So when the stores close in your area, don't be surprised. Stores have their hands tied if you live in states that allow this mess. Sounds like we need to start voting with some sense.
Well, since we’ve decriminalized it in so many places, and frequently have more punishments to employees or bystanders who attempt to intervene or even question, and certain sectors have decided it’s part of their demographic identity or a statement against all those evil corrupt capitalists, why wouldn’t they brag about it? It’s no longer considered shameful or wrong to many of them, and social media would rather tell the people who find it to be a problem that *they’re* in the wrong (and likely some kind of -ist) than just say “stop breakin’ the law!”
My Carribean mother put the fear of Jail into me 😂. I accidentally stole lotion from Target due to me not paying attention at self checkout, and I went back the next day to pay. Target takes asset management very seriously, and they will build a case against you.
The way I see it, these people are so shameless and brazen about theft is they know that as long as they stay under a certain dollar threshold, the worst they'll get is a misdemeanor. Just look at how rampant shoplifting's gotten in NYC. Even if a shoplifter is arrested, a lot of these DAs are soft on crime and throw the case out. With all this, when there's no real punishment for theft, what's stopping people?
I find it irritating when stealing is used to justify elements of poverty. The first TikTok person is a clear example that stealing isn't about (well not all cases) poverty. I live in an area that has been impacted by poverty and when resources/stores leave, the rest of us deal with the fallout.
Yes, I believe poverty doesn't cause crime, but that crime causes poverty. These thieves are ruining their own communities, letting their elders and future children suffer. Which will lead to less jobs and more poverty.

Two days ago, my husband had some jeans and a jacket to return to a clothing store. On the way, as the food shop was closer, he decided to go to the grocery store as we'd run out of a few food items. This grocery store had a clothing section. The store was out of stock on what we needed, so he just decided to leave empty handed. The security guard stopped him and questioned him about the clothing in his bag, the accusation being he stole from that grocery store. His response, "they have a X stores label in them. Would you like to see my receipt". The security guard mumbled and stomped away. They have no problem stopping honest looking people, not acting suspiciously, but theives who are being obvious with their actions can leave uninterrupted. That's what I find strange.

And you know she's definitely not a PhD candidate the more you hear her talk and "reason" through her decisions 🤣🤣. Same with a lot of the thieves in the other vidoes. They're dressed to conceal their identity. RED FLAG! And to anyone who thinks that's biased or unfair, well, think about the context of a self-defense situation and having situational awareness, aka being street smart. To be street smart and stay safe, you HAVE to judge a book by its cover or you may walk right into a dangerous situation. We judge books by their covers constantly because we have to.
Frederick Douglass often referred to theft in order to explain slavery. No one gets to claim the rights to another's labor. Those who do cannot say they don't support slavery on a fundamental level. Common sense is no longer common. 😮
Just saw someone crying on TikTok because she can’t find a good job because of her felonies. Give it a few years and she’ll be on the internet crying because she can’t feed her kids too. Imagine ruining your life over a bottle of margarita mix.

People are stealing so much because they can. It's a very easy problem to fix, but the laws are too forgiving.

So when the stores close in your area, don't be surprised. Stores have their hands tied if you live in states that allow this mess. Sounds like we need to start voting with some sense.
The way basic items are locked up, it won’t be long before we are buying our toothpaste from a vending machine.
It's already happening
At least we won’t have to go fetch an understaffed employee
They'd probably just smash the vending machine and grab everything inside anyway.
@@BibleBuddy3K I'm wondering if everything's gonna go online at some point.
This is so shameful, it's like they have no dignity in their dictionary
I don't know why anyone would think of bragging about committing an illicit act online is some type of flex.
Street cred
@@annamossity8879Street justice should follow.
The same kind of person who has five baby daddies and still hasn't figured out she's being used like toilet paper and then tossed aside.
Not stealing is “respectability politics”. Not being violent and generally a stain on humanity is “respectability politics” and “policing bodies”.
My Carribean mother put the fear of Jail into me 😂. I accidentally stole lotion from Target due to me not paying attention at self checkout, and I went back the next day to pay.
Target takes asset management very seriously, and they will build a case against you.
She’s saying she did have the money to buy the stuff she wanted. That’s makes it even worse.
Nothing is free in this world. If you don't pay for something unfortunately someone else will.
All that money to buy that tired wig, those claws and spider lashes but too broke to buy alcohol, pay rent, etc.
Not anymore
I'm am so grateful I'm not a part of "her people".
Why aren't communities calling for action more? Why aren't people voting for officials who will punish thieves more harshly?
I can’t believe people think it’s ok to steal and post it on social media! Smh insane
Girl preach! I've been a SAHM for the last 6.5 years and we just can't make it on my husband's income alone anymore..I have to go back to work once our kids are back in school, I'd much rather work at the local Walgreens, CVS, etc like you said over fast food..it's nothing against fast food, I've worked at McDonald's in the past and respectfully it's not for me..I wish there were more consequences for peoples brazen actions. Literally ruining it all for the rest of society.
I'm sick of all this stupidity. Other countries cut off fingers for such despicable conduct. Only God can bring peace, because man can't .
My Lord, how embarrassing. I just did a ride-a-long with law enforcement on Saturday night, and there were some humiliating moments when it comes to this.
I would not be surprised if the next step to keep thieves out the store is you will have to run your ID with a scanner to get into the store to shop to keep these thieves out the store.
They do this and then wonder why businesses are moving further and further out
This is the reason everything is locked inside a case! Ridiculous 😤
That girl from target really thought she was fast in the gladiator sandals 😂 lmao
I’m so glad she decided to show her face on the internet .
She called them her people? THOSE are your people? I dunno if i should laugh or cry on that one .. YIIIIKES

@@Diamondr11Blue Why say "her"?
I worked for Target some years ago. The wildest thing I ever saw was a lady stole a XL Squirtle Pop Vinyl by putting it up her clothes.
I used to steal for thrills as a teen. Nothing I needed. Candy bars and soda . But then I grew the hell up and saw what I was doing to the community. The very stores I used to steal from have left my community.
"Officer, I thought those prices were just SUGGESTIONS" 😐
🚨 "Johnson, we're gonna need backup."
Work at my family’s small business. People have the audacity to steal right in front of us sometimes, one person was so awful they stole my mothers anniversary ring. Hate thieves.
"A thief knows a thief". This why I don't want to live in certain areas. What she does is also the reason why everything is locked up and I don't shop in those stores. I don't steal. Actually walked out if walmart after paying, notice I didn't pay for something. I turned around went back in and paid for it. People like her discuss me. When really need something a lot of managers will pay for for you. But liquor is not something you really need.
I live in CALIFORNIA and girl let me tell you! I have been in line at my local cvs/walgreens/groceries and seen ppl that walk out mask on and arms full.

I swear....that's gonna be my microphone from now on. LOL.
Imagine stealing of all things margarita mix and getting busted but then taking the extra step to get on social media to tell everyone what you did!?
2024 the year of the bum
Oh lord. I know the saying goes "You can't judge a book by it's cover," but you can take one look at this girl and just hear that initial "Brooooo" she opens her video with and know that she is not exactly a girl scout on her way to Bible study.
Same goes for those who believe they can destroy other's property. These actions let everyone know they believe that other people are property.

Omg, that's so racist. Most people locked up are of color and they mostly see things through cages
Yes, cages!!! I feel so bad when I go inside some Targets. Thieves caused this.

I was at 1 point working as a secret shopper and I would love to explain to these thieves 1 huge problem caused by their actions and that is every time you steal just remember you could be the reason someone lost their job and 9 times out of 10 it's the people that need that job the most. It's never worth it bc it could turn into an addiction and the more you do it and get caught the more you're earning a horrible criminal record bc with those charges on your record just know that nobody wants to hire a thief and nobody can nor will trust a thief. "Thou shalt not steal"😢😢
The fact she was going to steal alcohol from target when they literally have margaritas you can freeze for like $2-3 is beyond pathetic
It’s a game for her. She sets out on Friday to steal her liquor, then Saturday for cosmetics and Monday for clothes…
Tuesday is nail day (which she actually has to pay for) Wednesday wig day (maybe paid for, maybe not), Thursday cumbrella day, and we’re back to Friday to start all over. No time for a real job.
I wonder if her mother knows what this child is doing. But then I realized that's probably who taught her how to shoplift.
In Canada, the stores and the cops wait till a person gets up to a min of $5K to then make the charges and jail time significant
Read Target in US does the same, at over $900. They have files on these folks and let it add up. What the DA does then is often another story.
Handpuppets, Freddy Kruger nails, Boeing 747 eyelashes and whatever those weird curly hairs are sticking to her forehead.......all spell trouble to me!

Liars and thieves, can’t stand them.
As a non-American I'm confused as to why they aren't being stopped by the security guards?
In the states, because of laws, security guards aren’t allowed to stop you from stealing. They can tell you to put things back but they aren’t allowed to intervene physically unless it is a safety issue like a fight or something.
As an American, I also find it confusing, don't worry.
