You don't need to wet sand, use a microfibre cutting pad on the d/a with a heavy cut compound, then use a finer compound with the orange pad. You need to get rid of the hazing next using a finishing compound with a black soft pad. The hazing is when you shine the light and see the blue haze around the reflection. A proper detail will take three days. I should know as I do it for a living.

Absolutely flawless paint never seen a car like it, loving the te37's way more than I thought but you need to change the red bits to blue

Yo Devin you won’t need to replace the spoiler you can take it all apart and refurb it it’s really easy and the whole spoiler is carbon fibre even the end caps there is a guide on Evo m net if that helps love you channel and the hard work keep it up 👍👌

You can fix that carbon wing by sanding the gel coat right back till you just get to carbon then rear clear with 2k. Its the original gel coat thats yellowed and previous person who fixed didnt sand it back enough unfortunately.

Hey Devin, if you want to get more suds with your foam cannon, you can replace the orifice in the foam cannon for the 1.1mm orifice. It's an easy replacement, just a flat head screwdriver, wrench and some teflon tape.

An evo without it's original wing is like kim Kardashian without them big cheeks imo...I had the same thing happening in my old evo, took an airbrush and faded the edges leaving the top carbon exposed and it looked awesome

Never owned an EVO but also have never seen one better looking than the Black 8. All the cars and truck you have? Would take the Black 8, 100 times out of 100
Nice job. My only critique is that when you sand a car and then cut it, especially black, its good to let it out gas over night before putting a finish on it. You’ll get a clearer and better finish in the end. But nevertheless still came out nice
Order some carcarez towels off Amazon you won’t regret it! Get the high pile (high gsm) and then lower gsm ones as well. Makes it much nicer to keep cars clean with just a quick detailed if u stay caught up and won’t scratch paint or coatings. Also get a micro fiber towe wash and only air dry!

Ceramic coating doesn’t make it harder to compound/polish a car. You can actually remove the coating without much effort with a microfiber cloth and polish by hand. The coating, especially the one you used, is not why it’s hard to correct the defects.

You should see how a carbon fiber duck bill looks on it!
Start with a lower grit instead next time to cut down the sanding time on spots that need more work. Seems like an extra step but it will be faster, and use less sand paper sheets

Why don’t you invest in some good equipment, the harbour freight sh*te is ok for home use and not using it much, but not for professional use like you use your stuff for. Also I would recommend some hearing protection when using air tools man for a prolonged period of time, $5 ear defenders will save you big money instead of going to the doc for a hearing aid in your late 40s.
Sick job with the paint work btw man, you really have come a long way with your automotive and paint skills, I like your dedication to making something perfect and I can see why your channel is gonna continue on growing in the new year.
