I'm sure he would although could you imagine what Giger himself would have done with Deforum as an art medium? He would have painted a way darker and weirder animation than I could ever imagine
Makes me feel like I'm touring a massive Borg ship that merges biology & technology. The imagery of masks in your videos reminds me of the old European plague masks doctors wore. They had very long protrudung noses to keep doctors' faces a safe distance from patients.
I do have a plague doctor animation that I had not got around to finishing, maybe I need to look into getting that one done. I have lots of part finished animations, Gustave Dore 19th century London, Roby Dwi Antono surreal stuff, a 3d 360 degree gothic art gallery animation, Vermeer art animation, Caravaggio stuff, Minnie Mouse, Lovecraft Cthulu stuff, Robert Crumb, Willie Wonka, Native American, Silent Hill and on and on...all part finished. I'm quite prolific with animating but not great as to which direction I want them to go in
Couldn't really use anything else that had the same impact. The score is just as hardwired into everyone's nervous system than the movie. Its surprising how much a score can give you nightmares
@francolli definitely!!! The Goldsmith score and Horner scores were so perfect for those movies. Admittedly I have a soft spot for the Alien 3 score. Underrated. 🍻 🤝
To be fair to your comment I do have a soft spot for Alien 3. I love that speech toward the end as Ripley falls into the mold, and Brian Glover is one of the best actors I can think of. The movie was bogged down by politics but Is a cult classic@@MarcusHardyDJDirtyOne
@francolli same here bruv!!! I have problems with it, but it's descent for what it is. Charles S Dutton is my bro in that one for sure!!! I like the assembly cut too, there's just a wierd musical edit when Ripleys falling into the mold. Def a cult classic. Resurrection has a place in my tbh, even though it's bonkers 😆. Cheers my friend!!!!
Thanks Charlie, weird goodness. Its tough slowing down Deforum videos, you need to interpolate what starts as a 180 frame animation to 4X that which adds frames by AI in all the nooks and cranny's, then you have a 96 fps video which you can slow down massively and remain smooth. Very strange. Thanks for stopping by :)
The music gets me. It seems a lot like the music from the original Alien, at the beginning scene where we're taken on a tour of the ship before the crew is awoken.
Its really interesting isn't it? I come from a world where I spent 25 to 30 years before the internet and before mobile phones. To me its even more staggering than with most people where we are today😀
If technology is like this in a hundred years I'm glad I'll be long gone. In the last 18 months the ability for people like myself who had no knowledge of animation before, to create insane stuff like this, then god only knows where we will be this time next year@@SamuelBlack84
It looks fantastic, anyone who has ever taken LSD will notice that it doesn't reflect disturbed images but rather today's future, what I find very deep. At the end of the day it is art, which makes it all the sadder that certain scientists don't appreciate his art and portray it as controversial.
Deforum for me is like a visual LSD trip. Just working with it is a constant battle to not allow it to take over your concept. Even when you try your best to make it do what you want it to do it will always fight you and want to do its own thing, sometimes that's bad but other times it will take over and present you with something that blows your mind that you never dreamed possible. Like LSD its a symbiotic relationship, sometimes you control it other times it will take over and take you on a wild ride. The Giger animation I only had about 50% control over what was going on, the rest it had a mind of its own and wanted to do the wildest thing imaginable. Not sure if this bodes well for A.I in general but for now I'm having fun with it
Hypnotic isn't it? Bekskinski is a great subject as an artist but Giger just has that strange edge that you just can't quite match. Unsettling and dark but beautiful and strange along with it
Thanks a lot! Happy you stopped by, I'm a complete newbie, I've only been doing this a couple of months but the animations are getting better as I learn more skills with this. I plan to push things into a realm that the Deforum bot was never intended to go :)
The world of A.I can get really strange, sometimes as strange as Giger's thoughts. Creepy kids don't help matters really :) Part of he prompt that started this was my love of Giger's work 'Birth Machine' with the creepy kids loaded into an open gun magazine and organic bullets, really strange.
Its interesting that Deforum and he way it works seems to be suited to weird and strange animations, once the prompt goes in you only have a limited control over what it dreams up, I find it odd that AI hallucinates and can surprise even me at times when it deviates from what you intended it to do. Hallucinating computers eh? Whatever next? Thanks for stopping by and keep an eye out for weirder stuff as I learn more
I'm definitely tempted to do an animation around the movie 'DarkStar' That sequence with Dolittle trying to reason with that bomb using philosophy and phenominology to stop it blowing up is an all time iconic movie sequence
Они действительно странные дети, это точно. У Гигера была картина под названием «Машина рождения», на которой дети - это пули в гигантском пистолетном магазине. Вот что натолкнуло меня на
Yeah, it does look like her, interesting where A.I gets its ideas isn't it? The start of this video is an interesting prompt that doesn't even mention her. Here is the prompt; (A perspective photorealistic Biomechanoid Giger style sci fi movie scene in the style of artist Bacon's 1963 Triptych painting' Three studies for a portrait of Henrietta Moraes' coupled with H.R Giger design and black porcelain organic structural architecture and decay. Wet surface textures, dramatic, outlandish dystopian) Curious how it slotted Hedy Lamarr into it ???🙂
What is really interesting is that I only started this you tube channel in late December last year yet technology and my own understanding of animation has drastically moved on so I could do this Giger one so much better and a lot creepier now. I now understand frame interpolation and green screen tech as two examples. Both would have made this creepier X10. Things will be going in a stranger direction on this channel from this point
More to come my friend. The stuff I have been working on behind the scenes this week has shocked even me, and that isn't easy to do. I will be posting some of my new adventures in animation during the week@@smetljesm2276
You should see it after all my expertise went into slowing it down frame by frame. Some real strange stuff in there between frames. This is what Deforum does. Its like that Uncle who comes over at Christmas and never fails to shock people with his behavior. It has a mind of its own at times
The stuff nightmares are made of
Definitely. It kinda freaked me out when I completed it. When you can freak yourself out its worth putting online I guess
Giger would love this!

Like a sexy dream
Красиво , художественно , театрально , как всегда супер
Спасибо за добрый комментарий. Гигер - мастер темного искусства. Благодаря его вдохновению у вас всегда получится странная и красивая анимация
Lol its literally how I've imagined what the inside of Giegers mind looked like😆
You wouldn't want to spend too much time in his head for sure, lol
The music gets me. It seems a lot like the music from the original Alien, at the beginning scene where we're taken on a tour of the ship before the crew is awoken.
Yep, that's the music. I tried to create something similar to put with it but that original score is just the fabric of Giger
Authentic Jerry Goldsmith Alien music. Dark. Bleak.
my god. the things we can do with our technology today.

I see this behind my eyelids every night! Not the music though.

2:53 ambiguous Funko Pop. All other frames, nightmare fuel.
Lol, funko pop eh? I really need to try that term in deforum and see what happens
