    I'm currently 15 years old right now and the RMC is where I dream to end up to study. For the past 3 years I've been determined to be a pilot. To be one for the CAF is my ultimate dream and I can't wait to achieve it. I'm dedicated

      Remember that school marks aren't everything. When I got into RMC, my average was 63%, however I served for 6 years in Air Cadets, became a power pilot, and was socially active. So bad marks are not be-all end-all, recruiting officers are looking for a well-rounded individual.

    Currently I’m 17 and have applied for the ROTP program through the military, was deemed medically unfit however I just sent in an appeal. Hopefully this is successful as becoming a fighter pilot in the RCAF has been my dream for more than 10 years. Been training hard for the past 2 years can’t wait until the graduating parade for the wings.

      This shouldn’t immediately disqualify you from applying, as this would be at the discretion of the Medical Officer. You can contact your local recruiting centre and ask to speak with medical staff for further guidance. You can find their contact information here: forces.ca/en/find-a-recruiting-centre/.

      Your application for a paid education program is also an application to become a member of the CAF for the length of your training and specific period of service afterwards. All applicants are required to meet both the general qualifications for the CAF, as well as the academic requirements for your field of study or technical program.
      To qualify for admission to the CAF and a paid education plan, you must:
      Be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident
      -Meet the minimum medical standard required for CAF enrolment
      -Pass pre-enrolment tests including the Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT), an assessment of aptitudes and suitability for your choice of occupation
      -Be 16 years of age to submit an application (with parent/legal guardian consent if you are under 18)
      -Meet educational requirements of the program (different programs have different entry requirements)
      You can learn more here: forces.ca/en/paid-education/

      I am a retired dental officer and I believe the process is the same for dentists and physicians. You’ll need to get all your med school undergraduate prerequisite courses completed and get accepted into any Canadian medical school. Then apply for the medical officer training program. Make sure you have a basic knowledge of the Canadian Forces-structure, history, etc if you want to ace the interview process. They are looking for “well-rounded” applicants so being into sports and having a diverse range of interests/skills/activities is a plus.
      You’ll start as a second lieutenant and all of your tuition costs will be paid. You will be reimbursed for what you paid for your first year of tuition costs.
      Your summer breaks will be spent doing basic officer’s and on the job training (boot camp/OJT). Upon graduation you’ll be promoted and in a lot less debt than most of your classmates!
      Good luck! You won’t regret it.

      @ildart8738 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@therealmrsteve In my time, you would not get shoulder flashes until you got qualified at least until the phase 3 of your army training. Very few cadets managed to to so before their 4-th year. We respected them. Having no trade, and not at least partially qualified for your trade, screams "showing off". I was an RMC cadet who never went to the RCAC before graduating, and became a crew commander, but not a troop commander. I never whined about having an RCAC cap badge, or having an RCAC flash on my combats. So suck it up buttercups, and wait until you get regimental flashes after Ph.4.
