If you knew what you are talking about you would have said: there's no additional instrumentation or click track from behind the stage while playing overdubs are something different...
Only real, raw talent, voices, performances, instruments, only the real deal. No autotune, just these 4 amazing guys doing what they do best. Emotional, crying, heart beating like crazy, I'm in love
For years, we have been told that this song was written by Brian about a friend who was going through a difficult divorce. Very recently, Brian finally revealed Save Me is written about Freddie, who was going through a very difficult relationship at the time. He saw his friend being hurt and struggling in his love life, and wanted to tell that story through music. They rarely talked about what their songs meant explicitly with each other, but Brian said there was an air of implicit understanding between them, so I think Freddie knew :) “I wrote [‘Save Me’]-to cut a long story short-I wrote it about a friend, someone who was going through a bad time, and I imagined myself in their shoes, kind of telling the story. Someone whose relationship is totally fucked up and how sad that person was.”
Thank you for this video. This is the best Queen song and this performance was when they are at the top of their game. The simple fact that Brian May started on piano then went to guitar while Freddie Mercury finished the piano part of this song just goes to show you how good they were
I agree with you on EVERYTHING you said about queen. Simply the best and definitely beyond human. All their live performances affirm this fact. Great reaction. I love that you don't interrupt the video - your reaction is SO clear that no words are needed.
FREDDIE, FREDDIE, FREDDIE!! Such an amazingly beautiful song sung by the best singer ever. Can't get enough of Freddie, of Queen. Such a talented group of musicians. Thank you for a great reaction. 💜💜💜💜💜💜🌞🌞🌞🌞
So glad you finally reacted to this performance. Such a good song. It's so amazing how Freddie can go from that soft voice to a hard growl with such ease and little effort. He makes it look so easy.
Saw this performed a few times live and of course other songs but when any one of them switch up instruments, (mostly Freddy) It’s so seamless and natural! I love this band!
I'd never heard this track either! How good is it! Thumbs up to all who recommended you react to it and thumbs up for the reaction too - fabulous :-) xx
I always tear up with this song as with many other Queen songs....I’m a crybaby when it comes to Freddie😂😂. Also check out “Mother Love” last song Freddie sang, though he couldn’t finish it and “A Winter’s Tale” is the last song he wrote. Both are from Made In Heaven.
Yay! Glad you reacted to this. I just think it's a flawless performance with all four at the top of their game. All four were/are multi-instrumentalists, such a talented band. The way Fred times it to perfection to get back to the piano gets me every time :) So glad you enjoyed it x
Great reaction love it and yes igot chills every time I hear it freddie insane voice outstanding and yes Brian is the best guitarist ever love him so talented no words ❤️ ❤️
Another legendary Queen song and another BEAUTIFUL reaction from you, Becks. I just loved your "shaking" at 1:20, and is completely understandable: Freddie's voice has that effect even today (in November will be 30 years without him) I just love your channel, love your musical taste...I don't what else to tell you, just keep it up 😉 🤘
It is a gem of a song and a powerhouse performance, flawless in its ease and execution. I sometimes feel as though I cannot truly be in a sustained crush - but apparently I am wrong.
Thanks, Rebeka - I love how Brian starts on keyboard, with his guitar in his LAP - (BTW, he wrote the song) - and the amazing switch when Freddie tosses the mic, sits down at keys, Brian comes out on guitar solo - as amazing as Freddie is, this whole BAND does it together - harmonies, drums & bass are super -- thank you for reacting! I look forward to more from you -
Having been lucky enough to have seen Queen 12 times live, Freddie was the greatest performer and to this day have never got such a buzz from seeing a band live. Great to see your reaction and hope you get as much joy as I did 😀
Thank you for bringing back memories Rebeka. Grew up with all of Queen´s music. Fantastic that you react to the lesser famous song´s too. Keep it up plz :)
I think Brian kind of sacrificed his "fame" as a guitarist for the greater good of the band. He said (not a quote) that he didn't want the guitar to stand out on it's own but to blend in with the whole song! And it always did! It was so much a part of Queen's sound, as much as the amazing harmonies and Freddie's vocals. A true blend!
Just beautiful, period. ❤ That aura of light in the beginning, stunning! I love their diversity, legends 4 ever. Much bless dear and keep up the good work.
I just love the switch over from Brian on the piano to the guitar and Freddie’s perfect timing of walking across the stage to sit down and play right on queue. Save Me is probably my favourite song (can you have one favourite Queen song 🤔)Especially this version. Love the reaction by the way.
We all have to appreciate the art of queen from the deepest part of our hearts. All 4 members where so good ... Queen is just a gift from the universe. And we are aible, to enjoy. QUEEN4EVER!
This is one of my favorite songs, and one of my favorite concerts. BTW, John Deacon plays keyboard as well; he wrote You’re My Best Friend (about his wife) while learning the keyboard. Roger also plays guitar and has an extensive collection. Another song Brian plays keyboard (wrote) live is Who Wants To Live Forever, live Wembley.
This was the highlight of the night I saw them on the Game tour. I thought this song was magical on the album, the last song by the way what a way to close out a record, I couldn't wait to hear it live. Got a chill listening to it again! To be 21 again sitting in Madison Square Garden watching them. If you want to see Brian's mastery of the guitar look for his video of "Last Horizon".
Thanks for the great reaction to this beautiful song. Dragon Attack is another great song from the Game written by Brian. It is about the club they used to go to in Munich after recording called the Sugar Shack. React to the version from this concert Live in Montreal 1981.
Very nice! It's so seamless how they go from calm ballad to quite hard rock in one song. And the note he hits in the end of the studio version of this is out of this world.
great reaction. His voice --- gives me chills. I want him to be alive still! A lot of the Montreal 1981 performances are the best. I agree, Freddie, in particular, is not real! Notice also that Freddie's voice does not even waver when he is going up, or down , stairs; such power! I also read that the song by Brian was written about a friend who's relationship had ended (not his own).
I saw/ heard this version live when Queen released it as a single in 1979 the Crazy tour Alexander Palace London. My first concert experience. Ally Pally was a small intimate venue and oddly I got there early and actually walked upto the stage while the roadies were working on it. Lol. They ushered me and my friend MB out. Fred introduced Save me as the new single and he blew me away, it was so loud my ears had tinnitus for 3 days afterwards, such an amazing rendition so much so that 40 years later I smile when I hear the song. I was with my friend MB who I am told has passed away we lost touch the last 40 years ,I went to Uni in London, he stayed in Notts, but that concert that song still reverberates in my soul. Both Fred and MB have gone but my memories remain and I thank them both for a life long experience. Mercury was something quite unique.

Hi Miss I noticed your expression on Queen's '' save me '' there is little to comment freddie personally he was the most '' in '' and extravagant frontmen in the history of rock a voice like yours we will not hear it for hundreds of years anyway thank you miss for the video
This is live no overdubs no auto tune
Listen to those vocals
Just incredible
Four very talented people
Yes they are.:)
Unfortunately, there's an overdub from this concert. Well not much, but most of them are some pitch correction
You can see the overdub in this video: th-cam.com/video/oHXaQrWUhec/w-d-xo.html (Chinwonder2)
If you knew what you are talking about you would have said:

FACTS.
Fun Fact : Superman wears a FREDDIE MERCURY shirt ! ! !
Bravo sir, Bravo!
This is what he does if he values himself in the slightest 🤣😂🤣
And that's a fact!superman wears it !
@@ashmeersyne1130 You got that right , my friend ! ! !
Real fact:
Freddie copied the hairstyle of Christopher Reeve in 1979
"Save me" was spectacular. Freddie's range was really showcased.
A masterclass from Freddie and the rest of the band....they make it look so effortless

I didn't know that, that makes me feel so emotional now, Brian seemed to often write songs about different life experiences.
