MyFitnessPal says 1450 calories is the amount I should eat for my stated goals of building muscle and gaining weight (I weigh about 101 or 102 pounds currently, and at first my goal was to maintain my current weight, but I figured that might not be best if I’m trying to build muscle. The calorie goal number didn’t change when I changed the goal, but anyway). Is 1450 an okay amount to eat because I weigh quite a bit less and am just smaller than a lot of other people, so I presumably use less calories to move and maintain myself? I often eat a few hundred more than it recommends anyway because I’m hungry, and occasionally I eat less than it recommends, it’s just kind of whatever happens and I mostly use the app to track exercise and water and make sure I eat a decent amount of protein, but I do wonder if their estimates are legit at all
I was surprised when I started tracking, and by the end of the day I was at 2,000 and some calories, and that was with breakfast lunch dinner and 3 snacks , and they weren't even bigggggg, so that's the minimum for our bodies. I never feel hungry now, cause I'm eating enough calories and protein is key , since I just started eating meat again (just chicken so far cause my body doesn't like red meat)I used to be hungry all the time when I started eating more, really my body was just starving/lacking protein/over exercising. I'm currently moving on to the no exersice portion of ED recovery, my body is sooooo inflamed and crying out for help, I need to open my eyes and see why, its because it's trying to heal it self.
I definitely understand that! If you ever feel you need more support, this is what we provide inside my program so you don’t have to go through this on your own💛 www.emmysyummysnutrition.com/coaching

Think about it, if 2200 is the proper amount for an adult female, do you reallly really think that 500 is enough. Eating 500 calories a day is anorexia and you need to get help as soon as possible. Your organs will fail on you in the long term if you eat only 500. Your life will be shortened. Please reach out. There is lot of phone lines you can call if your afraid fo speak to someone in real life
