As a former owner of a BMW Z4, I can relate. I now own a silver Miata GT. A shined up silver car looks luxurious (expensive), doesn't show dust/dirt so easily, and hides rock chips and scratches better. Silver FTW ^_^
I had a silver Miata and I sold it because no matter how hard I washed and waxed it the car would never take a nice deep shine I could neglect it for up to a month and it wouldn’t look any worse for wear,with black you get an immediate satisfaction for your work and it looks great but you have to wash it weekly then hope it doesn’t rain
Forest green is another color that’s really hard to take care of it’s a dirt magnet I would know my Cadillac is always having to be clean every week but still a nice color

I bought a used A4, all black and went with a chrome delete. Eventually I’ll have to do a color correction for the swirls and such. But it looks mean as all hell

Black cars can be the most beautiful on the road. I would clay bar and polish with Zaino Bros and that car looked like liquid, so f'ing good! Problem was that keeping it that way was near impossible. One splash or pothole,even the tiniest light sprinkle, and it didn't look bad it looked like SHITE. THAT was the 2nd. Black cars make me sad.... so much potential, but ultimately unobtainable

Whats funny is that any other color is just as dusty and dirty its just not as visible as it is on black paint. So if you rather fool yourself and be filthy and be happy as long as you cant see it at first glance than youre probably the type to not shower on a daily basis because well "you just showered yesterday" excuse. 🤮🤢
I just totaled my black E350, this was a few days after I spent the afternoon detailing my car with the Turtle Jet Black box. The entire job took me about 2 hours, but it looked amazing, so much that the appraiser gave a mint condition value. (No I’m not getting paid by anyone) if you have a black car, I would def recommend that product! Ps: if you have a black car, get ceramic windows tint and it will make it bearable to get in, even in the FL summer.

I'll be sure to get a ceramic coating for the next black car I buy. I live in Mississippi where the summer heat can be unbearable, but the 15% window tinting and reflective sunshade helps tremendously.

I researched on paint protections like PPF, coatings etc and finally decided on ceramic coating. I sent my brand new car to a professional detailer to have ceramic coating applied and the maintenance has never been so easy.

Made the mistake already with a 2006 IS250 in black, also fun fact I cleaned the car, clayed it, and then polished it. While applying wax with a brand new clean towel I was making scratches..

I have a 2012 Lexus ISF V-8, everything you mentioned about black paint is true, my apartment back on Oahu had feral cats which scratch my left fender, even with the most expensive rubbing compound it's still noticeable. Before I washed my car every other day, Because Guam where I am residing now has unpredictable weather 1 moment its sunny and nice, next moment there's a rain shower. Black attracts dust and gets water spots easily. It's Guam and it rains here more than the sun shines. So detailing is now once a week. I'm on the planning process on getting a new paint color. I'll be going with Pearl white mixed with metallic silver flakes. I'm so done with Black, Wrapping will be around $4K plus here, which would be the same amount as getting the car repainted.

My old 97 Taurus SHO was black. It was an absolute nightmare. I cleaned it pretty much EVERY WEEKEND. Such a chore. But when it was clean, it was gorgeous. The paint was not that good. Looked good when clean but swirl marks and coming home and cleaning your car when you come back from a show when you cleaned it just before going

My question has nothing to do with the video but I didn’t know where else to go. My wife and I are trying to get a car, we have terrible credit and only $1,500 for either a down payment or to buy cash. The problem is that no bank will accept our applications without more than triple our current down payment and all cars in my area that are around $1,500 are terrible vehicles. What do I do?????
I own a black Jaguar. Once a year I use a rubbing compound (3M Finess-it) for swirls and a high-quality clear wax (not one that leaves white chunks in all the panel edges and covers the car in white dust). it lasts till the following year. I park in my garage and put less than 5K kilometres per year. Cleaning is a breeze, 5 mins due to the wax. A quick damp sponge and a microfiber cloth. The wheels take longer to get the brake dust out. So I got first place in the "driven" category at our local Jaguar car show. Oh, and I have black leather seats but never had a problem burning my ass on sunny days. Maybe the reflective glass keeps things cool inside, plus open sunroof slightly. While I agree it is probably the worse colour to keep clean, it is not that onerous to have something that when I pull up for gas ar park outside the grocery store I get lots of compliments from women, and I don't think it is just from the bulging wallet in my pocket!
I own a 2017 all black Jaguar F-Type. I love this car!! Its comfortable, quick,and turns heads to infinity!!! BUT!!! Hell yeah shes a beast to keep her clean!!! Still love it!!
Uv protectant full body clear wrap with a ceramic coat over it and literally all the noted problems are gone. It's expensive but it's worth it for such a stunningly beautiful car.
I have a black 06 Scion xB and I drive about 200+ miles/week and I have to wash it every weekend. Chips everywhere in the front even though repainted 3 years ago and touch up paint is not ideal. Thinking of carbon fiber wrapping the front to cover up and protect my car from chips.
Black is brilliant on a Benz or a Bentley. Deep, reflective and elegant. However, after 1-1/2 hours detailing my wife’s black VW.... all it takes is going to the corner store ... before it is dulled, dusty or waterspoted, again. So, what’s the point. My BMW (7-serried) was a bespoke M5 Green. When clean and in the mornings, it looked purple. Dirty it looked one colour, clean it looked another. Even changing between day and nighttime. Now I hat was a colour! Would I ever buy another black vehicle? Never. Thanks for the video.

I love love love my little BLACK Honda Civic 2-door. I call it my “Little Duce Coupe”. It run run runs. It’s awesome!!! You’re spot on right about black paint oxidation causing white clouds ☁️ ☁️☁️. Mine’s a 2012. Honda (at their expense, not mine) has totally repainted my car’s hood, roof, trunk deck, and tops of both rear quarter panels from the doors to the tail lights. Looks today as good as day one from the dealership.

I’m not gonna lie, even tho black is the worst colour, I would murder out a Rolls Royce because what can I say? It looks aggressive and stealthy , not to mention it’s a Rolls Royce. And with that Chrome, you’re standing out. I personally recommend getting sleeper cars in black, that’s just me 🤷🏽♂️💁🏽♂️
I've had many black cars: '95 Mustang Cobra vert, '90 Mustang GT vert, '95 Bronco, and a '01 Corvette vert. They are HOT in summer and impossible to keep clean. Have fun washing and hand drying your car every 2 days (it isn't fun and is bad for the paint). When a gloss black car is perfectly clean, they look the best. But unless you keep your car in a museum and only drive it in perfect weather, you are in for a lot of aggravation. My current Bronco is white and I don't even know the last time I washed it. It looks perfect all the time! Black interiors also suck: they are hot (especially a convertible) and show every piece of hair or lint or dust. Again, black is always dirty looking.

My old 97 Taurus SHO was black. It was an absolute nightmare. I cleaned it pretty much EVERY WEEKEND. Such a chore. But when it was clean, it was gorgeous. The paint was not that good. Looked good when clean but swirl marks and coming home and cleaning your car when you come back from a show when you cleaned it just before going

I feel you....my black brz got a lot of scratch, not just from dust or rock but from my neighbor kids, but they just a kid so im not mad, just telling the kid dont do that again, and searching for parking spot its not easy, always 30 minutes at parking lot just to look for a hide and spotless place, but i love my subaru brz when it clean, it makes my karma bodykit absolutely outstanding, and when i make a video of my brz drifting when it clean its so freaking awsome, its not a fast car, its not a car with a V8 ,V6,V12,or turbo , it just a fun drifting car that i pay with my hard work everyday and i am falling in love with it....

My question has nothing to do with the video but I didn’t know where else to go. My wife and I are trying to get a car, we have terrible credit and only $1,500 for either a down payment or to buy cash. The problem is that no bank will accept our applications without more than triple our current down payment and all cars in my area that are around $1,500 are terrible vehicles. What do I do?????
I had a Black MK2 Golf GTI years ago and it looked stunning for 1 hour every week...first, only and last black car I owned.
I own a black Jaguar. Once a year I use a rubbing compound (3M Finess-it) for swirls and a high-quality clear wax (not one that leaves white chunks in all the panel edges and covers the car in white dust). it lasts till the following year. I park in my garage and put less than 5K kilometres per year. Cleaning is a breeze, 5 mins due to the wax. A quick damp sponge and a microfiber cloth. The wheels take longer to get the brake dust out. So I got first place in the "driven" category at our local Jaguar car show. Oh, and I have black leather seats but never had a problem burning my ass on sunny days. Maybe the reflective glass keeps things cool inside, plus open sunroof slightly. While I agree it is probably the worse colour to keep clean, it is not that onerous to have something that when I pull up for gas ar park outside the grocery store I get lots of compliments from women, and I don't think it is just from the bulging wallet in my pocket!
I had a black 370Z and it was a nightmare to keep clean!, it got pelted really bad during a major sandstorm and I eventually got rid of it
I own a 2017 all black Jaguar F-Type. I love this car!! Its comfortable, quick,and turns heads to infinity!!! BUT!!! Hell yeah shes a beast to keep her clean!!! Still love it!!
Uv protectant full body clear wrap with a ceramic coat over it and literally all the noted problems are gone. It's expensive but it's worth it for such a stunningly beautiful car.

I have a black 06 Scion xB and I drive about 200+ miles/week and I have to wash it every weekend. Chips everywhere in the front even though repainted 3 years ago and touch up paint is not ideal. Thinking of carbon fiber wrapping the front to cover up and protect my car from chips.

Black is brilliant on a Benz or a Bentley. Deep, reflective and elegant. However, after 1-1/2 hours detailing my wife’s black VW.... all it takes is going to the corner store ... before it is dulled, dusty or waterspoted, again. So, what’s the point. My BMW (7-serried) was a bespoke M5 Green. When clean and in the mornings, it looked purple. Dirty it looked one colour, clean it looked another. Even changing between day and nighttime. Now I hat was a colour! Would I ever buy another black vehicle? Never. Thanks for the video.

You’re spot on right about black paint oxidation causing white clouds ☁️ ☁️☁️. Mine’s a 2012. Honda (at their expense, not mine) has totally repainted my car’s hood, roof, trunk deck, and tops of both rear quarter panels from the doors to the tail lights. Looks today as good as day one from the dealership.

I'd want to get a black Hellcat Challenger for dates only. So it'd be in a garage while I keep on making sure to keep it clean. Then I'd take it out on dates to make the missus turned on and happy with how fast we could go.
I’m not gonna lie, even tho black is the worst colour, I would murder out a Rolls Royce because what can I say? It looks aggressive and stealthy , not to mention it’s a Rolls Royce. And with that Chrome, you’re standing out.

I've had many black cars: '95 Mustang Cobra vert, '90 Mustang GT vert, '95 Bronco, and a '01 Corvette vert. They are HOT in summer and impossible to keep clean. Have fun washing and hand drying your car every 2 days (it isn't fun and is bad for the paint). When a gloss black car is perfectly clean, they look the best. But unless you keep your car in a museum and only drive it in perfect weather, you are in for a lot of aggravation. My current Bronco is white and I don't even know the last time I washed it. It looks perfect all the time! Black interiors also suck: they are hot (especially a convertible) and show every piece of hair or lint or dust. Again, black is always dirty looking.

well i own black audi and i love it .. its actually not as bad as you describe it to be .. its mostly normal as any other colour and yes i am a car enthusiast but due to work i barely get time to wash my car .. and yeah i do notice few stone chips but they are barely visible from a distance .. canning it up is ... we love black cars .. and i will not be interesed in buying a car other than black .. or atleast dark grey ... or rather go for white .. which i have owned in past and it is much worse to take care of. love your vids mate ,,, dont want to be rude or something .. really glad you chose an audi r8 as your first supercar . as it is my dream car too ....
