- This Video shows you what is necessary in order to hang wallpaper over wallpaper; it is not a good idea to try to hang any wallpaper over just any other wallpaper… No, not a good idea. But, when you want to hang paper wallpaper over another paper wallpaper, or vinyl wallpaper over another vinyl wallpaper, then you’re in business!

What does the Windex do-other than clean-after the finished job? Could you just use water in a spray bottle? Im new to this.
Hi Spencer, I been watching alot of your videos and they are very helpful. I wanted to ask your advice. I am applying textured white wallpaper over previously installed wallpaper that has no texture. I should first use an oil based primer, then I should use Roman 555 extreme tack? And should I apply the wallpaper paste just onto the wall or both on to the wall as well as the wallpaper itself. I appreciate your response!
Don’t use extreme tack. You can go right over paper wallpaper with clear paste. If it’s vinyl, use V o V, vinyl over vinyl which is less expensive than roman extreme tack. It will make the bond. You’ll find it on Amazon. God luck.

If I use Zinsser BIN primer over my non vinyl wallpaper do I still need to use Gardz before putting up new wallpaper?.
Yes. They do 2 separate things.

If I were to redo it, I would use a water-based acrylic, clear… GARDZ

Why not strip the paper
Excellent question… This work was in a department store in Orlando Florida. The customer was interested in paying only for labour to hang over there existing wall covering which was recently installed, but the owner did not like the final fact… I had nothing to do with it… They hired me after they installed the firstwall covering and they said we just want you to hang this over the other Wallpaper and I said that can be done, but ideally, you would remove it

Yes. Its a family business. My father started over 30 years ago. I'm am 2nd generation. We try to make everyone happy. But you know how that goes. It is a nice niche to be in. Not complaining 😏
