I got a bit stuck here's what: Let's address some stuff: I rip plain blank models without texture & meterials from a game, so I gather textures from game (the proper right ones) I got a bit stuck here's what: I use Principled BSFD meterial on all the objects I have a soldier who i use a different texture for the soldier without helmet and armour and I use the camouflage texture for his helmet and armour etc. The main problem is when I want to rig it with the cat's plugin I have an error, SO i used mixamo for to rig my model object, if I do mixamo rigging I completely loose my textures and have to retexture the whole object. But If I rig the character with mixamo go back to blender to retexture, after I retexture the whole project if I join the objects together, after the joinning I loose the textures again for no reason. PLEASE Help!!! I'm in pain, trying this for days.
sadly most of fortnite animations are missing :/ there are tons of fortnite animations but in the pack we have only 54, any link for most of animations ? thanks
@@shintendoYT if i send you link of all animations, can you convert them to unity animations ? Original files are psa or psk files, you can extract them with umodel (free software), aes key can be found on the web
@@TREXYT I don't know how to do that, but if you really wanted to use them you could probably do the Unity steps in Unreal Engine instead which apparently supports psa files. I'm not sure about the CATS plugin question either, CATS is for pretty specific uses and I found it's useful for very simple Unity imports like this one.
mine keeps saying it can't find parts (hips, legs, head, feet, basically everything) and i have ZERO modeling experience so i'm giving up lolll tutorial was easy to follow tho! i probably just found a bad model sinc the character is pretty obscure there were only a couple i found
10 minutes my as. makes me have to sign up for an account just to use unity and had to get help from discord cause the plugin doesn't work. stop wasting people's time.
Dunno if I'm just using the wrong Unity or something or if they really changed their UI, but I don't have that Rig option at 6:16 so now I'm just stuck :/ Edit: Needed to click on my model in the Asset window at the bottom and not select it in the preview window.
The animation isn't letting me play it Edit: Never mind, I actually never watched the whole video, but I fixed the problem myself by deleting all the yellow things

In case you guys are a beginner like me: If you don't see your 3D Character model in Unity--Make sure you drag and drop the fbx Character from the Assets Section up to the Hierarchy Section. I don't know how I missed that, and was a little sleepy while trying this out and I thought I'd see the character as soon as dropping them into assets, unlike the vid I just had an extra step (not sure if it's because I have an older version). Just sharing in case you are a goof ball like me. Anyways good Luck Everyone! (ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ ♥
