How to make Wheaties Dough ball bait recipe for Carp and Catfish fishing.
This bait brings me back to simpler times. When I first started fishing for carp and catfish as a kid this wheaties was the go to bait recipe. Things have evolved over the years. I learned of pack bait recipes a few years down the road the lead to more fish being caught and less watching your rods. Wheaties dough ball is still a very simple, easy and effective bait to use.

We’re from Chicago and my great grandmother would take me up to the creeks in Wisconsin with her to fish during the summer. Wheaties, whiskey and tabacco spit😂. Fish would go nuts. I remember me and my dad used to use nothing but Wheaties. We would make dough balls, flatten it out, put maple syrup, different spices, ( pumpkin spice, all spice, cinnamon, etc.) Always worked really well for us. This video brings back a lot of memories of me and my dad fishing for carp. My dad has been gone now a little over a year and I actually still use Wheaties to this day at times. Works when nothing else does most of the time.

Yes sir and passing it down to my kids as well. My oldest loves to fish, don't matter what type of fish as long as he is fishing. Just a few weeks ago he caught his first musky and was so excited!! Was a good size for around my area. His eyes filled with tears when he saw what it was with excitement lol.

Id use a sock to make the balls. Put the wheaties in, crush up in the sock and soak the whole sock in the water and could mould it to shape in the sock.
I use Aldi brand bran flacks, Faygo red pop, and a few drops of strawberry extract.
Sounds like some good additives to me

Yes. Almost all carp bait catches tons of catfish as well

Been using strawberry pop and wheaties dough bait for over 30 years now and it's never disappointed plus easy and cheap always able to fill a stringer.

What size and brand hooks do you use. Thanks for the videos
I import them I believe they are the exact same hook that other places are selling as I have bought both. They do not have a brand name and I would say they are about a size 2. This video brought back some memories especially the lawn chair went to indy lakes last night hit 4 fish over 20 best being 25.12 smallest being 20.4 caught 15 fish total

I still use Wheaties. Put a drop of pure anise extract on it. And I have a few other ways I make dough ball.
Its a good bait.
