    I want this Continental so bad. I never want or desire what everyone else is driving.....that means no BMW 5 series, Audi A6, or Pedestrian E class Mercedes....I like the Continental and the Volvo V90....getting back to true luxury not canyon carving...I never understood why those who want true luxury are interested in feeling every bump on the road when that contradicts what Luxury stands for....isolation, quiet luxury (Lincoln's mantra), and effortless power. Way to go Lincoln

      @@Nightbird. Yea man had a nice 2017 Continental Reserve and it had 24000 miles with everything I wanted including Moonroof, Ultima Revel Sound system and the seats asking $31.5k however once you add tax and financing my monthly payment would have been close to $700/mo plus another $200 for insurance that's almost $1k a month 😔😰...

    @Kryotek7 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I like the outside styling, not too chromey. The interior UX on the centre console is a mess though, why would you put the gear modes right next to the touch screen? The size of the screen already looks dated as well. This for $75k or a 'base' Panamera for $85k, I know which one gets my money.

    I can tell you right now, because I have owned over 45 cars in my life that this Lincoln makes the Cadillac CT6 look cheap by comparison when you see them side-by-side on the road or when you look at their Interiors together! this Lincoln has a luxury presence that the Cadillac CT6 is lacking

    • @coureurdebois
      @coureurdebois 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      the CT6 is on another level in terms of Luxury and tech. and "more presence" are you kidding me? this looks like a bloated Tuarus inside and out. i guess the elegant, sleek, and luxurious design goes over the head of the mentally inept.

    • @jamiecox2256
      @jamiecox2256 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Justin Bouche you are dead wrong as I have seen them both in person and I could afford either car. I will contend that the CT6 is a far superior car and handling but as far as Road presence and interior design..... the CT6 is not on the same level I'm sorry

    • @jamiecox2256
      @jamiecox2256 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Justin Bouche and just to be clear, I am not talking about technology I am talking about how the cars interior packaging is delivered in the Lincoln compared to the CT6. The CT6 is constantly grilled about its cheap interior Plastics considering the price tag and I have yet to hear the same level of criticism about the interior of the new Lincoln Continental. To be truthful I would still take the ct6 over the Continental because I believe it's a far superior car as far as entertaining to drive and yes technology!

    • @coureurdebois
      @coureurdebois 7 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      *i will rip your entire position apart*
      1. *the materials in the CT6 are far more premium coming with Nappa, semi-aniline, mulan leather unlike the conti. The cabin features full suede headliner unlike the conti, carbon fiber in place of plastics which are found in the conti, less over all plastic usage in the CT6, more premium materials are used and a wider variety of premium woods / leathers are used versus the plastic conti.*
      *(so better materials, more premium materials, and more exotic materials are in the CT6)*
      2. *the CT6 uses state of the art chassis construction making it over 1000 lbs lighter, its a unique architecture that is quieter, lighter, stiffer, and higher quality than the Taurus FWD Lincoln conti.*
      *(RWD, light weight, advanced platform unlike the rebadged Taurus)*
      3. *FAR more performance in the CT6 thanks to a meatier power band, more power, and less weight*
      4. *more Luxury features such as MR control, Rear wheel steer, stronger massaging seats, LCD rear view, rear massaging seats, and a much more robust 34 speaker sound system*
      *so go ahead, praise the slower, lower tech, FWD, rebadged Tarsus, which comes with less exotic leathers, woods, and suede's for the Lincoln badge.*
      *your position has been debunked and destroyed* GG.

    • @jamiecox2256
      @jamiecox2256 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Justin Bouche what are you talking about? I already said the car/CT6 has more technology than the Lincoln and it is a better-performing car thsn the Lincoln. I'm talking exclusively about the presentation and quality of the materials in the car and the exterior design of the car. The ct-6 looks like a blown-up ATS or CTS where's to the Lincoln had his own platform and doesn't look like any other car on the road within the Ford family!
      You're entitled to your opinion and I can respect that, but you haven't debunked anything. Look at all the reviews when the CTS is against Mercedes eClass, the BMW 5 Series and the ct-6 is constantly grilled about its cheap interior bits. That's what I'm talking about.

  • @aky19832001

    Indont the logic as to why they cant make the 3.7 by twin turbo? Why only the 2.7 and 3.0? All three models should offer twin turbo. It's a heavy sedan. That v6 will need all the power it can get. I reckon the 3.7L have gotten about 475 hp. When the hell is this trend of small lawn mower engines with turbo going to end? They could have have made a small v8 and still got the same gas milage and the price difference wouldn't have been that drastic. It's already nearing 50k. I wonder what realibility look like for this. I have my reservations. If your going to spend almost 50k. Head on over to Lexus. At least your guaranteed quality and realibility.

    I feel i have to say my age 36 and the fact ive happily owned all three German brands new at the time when I say Im buying one of these. Why? Because everyone says no one in my age group would consider such a car. Top that no one would cross shop the Germans with this car. Im here to tell you yes they are. Ive driven the new E and newest 5 and honestly im not that wowed. And I loved my X3 and Z4 M Roadster. The ML was nice. Hey be honest Lincoln is bad ass if you say it looks cheap then your just an ass. "Everything you can do I can do better" rings true here when you compare dollar to dollar.

    very disappointed. the interior quality is not much better than what is found in the new lacrosse... i was really hoping Lincoln could finally make something to take on Cadillac. the only thing that seems like its able to match or come close to the CT6 is the seats, other than that cheaper materials, less features, and over all less luxury.

      Justin Bouche You say that the CT6 FAR outperforms the Conti, and it does not. The 3.0L TTV6 in the CT6 has only four more horsepower than the 3.0L TTV6 in the Conti. They both share the same exact amount of torque, and they both hit 60 in 5 seconds.

      Robby S it weighs near 500 lbs less, its RWD vs FWD, its chassis is far stiffer that is what i was referring to in terms of performance, also it is important to keep in mind the 3.0 in the CT6 has a far thicker power band thanks to duel stage turbos.
