- Beatrice Chestnut and Uranio Paes, who studied the Enneagram collectively for over 50 years, continue their discussion of time management of each of the Enneagram types. In this episode, they talk about their experiences with heart types, Enneagram Type 2, Type 3, and Type 4.
In general, these types’ perspectives of time are elastic, which can be heavily influenced by the colors of emotions. However, each Enneagram type of heart types has its own unique relationship with time and, therefore, unique solutions to develop past the personality trappings regarding time.

Thank you for the discussion and suggestions. I found that covering one topic across three episodes provides a great narrative structure, allowing for a detailed exploration of all nine types.❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this enriching conversation. I'm a SP 4 and very fast paced when engaged in a task (especially if it's one I'm enjoying). When left to my own devices, though, I can slip into a pattern of losing time almost instantly. Kronos becomes a bit of a foreign concept if I'm not at work or not accountable to someone else. The pandemic was almost an out-of-body experience because time became so abstract to me, even though I was working remotely. The idea of retirement is actually a bit unnerving to me because my subjective time can get so skewed. I'd have to leave the house and go volunteer on set days and at set times. Having a routine is really important for me.
I've found writing everything down to be extremely helpful. Anything I'm thinking about doing or need to do goes on paper. If it's external and I can see it, it becomes more concrete and creates an accountability of sorts. I keep a pocket notebook that goes everywhere with me.
Excellent video about a super important issue, very insightful for me as a social 4. Thanks.
Thanks a lot for this helpful episode. As a three I felt caught…extra lazy couch evenings after long working days…feels very nineish 🙈
