that whole gig was something else...one of the biggest gambles taken and it turned out to be a giant win. The fancam video on youtube is something I come back many times. Seeing them getting more confident (also the band) with each song.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 This song was performed in your country, Australia, on June 8, 9 and 11, I mean THIS MONTH !! And the wall of death, mosh pits, circle pits and chants occurred likewise at Fortitude Music Hall (Brisbane), Hordern Pavilion (Sydney) and Margaret Court Arena (Malborne).
In your video, Su shouted some words at 10:08 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She shouted it rarely since then or she does it smilingly with her friendly voice now. The girls have grown up into beautiful ladies. The maturity has added more attractiveness to this band. Please react to videos including recent ones to explore BM more.

3:32 _Now Pizza Time (Pizza Time!)_ 🦊🤘🍕
Welcome back to the Foxhole, it's been a while.
Nice to see you're back with this suggestion. Now with another hit they don't wanna leave behind in almost any of their setlist, like recently at Sabaton's Europe Tour and later at Asian and Australian Tour.
_Road Of Resistance_ is a fantastic power/speed metal song, is one of their most epic anthem and the album version got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce, that's why some got "Through The Fire and Flames" vibes, and is all about facing your own path without looking back.
The wall of death is nuts just like you noticed, is also called "mosh'sh pit", different from usual mosh pit because this one is safe to participate if you fall everyone will stop until you get up and get ready to keep going with the fun ride.
This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015 series of concerts, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena, is the last song of the encore they performed and finishing the show. By this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment.
With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages.
The Kami Band here are magnificent set of elite musicians who were send to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarists), all of them are males.
BM fans love some members of this band but none of them are official members of this group not even permanent, they only play live, so when you heard album tracks remember they aren't playing there.
    In this case they are:
    - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording certain songs.
    - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly past away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar or golden in other moments.
    - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but her fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP.
    - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, he comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father is very famous in Japanese music scene.
At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to making them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed to X-Japan saying it at live concerts too.
If you like this type of metal genre then you're gonna love another previous song from first album called:
    - *"Ijime Dame Zettai"* live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 and witness a precious and epic moment on their career. You can find that clip in the official channel but just be careful coz sometimes is getting blocked issues.
Thanks for sharing this and as always don't forget to put your kitsune up!🦊🤘🔥

In an interview for launching Babymetal's second album, Su said "We have a band, we are a band now!"
That is how Japan do things, initiated as a dual or trio or whatever and paid for session musicians when they were small. Once they grew big, can afford musicians as constant members, they were considered as a band.

      @deddrz2549 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Yah, with idol cutlure in Japan, idol singers are ussually only expected to sing and dance while the instrumental secondary. Though especially with metal I think having a band is quite necessary, so very good choice that they got one as soon as they could

These were the main musicians, referred to as the Kami band (Kami means God, Gods, Goddess, Goddesses, Deities, etc):
These original musicans in this video are:
    Hideki Aoyama - drums
    Mikio Fujioka - guitar ( RIP )
    Takayoshi Ohmura - guitar
    BOH - bass
Today the Kami band has been the same since 2019, formerly known as the West Kami band.
The Kami band today consists of:
    Anthony Barone - drums
    CJ Masciantonio - guitar
    Chris Kelly - guitar
    Clint Tustin.- bass

actually babymetal is just about those 3 girls because babymetal is not a band, babymetal idol group pretty much like kpop girlband but singing in metal music.. the musicians in the band (kami band) are among the most reputable musicians in japan, they are incridebly talented.. but however they are just session musicians for babymetal and not part of babymetal, they are hired for recording and for live shows.. there are 2 lines up for the band since 2019, the japanese member like in this video and the overseas member... only the fox god knows which line up gonna show up on the live show😅

Great reaction ,thing to remember you could hear Su a tiny 5.2 Japanese teenage over a full metal band and even though this was the end of a 4 song encore and they being going full belt with there courography for around an hour and forty minutes. Su , Yui, and Moa were going at this pace during the show and in this song dancing as fast as the Kamis were playing their instruments and still managing to sing in tune and continue smiling as well . There is a little bit missed at the end they go over the 2 bridges either ( running) side to the fans to shout "we are," even though they must have been exhausted . Showing thanks to their fans as always .

Hey sevsimo! Good reaction! That's Takayoshi Ohmura with his signature Pink-chan guitar, Leda Cygnus on the black guitar, BOH on the 6 string bass, and Hideki Aoyama on drums. They are some of the best rock/metal musicians in Japan, and I would argue the world. The band that backs BABYMETAL is called the Kami Band when on stage. Kami in Japanese means "god" or "divine spirit" and they're supposed to represent the spiritual embodiment of their respective instruments, but "kami" also means hair, so whether they're the "God Band" or the "Hair Band" I'll leave up to you!
What's fun about Road of Resistance is that Sam Totman and Herman Li of DragonForce did the guitar arrangement for the song, and even played them for the studio recording. They said they wrote the music to be more difficult than they normally would have because they knew they wouldn't be the ones to have to play it live, which would come back to bite them in the ass later when they did actually perform the song live with BABYMETAL on stage at Download 2015 in the UK!

    Great reaction, thanks!
Yep, they totally know how to put on a great show. In the end of the day, they consider their live performances their "core business" and consider thir studio albums as some sort of "business cards". And yes, the Kami Band members are some of the best session musicians money can pay. All of them have their own projects aside BABYMETAL so they had to add a second set of the Kami Band, formed with American musicians and I have to say that they are exceptionally good as well.
Don't worry and don't overthink it so much, no one saw this coming, and I think that only Kobametal (their producer and the guy who came out with this "crazy" idea) believed in this project. They didn't have even live musicians at first but they succeeded anyway, but moment they went on tour overseas, Koba knew they needed a live band. So, the Kami Band was introduced progressively since October 2012 until it became permanent and for good since March 2014.
From my old-school metalhead perspective this was absolutely necessary and despite the musicians don't usually have as much camera time as they deserve, we, the fans, know they are absolutely vital. Even Su-metal during one of their latest concerts earlier this month (in Australia, precisely) went to the back of the stage and included with a gesture the band members into their "We are? BABYMETAL" classic outro. That gesture shows that she also knows.

Great reaction, good job you had the coffee to help you keep up with them. This video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su was 17, Yui and Moa only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death (actually several walls of death at that concert as the crowd were in sections. A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits).
This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world.
About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance', as you thought, is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way.
It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow.
Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. They have said they made this more technical and faster than most of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live ... and that they had to practice hard when they did perform it with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London later in 2015.
This was the Kami Band playing live of course and you are absolutely right, each one of them is a world class musician, I'm glad you take notice of them (so do the BABYMETAL fans, don't worry about that). In this concert the Kami band were Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars (Takayoshi has the glitter pink guitar) with BOH on his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.

Suzuka Nakamoto (lead vocalist) was only 17 years of age here, backup singers Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno were 15 and they were commanding that crowd like a boss
The awesome Kami Band doing their awesome instrumentals (the band has stated multiple times how much they admire and respect the talent, work ethic, discipline and humble character of the girls and that they appreciate getting to tour with a first class production gladly going full on every show because the girls deserve nothing less).
It is little wonder the audiences (and me) are in awe of these young ladies and their Kami’s.

By the way, the opening thing where she raised her arms and parted the crowd is called "Opening the Pit" to create a "Wall of Death" that turns into a running "Circle Pit" that usually runs the whole song. Pit etiquette is raised for all this so you are not allowed to hurt anyone or the pit will turn on you. All in all, just good wholesome fun if you have the energy for it.

The producer who came up with the concept was a huge metalhead and it shows, sure some people get turned away because "ewww girls" but there is no denying that the music that serves as the foundation of Babymetal's songs isn't just trite filler. They can and do stray from traditional metal in some songs but for the more traditional metal songs they go hard.

Road of Resistance: Live In Japan 🇯🇵 @"Saitama Super Arena (SSA):-
"Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. The song was released worldwide as a digital single on February 1, 2015 by Toy's Factory, serving as the lead single off the international re-release of the album Babymetal, as well the opening track from Metal Resistance.
Su-Metal was 10 when she performed with Karen Girls at the SSA (SAITAMA SUPER ARENA). The Arena that night holds about 20000 Babymetal fans but when you see the centrepiece Island and the two curve bridge, it can hold up to 30000 or even up to 40000 depends on the configuration of Babymetal concert for each tour they performed. This song is co-written by Dragonforce with Herman Li and Sam Totman plays the guitar 🎸 solos, but Kami Band live show is brutal and tight. This is a classic Power Metal genre or speed metal as some might refer to. Bands like Dragonforce, Helloween and even Sabaton do power metal genre. Arkadia from Metal Galaxy Album is the successor to Road Of Resistance. At 17 Su-Metal alongside Yuimetal and Moametal who is 15 at that time, gave a perfect 👌 performance on how live show should be. This performance alone cemented my love ❤️ and appreciation for Babymetal. Kitsune Up 🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘😍💕🌸🇯🇵🇸🇬#notacult. .
    Babymetal singles chronology:-
    •"Megitsune" (2013).
    •"Road of Resistance" (2015).
    •"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015).
    Background and release:-
"Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman.
The song would be used to mark the beginning of the band's lore, Metal Resistance Episode III, at the concert held on November 8, 2014 at O2 Brixton Academy in London, which was also the final tour date for the band's Babymetal World Tour 2014.
A trailer for the song was released on January 5, 2015, integrating footage from the debut performance of the song in London. The song was first released as a digital bonus track off the live album Live at Budokan: Red Night, with limited editions of the album containing a download card with a code to download the song at no additional charge. The song was later released as a dedicated digital single on the iTunes Store on February 1, 2015.
Li and Totman are featured on guitars, although they are listed as featured artists in various regions of the re-release of the album Babymetal, on which the song appears as a bonus track, mainly in the United Kingdom.
    Composition:-
Rolling Stone described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies". Rock Sound called the song "everything we’d expect from [Babymetal] with a bit of Dragonforce’s exhilarating, flame-fingered guitar added in for good measure." Matt Evans of The List called the song an "empowering hyperspeed anthem". According to Kadokawa, the song consists of twin shred guitars courtesy of Li and Totman, with a dynamic sound derived of melodic speed metal. The lyrics are described as a narrative on the Metal Resistance, which the band adopted on their world tour. It has also been considered the "final stage" of Babymetal and the prologue to Metal Resistance, and a transition performance that demonstrates the band's growth from the previous album.
According to Su-metal, the song refers to the Metal Resistance lore, described as "the story of Babymetal traveling across the world in the hopes of creating a new metal to unify the world as we break through the barriers of language and borders. In the middle of the song there is a part where we go, ‘Wow, Wow’ and this is where our fans from around the world can sing with us at our concerts. I hope people will listen to our album and support us at our shows." Yuimetal stated in an interview with Metal Hammer that "Road of Resistance" is her favorite song from Metal Resistance, explaining that it "has been performed at so many concerts, so a lot of memories are jam-packed. The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful."
•Recorded by Watametal and Adrian Breakspear.
    •Mixed by Ettore Rigotti
    Personnel:-
    •Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal) - Main vocals.
•Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) - Backing vocals.

    Saitama Super Arena:-
"Saitama Super Arena (さいたまスーパーアリーナ, Saitama Sūpā Arīna) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It opened preliminarily on May 5, 2000, and then officially opened on September 1 of the same year. Its spectator capacity is 36,500 at maximum settings,[3] making it the second-largest indoor arena in the world. The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500".
    •Owner: Saitama Arena Corp.
    •Capacity: 36,500 (stadium setting) 18,000 (arena setting).
The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei. Meis's design was selected as a result of an international design competition. The arena features a gigantic movable section of seating which can reduce capacity for smaller events and create a more intimate setting.
It is a favorite venue for puroresu (Japanese professional wrestling) and mixed martial arts (MMA). It has also hosted other sports events such as boxing, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, and gymnastics. It is the only Japanese arena equipped especially for American football.
It formerly housed the John Lennon Museum, which displayed John Lennon memorabilia and closed in 2010.

Nice reaction. They always remind me of a line from a Van Halen song. "Sang so good that the roof fell in. Now everybody wanna go." Top Jimi by Van Halan. A true statement about Babymetal too. When I saw this the first time, I wanted to go see them. Such great entertainers. The Kamiband was on fire for this show too. Powerful positive lyrics and the music just going full steam ahead. The group is Babymetal that's the 3 ladies. The stage band that plays the music for them is the kamiband. Top notch musicians in any part of the world. And some unknown parts as well. lol. Babymetal learned their music history well. And now we get to enjoy the fruits of those labors. Babymetal just out there combining all sorts of metal styles with just about anything and getting to work. that's the key part of it. That's the big part the 3 ladies play. Selling it to us. If they didn't believe it. Neither would we. But look at the conviction they perform with. It's not an act for them. They are metal. Su-metal, Yuimetal, Moametal and now Momometal. They went down a road unpaved and bulldozed it. Their stage presence is outstanding. Koba their producer says they really become a force to be reconned with on stage and it even scares him a bit, how imposing a figure they are on stage. Off stage these ladies are so humble and polite it's amazing. And Kawaii of course. To think they use to go sing karaoke after school together. Imagine when these three walked in a place and started singing. They would go with friends from Sakura Gakuin the jpop group they started out in. I often wondered if the owners had any idea who they were or what they would soon become. Could you imagine going to a karaoke bar and Metallica is in there singing away with Rob Halford. Not as big as those cats but someday they could be. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.
