- Enjoy my reaction to How to train your dragon: The Hidden World! What a beautiful trilogy this is about friendship, love and the need for good people or dragons in our lives that help us understand our worth and value in the world. Keep an eye out for our next Dreamwork's trilogy...

You: "He just has to learn to let go."
Me: *eyes filled with tears* "Yeah... Hiccup just... has to learn to let go..."
Not exactly an easy task hey 😬
Everyone calls these movies beautiful but I think people often overlook truly how amazing the animation is in this movie - not just because its a gorgeous fantasy aesthetic, but because it looks so tangibly realistic as-well. The lighting, the textures, the virtual camera work that feels like realistic and even imperfect camera movement, the facial features and how the faces move and contort like real humans - this is one of the most technically impressive works of animation we've seen to date and the cinematography and photography geek in me can't help but be amazed with nearly every scene.
Animation nowadays deserves so much more appreciation. You can literally see their chest moving by breathing! And specifically this franchise was extremely detailed since the beggining.
The three babies are called Night Lights.
Aw cute
@@thecocoacouch I know. It's cute.
The Reversal of the Blind Trust Hand Touch ✋️ was so symbolic and masterfully done.
11 Years ago and I am still Love this movie 🥺
It’s so good
@@thecocoacouch I hope in future DreamWorks Animation can make another series
It came out in 2019
I saw this movie at my first time when I was 14, and my whole childhood I was a huge fan of this franchise. I cried so hard at the cinema, I came back home and kept crying for like a hour. Watching the end of this trilogy is like watching the end of your childhood. I am happy that I am actually an introvert, and was alone in the cinema, so nobody saw me crying so much.
I totally understand. It feels like a goodbye to childhood like you said. I was pretty close to Hiccups age the whole way through except for number 1. I was 11 when he was 15, 15 when he was 20 and finally 20 when he was 21 when I first saw The hidden worlds Hiccup was like my hero through my teen years.
I was literally born a week before the first move and have loved the trilogy my whole life, so this was my childhood ending
Excuse me, HOW WAS THIS RELEASED 5 YEARS AGO??
;-;
@@thecocoacouch Same!
Grimmel is basically hiccup if he killed toothless instead of saving him
Yea it always irks the crap out of me when he's asking hiccup what his dad thought of getting him for a son. WDYM grimmel your the exact fucking same stature!! You are just a grown up. Only line I don't really like xD
I cried like a little baby when watching this
Totally understandable 😂😭
I’m 24 and I still cry when Hiccup and Toothless say goodbye. Every. Time
Fun little fact: when Stormfly flew by the eggs 23:13 and then the small yellow dragons 23:25 , they weren't hatchlings, those were Fireworm dragons, that is there full size, most people don't know that. 😁😁
So, if you happen to have Netflix, there is a series that bridges the gap between the first and second movies. It shows how Hiccup develops the suit that he uses for solo flight, and covers a few plot holes.
ETA - The series is called Dragons: Race to the Edge. There is also Riders of Berk, which I believe is after the first movie but before Race to the Edge.
Saw this in theaters, cried like a baby after growing up with the franchise for 10 years
Httyd was my entire childhood. I grew up watching the movies and the shows and I always played httyd related games with my cousins. I watched the 3rd movie when I was 14 years old and I cried so much when I left the cinema. I couldn’t have asked for a better childhood, httyd just made it so much better
Even when I loved the 1st and the 2nd movie the most, I totally avoided to watch this one because I knew I was going to cry like a baby with the ending... These movies are one of the best animation movies that exists, not just for the movie itself, but also because of all the messages that are in it.
Last movie reaction I recommended you to Kung Fu Panda, and I'm so glad you are going to watch it (obviously I know is not because of my comment 😅)
I would like to listen to you doing a final review at the end of your reactions, not just a "reaction, the end and cut" video... I think it's a great way to let us (your subscribers) to know you better and specially the way you think to recommend you other movies/series in the future that you may like.
Still, I love your reactions, keep doing an amazing job my friend! 👍🏻
Yeah I was gonna make the end of my videos way longer soon lol. So keen to start King fu Panda though.
I'm still avoiding it (came here only to see wedding scene and cry a little)
I’m glad to hear that you’re gonna watch KFP. It’s my second fav Dreamworks trilogy behind HTTYD. I can tell u this dude seeing the hidden world at 23:08 in a theater room was a great experience. The music and animation gave me chills, still to this day. I feel ya too about at 32:41 and so on. My eyes were a waterfall in the theater room when everyone had to say goodbye to their dragons especially at 32:50 (🥺😭). The night lights r sooo cute (toothless’s kids). But I’m happy you’ve had fun with these great movies. 😊😁🐉🔥🏔️
Yeah I can’t wait to watch them! I went to those time stamps to see what I said for context and I almost cried again just rewatching the scene so I could reply to you 😂😂 that’s how emotional this movie is.
@@thecocoacouch I fell ya I still cry at their farewell scene whenever I get the chance to HTTYD 3. There will be some emotional moments in KFP, but you’ll definitely see some great villains.
For sure. Well I think maybe that’s why I like HTTYD just a tad more because it makes me feel more, KFP is epic and I have probably more fun watching it but it doesn’t leave as much of an impact as HTTYD. Still love it though it’s a close second.
@@thecocoacouch Me too 😊
I do like how you mix it around so everyone has options. ❤ Just finished the second HTTYD. The bad guy reminded my brother of the 3rd son from Brave. 😂
Thank you for a great series of reactions; you have earned yourself another subscriber! This film never fails to make me cry -- well, the whole series really, but this one in particular. I sobbed my heart out at the cinema the first time I saw it, and even though I watch it regularly, I still cry at the end. This trilogy is, in my mind, the best animated trilogy -- and second only to Lord of the Rings in terms of franchises. Simply magical. If you want more dragons, then DragonHeart (1996) is another great watch, if you can locate a copy. Thanks again!
This was and still is one of my favorite trilogies. I loved it for so many reasons but as someone with a physical disability, seeing Hiccup made me feel like I could do anything... That and who wouldn't want to live in a world with dragons?
I cry every time watching this movie. Loving it soooo much ❤
Best trilogy ever!! I have a stuffy if toothless too!! 😂❤
Just finished your third video to this trilogy, and I want to thank you for your honest and sensitive reactions! It was a pleasure to watch the movies again with you! 😊 I love this franchise, and when it comes to Toothless there is only one word, that describes him the best: adorable! ☺️
Dragonous Greetings from Germany 😉
The reversal of him first touching Toothless is the bit where I ugly cry without fail.
i just finally watched these wonderful movies less than a year ago as well. i loved watching your reactions to these ✨
I really wanted to see you reacting to the final credits where you show all the moments from the 3 films and it's the perfect conclusion to the saga, apart from the music which is perfect too
You should totally watch HTTYD Homecoming!!! It's a holiday special, set right before the epilogue, and it shows all the Toothless babies!
Excellent video. I have great memories watching this film for the first time with my dad when I was thirteen . I can't remember too much about being a little one. But that experience has always stuck with me.
Edit: I did not mean to type three initially lol
Yeah these movies are gems ☺️
@@thecocoacouch lol. I just realised I wrote when I was three.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I really wished Toothless was with another night fury. We had the original series where they were searching for so long. I was hoping that maybe the last surviving night furies were in the hidden world. It would tie up the search and then the night fury face wouldn’t be extinct.
Yesss! But, I still hate that toothlesss just kinda abandoned hiccup when he was given the chance to get with the nightfury. Even the nightfury’s design was meant to be feminine. I wish that they found a female nightfury (to avoid crossbreeding which would have been available the WHOLE time) and the dragons stays, possibly creating a dragon training academy for centuries to come
@@Randomizer-ui4mn??
@@Randomizer-ui4mndude hiccup permanently crippled him!
Not really on purpose and he felt bad@@FantasticFawnleap
@@fantasyland3646 dude not on purpose are you blind and I don’t care if he felt bad he’s still permanently crippled and he can’t get his first tail back!
Really great reaction, you're really funny. By the way, fun fact/ correction those tiny glowing dragons in the hidden world were called Fireworm dragons. They introduced them more clearly in the TV series.
Binge watching your stuff, now a new subscriber 😊
not ashamed to say i sobbed watching this in cinemas
HTYTD 3 is underrated and it doesnt deserve the HATE
32:57 this was like a reverse touch like reverse the first time they touched from the first movie when hiccup put his hand out and toothless touch this hand with his head
31:28 that was just like with toothless and Astrid. When toothless saved Astrid from falling at the end of the first movie
31:33 Hitting water from a high fall can be worse than hitting concrete. So yeah he's gone.
I don’t think it’s worse, I think it’s just the same since it doesn’t move fast enough when you hit it, much like concrete 😆 I guess it’d be worse if you survived but are then drowning.
A great end to a great trilogy, I loved all these movies, even seen some of the series on netflix Stoik is alive n the series but isn't voiced by Gerald Buttler which is kind of sad, Hiccup and Astrid are both awesome characters as is Toothless.
can you react to the httyd shows? there's riders and defenders of berk, and my personal favorite: Race to the edge
I’m not really doing long shows for a while, only new seasons of new stuff at the moment since my channel is small and I haven’t done a patreon yet for you all to see the unedited videos I do. Maybe one day ☺️
@@thecocoacouch hopefully, Race to the edge is my personal favorite and is really fun and also introduces a lot of cool dragons. I do have another suggestion, it's not dreamworks but it's called "First Kill" it only has 8 episodes and was sadly cancelled
Oh okay cool! I reckon when I start a patreon I’ll release like speed run-like uploads of a season on TH-cam and have all the full episodes on patreon? I think 10,000 subs is probably a good goal for that. Looking forward to watching them with you all ☺️
Are u still planning to watch race to the edge? Please please, not enough reactors watch it and ita getting really sad @thecocoacouch
i love these 3 movies, they are so good
Dude, you just have to watch a TV series about dragons, not only because of the awesome connection with the second part and the explanation of some things (like Stoick's dragon and Hiccup's sword) but also because of the plot in principle.
And if you like watching Astrid and Hiccup's relationship develop (since when have they been engaged,
for example) then you just won’t be able to stop watching this series))))
Will you watch the series that take place between the movies?
Possibly when I start a patreon but that’s only gonna start when I reach 10,000 subs
@@thecocoacouch ah okay. There is a lot though. Like Defenders of Berk and Race To The Edge are the main ones but there's other shorts/specials that are cannon. I love the trilogy but I'm not the expert.
Have you been watching the new season of Mandalorian? I have been having issues with letting the whole shows come out before binge watching them.
Yeah so episode 3 just came out. I just reacted to Ep 1&2 which will be up next week and the following week 3&4.
I feel like hiccup could’ve been like Drago or Grimmel because he lost a limb like drago and he was going to kill a night fury like Grimmel so drago and Grimmel are what hiccup could’ve been
15:06 Uh, did you get advice from a Bird of Paradise, Toothless?
I'm actually kinda upset he didn't show the light fury tilt her head when toothless went to catch hiccup
If you going to series you should race to the edge!!
HTTYD 3 Is underrated and it doesn't deserve the hate
A DreamWorks movie I highly recommend is "The Prince of Egypt." It's an older movie (1997), but it's a masterpiece and the animation still holds up today. And the soundtrack is composed by Hans Zimmer (lyrics by Stephen Schwartz).
I love that movie! It’s definitely top 5 for me. Watched it a lot when I was super young though since I grew up going to Sunday school. Would love to watch it on this channel soon ☺️
That’s a great movie! One of my favorites too! 😊😁
@@thecocoacouch well if you do react to it, I look forward to it! 😊
@@jackieleggs9274 RIGHT? It's so good!
From what I remember the music and style was what made it so epic?
I know it doesn’t really fit the theme of your channel but if you ever find yourself craving more how to train your dragon you should definitely check out the tv shows. (Not including 9 realms because it is a disgrace)
Haha I’ve heard of that one 😳 I’ll probably watch race to the edge down the track when I’ve established a patreon and a larger fan base
@@thecocoacouch fair enough
@@thecocoacouch Race to the Edge is probably the most readily available, but there is a series in the HTTYD world that takes place before it, Riders of Berk and Defenders of Berk... they're technically the same series but both seasons have different names.
Without going into deep spoilers, several characters from Riders and Defenders appear in Race to the Edge. It's been a while since I have seen Race to the Edge, so I'm not entirely sure watching Riders/Defenders is mandatory, but it would save you a bit of confusion.
You should do Avatar the last airbender series!
I likely will when I start a patreon when we get to 10,000 subs
Can you watch Madagascar.
Did he watch HTTYD 4? HOMECOMING?
Sonic the movie 2
Sonic
Are you Agest?!?
Odd thing to say
Oops, sorry, wrong community posting on wrong TH-cam channel. Please forgive me.
😆 all the best!
Can you please watch the gift of the nightfury Christmas special to know why I hate the plot of this one
