Thanks for this video…I didn’t have to remove a ballast but I followed everything else and upgraded my machine to LEDs. It worked! Had to readjust a connection but I got it!
Thanks for keeping it real with or without mistakes. This was very helpful. Keep up the good videos. I'm real new to vending and your very inspiring to the business.
Thanks Mat! I'll probably convert one of my machines next week to LED. The bulbs for wittern machines are an odd size and are increasingly hard to find in stores.
Is the nayax device waterproof? Does it void warranty being outside... I'm thinking about putting a machine with Nayax but worried about water damage. Thanks
Would it be a problem to cut after the connectors rather than before. I would like to keep the connector in tact and just cut off the ballast end. To confirm, I would connect the two wires to the adapter that doesn’t go to the lamp post right?
@@GalaxyGames843 the line that the ballast connects to has a female and a male. One end on the ballast and other coming from machine to give power. You cut into the line from the machine before the connectors. Would it be an issue to cut after the male and female connector this cutting between the ballast and plugging the new adapter I will purchase as you shown. I wanted to leave the stock connecter with the machine and still have the adapter you used . Hope that makes sense.
Any reason in particular that you do not use the led tubes meant to directly replace the fluorescent tubes? All you need is to swap the fluorescent ones for direct drive led tubes and you don't even need to remove a ballast.
The reason I don't use them is convience. I can't buy them at my local hardware store. Shipping on large fluorescent / led tubes can be costly also. With this method I can literally stop at the hardware store, buy everything I need and complete the change in 10 minutes
@@Houaha Awesome, can you share the home depot website link for the viewers - Some may rather not bypass the ballast and this could be useful info for them!
Is there power running through both sets of wire to the ballast connection? I tried this modification and no power to the outlet and lights do not come on, Any ideas?

Yes! More videos like this one. (On top of the others as well) I like new ideas for my machines. Thank you for this awesome video!
You got it! Glad you enjoyed!

Agreed!
I’m upgrading USI Wittern machines myself…and yes you will not find the bulb sizes in your regular brick and mortar stores.
@@chrisseverin6370 I find them all day long at a Commercial lighting store. Or online
You can also just buy a led ballest and get led tubes that use the stock mountings and do it that way no plugs needed
Brilliant! Awesome tutorial right there!
Thanks a lot! Glad you found it useful!
Yay i am happy to see this video uploaded
I have been wanting to make this video for a long time!
Dope vid bro gonna attempt to change my royal vendor
You got this!

@@TOPFLIGHTVENDINGINC it is waterproof! Mine has been outside a few years with no issues
You made that look easy. Nice video
Thanks! It is pretty easy!

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking

Only going into the ballast. I did put diagrams up in the video because I hooked it up to the incorrect wires the first time
@@GalaxyGames843 Awesome thanks, I must have skipped over that part the first time!
I was getting ready to ask if you could just cut the ballast out, then you did... lol Does the LED light the machine as efficiently?
Yes! Its very bright! Plenty for me!
Hello, I’m trying to do the same but I’m a bit confused on which wires to cut off on the ballast. Please help
follow the wires - you need to find the wires that feed the power to the ballast.
Cool video. maybe next time back up from mic, can hear mouth noises way to much
Thanks for the feedback
Why didn't you just change the 2 bulbs
Home depot / Lowes doesn't sell the two bulbs
Really for less than 50? I am just starying video
It could be even cheaper if you find a cheaper light! I used to do it with $19.99 lights but couldn't find that one for this video!
