    I've had mine for a few years and love it for ultralight backpacking and bikepacking trips. I've used it down to about -8 C with a canister that was warmed in my sleeping bag, but that's probably its limit. If you're going to be camping at lower temperatures than that or will need to melt snow, a liquid fuel stove is a must.

    Looks great but I still rely on my dragonfly for my round the world bike tour.

    You guys should bring back and continue the pocket rocket 1. It was much more solid and nicer materials were used making the stove. PLUS YOUR SALES WOULD BE OFF THE CHARTS

    Can the PocketRocket be used with propane? looking for ones that can or adaptors?

    • @MSRGear
      @MSRGear  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Paula! We don't sell any adapters to convert our stoves to propane, but it is possible and the parts are available. Below are two TH-cam videos from users who have done this successfully with two different MSR stove models. th-cam.com/video/_h8uEewOF50/w-d-xo.html + th-cam.com/video/0D-6TiCDQPs/w-d-xo.html

    Hi MSR. A quick question; the pot supports on both models of Pocketrockets (old and new) are angled upward (lowest at the centre near the burner, angled highers towards the ends). I figure because both models are like this, it's on purpose. May I ask why? Why are they not flat? Thanks!

    • @MSRGear
      @MSRGear  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hey Clive,
      The supports are angled upward so that that the contact points to the pot are as far out from the center as possible allowing the pot to be more stable on the stove.

      @@MSRGear more stable pot on the stove like this? I think, that if the supports were flat, it would be more stable, because pot would not be hold by three little dots..

    So it's now a MicroRocket rebranded as the PocketRocket 2? I have both stoves currently and this looks like the MicroRocket.

      I also have the micro Rocket and thought the same thing. Have a feeling the name MR wasn't pulling enough interest so they decided to tap into the loyal PR following.

      I bought my MicroRocket to fit into my GSI Halulite Minimalist since it's one of few tiny stoves out there. I haven't checked to see if the PocketRocket 2 fits, but I'd guess it does based on the look.

      Hey Terry,
      The main difference is in the pot supports. The supports now allow smaller diameter pots to fit on top of the stove.

    I've had mine for just a year, used it for 3-4 times. Its now falling apart with one of the 2 fixing screws "gone walkabout" and the other continuously needing tightening

    .. dare to say, that this is an excellent piece of engineering - very nice!! but - why don´t you add even a little bit of extra (2 - 3 mm) to the inside of the pot stands? this would not add weight, be in the way or anything else, but made it much more convenient to use smaller pots. for me it looks like a wasted chance to improve it even further.
