Although this video is a few years old it really helped me! As a noob and brand new to 3D printing with my new CR-6SE it took me a few rolls of filament and lots of frustration to realizes my Esteps were way off from the factory. You cant calibrate the CR-6SE from the screen, you have to have Octoprint to calibrate it! Thank you so much for the video, my prints are a thousand times better and printing at twice the speed!

Hey Chris, Great tutorial. Being a long time user of OctoPrint too, I was impressed (though not surprised) that you included solutions to the most common problems that new-comers often face, Power supply, Partionions and Bonjour. Your advice on Settings, Plugins and Updating will also save headaches too I'm sure. Personally I have the new Usage Tracker Enabled as it helps Gina to to see how her creation is performing, it also helps with issue tracking. In case anyone is wondering if it is safe to allow it, I have no concerns with OctoPrint at all.
    Great work mate.

As you mentioned in video a decent power supply is crucial to run the rpi without throttling which can do strange things to your octoprint instance. Thanks to the anonymous data (please enable it) Gina found lot of rpi being under voltage and may cause issues. The anonymous data collection also allows her to see if a build is good.

I started with a cr10 then upgraded it to cr10s, then a 110 volt heated bed, hermera hot end, 3dfused y linear rail, and will swap out the board to 32 bit pretty soon and now I guess I can't call it a cr10 anymore, I think I'll call it bigprus cause its closing in on the prusa for quality of the prints and its bigger. yeh

Great video. I’d like to add a quick tip here for you. If you add two plain text files to the boot directory of the SD Card, one named octopi-hostname.txt and add the network name of that octopi instance, the other is octopi-password.txt and add a password to it. When you then boot your RPi it will change the ssh password to the one in the octopi-password file and similarly it will change the network name. Great if you have many octopi instances on your network.

Thee Great Chris Riley has done another wonderful and clear video on a subject some of us find a bit confusing. NoteBook++ is a staple for me! Do you have a link to a good high current power supply for the Pi? Technically someone could use your provided timestamps and do it in 'virtual' 5 minutes, but I would think if you start from scratch, it would take around 30 mins to install and set it up; video is awesome to keep us from having to watch a download, etc. I really liked the inclusion of Disk Manager. Keep up the great work!

There is a bit of stringing in between them. It seams that some times there is not a lot of filament coming out. Around holes. But every where else?

@Chris Riley I found a complete example of M80 M81 Gcode macros at github.com/KevinOConnor/klipper/issues/643. McMatrix spelled it out for peeps like me lol. Pretty simple really. I did have to swap the 1 and 0 between the VALUE = since the ATX pwr supply is looking for a low to turn it on. So it looks like this:
      [output_pin psupower]
      pin: ar12
      # power on
      [gcode_macro M80]
      gcode: SET_PIN PIN=psupower VALUE=0
      # power off
      [gcode_macro M81]
      gcode: SET_PIN PIN=psupower VALUE=1
I added the above code to my printer.cfg file and then set up the PSU Control plugin for octoprint with M80 and M81 and it works. Hopefully you haven't already spent to much time looking into this. Thanks so much for offering to clear this up for me and thanks again for all the great videos.
