XX.
Parabens

Ahhh... This brings back memories! I don't think I've done the chasm run since my R6... Keen as to get out there again!

Are you still with us?
@mooncatt79 Theres not much in the way of bends out where I live, but the straights are long enough to wind out the blackbird fully. and that = fun!!!
what a ride ! WOW
The superblackbird, took the title from the zzr1100 and despite all the other supertourers since it is still the best, i'm on my third one and they are the greatest !!!!!!!!!
big mistake honda ended the xx the best bike ever
Completely agree
Stanley Chasm is in Alice Springs area
Pure adrenalin buzz. Great run Stu. :)
@spoonman73 a lot of what you see isnt sand on the road but simply worn bitumen. sand to the degree you think you see will have us in the grass.

I like them and think they are a good looking machine, but are they reliable and good on petrol?
I'm thinking of buying one of these, nice bike, nice vid. peace

Fajny filmik ocena 5/5.
prefer the original dash display. not a big fan of the digital speedo.
I need a motorcycle, this looks like too much fun =(
Dangerous riding in such a rough and narrow road.
If you did buy it you would never regret it or look back :)
austrtalia?
+Sandro Fiorotto Yes in Oz mate. Central Australia in the Northern Territory.
+Sandro Fiorotto Yes. Central Australia, NT
@kapisko1PL australian outback.
Crazy guy! Imagine hitting a turtle at that speed😱 lol. 🤣
Nice :)
That's a lot of sand in the road man.
Thats worn bitumen not sand mate.
yeehaaa ,,, BB 4ever
hellô! very good, very mad, where you live? i'm brazil, é muita loucura numa estrada dessa. by by
Claerton Arcoverde This is in Central Australia, Northern Territory.
Very much like SA. Only without murderous mini bus taxis.
Need BBXX (Big Balls XX Chromosomes) to ride 200+ on bumpy as fuck roads 😆😅🤣
My father has one of these bikes, and is goes like a shower of shit out of hell.
Sadly he is selling it, but now i want it.
WTF is an Abbo?
Ok, I see in the comments below that I was right..I guessed that this was Australia.
I don't believe this is the right road for such speed, especially with so much dust and sand all over it..
Armidilla by morning-
Oh, okay. That's new. To me anyway.
Just watch out for the baby goat's, kangaroos, especially and often emu near the road, pig's, dogs, cat's, cattle, (especially). And dead animals on the road.
Watch out for the Kangaroo's !!!
And the Possoms
And the spider's
And the Snakes
And the Crocs
And the Abbo's
No Possoms or Crocs in the desert mate but plently of the rest of your list
