That's a sign of real fatigue, especially for someone as talented as Freddie. It's still a great performance, but watch the original video and you'll see what I mean. Even so, thanks for this! So many people make an awful lot of assumptions and casually ascribe certain autobiographical interpretations to the lyrics of Bohemian Rhapsody, without any knowledge of the rest of Freddie's songbook or his approach to sog writing. The irony is that in so doing, they ignore gems like this song "iLife is Real", and others, which are a more legitimate reflection of aspects of Freddie's life and emotional state at the time of writing. I've always thought that it was among Queen's most underappreciated songs, and was thus encouraged to later read Brian also identify it as one of his favorite Freddie songs. Also, I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this, but the opening lyric and is based on the line "Ridi, Pagliaccio, sul tuo amore infranto!" from "Vesti la giubba", an aria from the opera Pagliacci.
