- Wild camping in Glen Feshie in the Cairngorms National Park together with Robert from @murchiesmountains2820 . We decided to go on a low level wild camp due to the weather forecast of strong winds and rain....
Probably my favourite glen as well. It was like something from the states, felt like another country.
Yeah it feels definitely differently to the typical scottish Glen! Cheers Stripey
Blimey stripey! Another one so soon after the GR54!
You are a machine bud!
Everything but that 😅
Stripey Hat 🎉 Guy, great video! Bet you missed the midges 😂
Cheers - sure I did 😂😂😂
Good stuff Stripey, looked brutal with midge but you can't beat the Cairngorms for a camp ..cheers Stevie
Thank you Stevie! Aye the Cairngorms are great...should really spend more time there but usually I am more at the west coast
That's bringing back midgie PTSD. Once I walked across Rannoch moor and I was walking from Corrour to Kinlochleven via Blackwater Reservoir and the midgies were that bad and I didn't even have a tent to shelter in. In my ears, mouth, eyes, nose it was absolute hell! Hey, it builds character! 🤣
Oh man that sounds absolutely horrible! Glad that you put it into the character building drawer 😂👍
Ey up Stripey. Great to see you back out in Scotland and with Murchie again. Glen Feshie is so beautiful. It must have looked amazing when all the heather was fully in bloom. Those midgies looked horrendous, thank the lord we don’t get them anywhere near as bad down here.
All the best mate 😀🥾⛰🏕️🏴🏴🇩🇪
Thanks a lot mate! Yeah you can't have everything 😂😂😂
HaHaHa ...
More Midge than Sheep ... and there are more Sheep than People.
😂😂😂
I enjoyed seeing how you used your Featherlight 700 cooking set with the midges. I can barely wait for my set to arrive!
@@ayclarke1880 of course I do 😊. Yeah I can understand you, we just posted an update on Kickstarter, shouldn’t take too much longer 🤞👍
That was nasty mate, midge attack is not for the faint hearted
Cheers Craig! Yeah was rather a tent time 😂 Thankfully we won’t have it on our winter trip 🫵😎
The scenery was incredible as you said , the river had almost a " Yukon " look on many of its part . I know somedy who will alway's leave a head net in its bag from now on 😅 , to be able to see the midges on camera it had to be a swarm 😮 . Thanks for the video . I have some catching up to do on your serie in the Alps ...
@@bonpecheur4565 cheers mate! Yeah the Alps was a fantastic trip but filming was not the priority at all, rather in finishing it 😅. Yeah Glen Feshie feels not like the typical Scottish Glen to me either, wouldn’t say Yukon so 😂😂😂. Was a long time a go for a week in the Yukon (long before I started filming) and it was just a complete disaster regarding the insects 😂
Good to see the return of the stripey hat..... missing on the GR 54🙂
🙌😂
Brilliant Stipey 😍👍..Excellent tour apart from those pesky midges🤣..Grest spot though..Back in the winter mate eh?..No midges 🤣
Cheers
Robert
Cheers Robert! Aye that's the plan 😎👍
@@StripeyHatGuy 😁👍
It looks cold. Midges must be hardy little guys.
Yeah was rather fresh. Not sure what the real temperature was but the forecast said 12 degree Celsius during the day and 6 during the night…I don’t think that it was this cold, otherwise the midges wouldn’t be out in this numbers imho
Guessed you have your pasta bolognaise for supper hope the midges never got none great video to see the scenery 😀 thanks for sharing 👍
Oh of course I did, can't beat the food old pasta bolognaise ☺️
That looked Murder there Stripey.
I reckon Feshie is my favourite Glen too.
@@dougieranger definitely mate! Aye is just such a nice place with all the trees and a rather big river….just a beautiful glen 😎
@@StripeyHatGuy It can be wild though but that’s part of the fun.
Great stuff as usual Stripey lad!
Thank you very much Garry!
Can I please ask what shelter your using and your height as it looks a great space. Thank you.
Hi mate, I am 1.86m and the shelter I am using is the bonfus duos 2P. It is quite a palace for one person 😊
Thanls for the reply. It's aestheticly it looks amazing.
@addp5222 I love it but as so often everyone has different needs/ preferences 👍
back to Scotland. hope you enjoyed the Alps trip, it looked magnificent!.
Thanks a lot! Yeah was absolutely great but also glad to be back in Scotland 😎
