I'm sick of the huge, 10K watt bright stadium lights that are appearing literally everywhere. They are bare, blinding, bright white with no covers pointing them towards the businesses, instead, they're bare light bulbs, just blazing away your retinas. Car manufacturers are out of control with the high beams they have put on their vehicles, that are running as regular lights, they are blinding. And the birds are chirping at 3AM here because they think it's noon, it's so bright. I HATE IT. I used to see fireflies in my backyard, since the buildings around us are using the same 10K watt bare light bulbs on their crappy buildings, they're gone. These people have no problem blinding everyone, and the thing is, you can't see into the shadows around those buildings. Because their lights are right in your face, anyone could be hiding and you'd never see them. They need to point their insane lights towards their own buildings and put covers on them.

And your English vocabulary is amazing, especially for science. Anyone saying otherwise just hasn't heard the original Latin terms used before. If you wouldn't mind a couple light suggestions that could help your growth, though: 1. The word "characteristic" sadly can't be shortened to "character" - although they're related, the meanings of these terms are too different for that to make sense. 2. As silly as it sounds, English-only speakers really need our "the" words to keep up 😅 it's kind of like French. "Cat runs" should make as much sense as "the cat runs," but we aren't used to processing that 😂 so it takes us a minute to understand a sentence starting like "Pupal stage usually lasts..." when we would always expect "THE pupal stage usually lasts..." Again, great content! I hope more people see it!
I have a large amount of fireflies on my property, and I am always very careful to keep blackout curtains closed at night so they don't get disrupted. Sometimes I just sit out and watch them.
