Me too, the issue is the people running those platforms are creeps as well, they allow it bc it gives them money too. Capitalism is disgusting. We need to get a petition or something signed to make it ILLEGAL for infants, babies, toddlers etc to be posted online, and there needs to be harsh penalties for parents that do. doesn't matter if its in a family circle or not, creeps are everywhere. We also need to ban pitting babies behind paywalls...people are subscribing to make ''special requests' from KIDS??? It's so sickening, I hate it.
There are all these cute outfits/hairstyles out there for children…and yet, these mothers are dressing their 4-9 year olds like they’re about to have a “hot girl summer” 😭😑🤦🏾♀️
My favorite outfits for little kids is overalls and a tshirt. They look so fucking cute. All I want to do is give them a big hug while spinning them around.
@@XWierdThingsHappenX overalls are so practical for little kids, too, if they’re well-made. Comfortable, durable enough for playtime, simple to put on/take off, can make endless outfits variations with one pair and different under shirts, usually has multiple pockets for rocks and bugs and stuff… damn, do I want a pair of overalls? 🤔
I'm literally always seeing the toddler section and wishing they made adult sizes of the clothes and people are trying to dress 5 year olds like they're 20 😭
Totally agreed. I havee a idiot cousin that said " well why they made it for kids if they shouldn't wear it" i was like GIRL SHUT UP and role my eyes and i never looked at her the same again. Ugh!
@@queensofbridges4619 15 or 16 years old was what I was thinking also. We want to be able to let our girls grow up with morals and dignity. Giving them a little bit of freedom is normal but don't let it get out of control because that's when they start taking everything and everyone for granted. Love and respect ❤
What I HATE the most about this is when people comment "hey, you shouldn't dress a 5yo like that, it's inappropriate" and the fans of the account go "omggg, you're so weird for sexualising a kid like that, you are sick because you think of it as sexy and it's just a kid having funnnn" LIKE NO??? Crop tops are meant to be sexy, miniskirts are meant to be sexy, and they are because they expose skin socially seen as sensual (thighs and belly), if you dress a kid with crop tops and miniskirts YOU are sexualising them, not the people for pointing out how weird it is(???)
Kids can dress up like this for playtime or at a sleepover. For fun. In PRIVATE. Posting it on social media is the problem. There's no justification for that.
@KFrost-fx7dt yeah, of course! I remember using pashminas as shirts or skirts and rolling up clothes when I was little playing to "dress like the grown-ups," but my mother (a decent one) would have never let me go out in those
I am old enough and allowed to wear crop tops/mini skirts and choose not to (because of creeps etc because i just dont feel safe walking around like that)
I hate how the people who warn parents that their kids should not be dressing inappropriately are the ones who get accused of being weird, like YOU'RE the one being weird for dressing them up in crop tops and booty shorts like what?!
Unfortunately this is nothing new. (ex: children like Shirley Temple and Brooke Shields) It's simply unacceptable how unprotected children are, and have been throughout history. Creeps shouldn't have access to them. Makes me so upset.
I didn’t really like wearing two piece or bikini swimsuits when I was even a preteen/teen, I don’t like seeing them still being sold to kids. Tube tops and stuff is WORSE, like ignoring the aspect of there being creeps out there isn’t it easier to get sunburn or cold with clothes like that??? Babies don’t need those adult clothes and makeup, they need to be kids!!! Not adults!!!
@@RocksterStudios-tt3eh Yeah fr. These parents need to face reality. When I was really young I wanted one of those, and my mom straight up said "No." It's the best thing she's done for me. We really need to normalize swim shorts and a rash guard for kids instead of these skin-tight swimsuits.
I hate that whenever you call them out, you get people saying "why are you sexualising them, your the problem". We are protecting them, why would you be so adamant to keep toddlers in crop tops and mini skirts?
Ah, yes... the ol we should be free to dress however we please, everything is the fault of creeps looking argument. If a car runs over a kid, yes the driver is a fault... yet parents still teach their kids to look both ways before crossing the road. We don't teach kids to play in busy roads and expect them to be safe from cars. It is the same logic behind the argument for appropriate dress. We are not "blaming the victim", we are trying to protect them BEFORE THEY BECOME A VICTIM.
The sad thing about it if these parents read or watch the movie My Little Princess it's disgusting based on a real life story of a woman called Eva Ionesco and how her mother would dress her up sometimes half naked taking pictures of her when she was underage
I guess it's because they don't think about it being seen as hot, rather, they think of it as stylish, but like...wait until they're AT MOST 10 or older for them to wear crop tops
@@Smurfyis730Its fine as long as its a normal thing, like if a parent lives their childhood that they never had by giving their kid an amazing childhood to make up, but i agree that what these moms are doing isnt what i mean
Thank you for blurring their faces. A lot of content creators have the best intentions but over share the images, you are clearly putting the children first; Bless You.
at 9:50 I about lost my mind. I work with children with sexual trauma and now I'm sitting here with my whole face hot with anger this is absolutely disgusting. Is that child safe? What do they have this child doing? I hope to God they don't have these little ones interacting with strangers. I thought toddlers and tiaras was bad but this takes the cake.
It is terrible…I am not sure the solution, whether laws, or just social shaming, but some of these parents are intentionally putting their children out there to make money, and cannot fail to understand the facts of exploitation. I have sweet friends who only put totally appropriate pictures on Facebook of their children. And I enjoy seeing them, one particular family has absolutely beautiful/cute children. But having become aware of everything that goes on I cringe every time. I also know one family that has a zero tolerance policy, no pictures of their kids on any social media platform, including Snapchat.
Same. Jerked my head up so hard when l heard that l nearly had whiplash. I was molested by my teacher when l was 10 and, 55 years later l'm still dealing with the effects. Absolutely horrified me that there's some mum out there telling strangers that their child will perform on request.
I struggle to understand how any mother wants to do this to her daughter. It isn't long until girls become preteens and as soon as our boobs start to come in and our hips start to show we are sexualized whether we like it/ know how to handle it or not. Let your babies be babies. Why would you put a child in clothing with a provocative design? Yes, someone is making it, but we don't have to buy it.
I genuinely don’t believe mothers like this view their children as people; they’re just dolls. Dolls to dress up. Dolls to be used for money. They don’t view them as future adults.
yeah i rememebr when i hit puberty i hated my body and the attention it got so much that i hated my feminine form. girls dont get to be kids for long sadly.
Fr, I remember the first time I was told to put on a bra. It was by my elementary school friend when I was 10. It was so embarrassing and wild since I never had anyone comment on my body outside of my family before. Especially when it was to tell me to cover up more (I wear standard t-shirts and normal kid clothes). I can't imagine experiencing all of that from millions of unknown people online when I'm not even fully conscious yet.
Another big thing that I feel often gets brushed under the rug is the big issue of *competition dance team costumes.* I was in ballet so costumes were luckily fine, but in the jazz world especially, kids often have to perform in the most insane crop tops and booty shorts that’re sometimes paired with the most inappropriate choreography. It can even be hard for the parents that care, because their child works hard in dance class and wants to perform and feel included in the group - but u either have to pull the kid out of the studio altogether or watch them be sexualized in front of an audience. As someone who loves dance but wants kids to be protected and respected, it’s seriously sad and disturbing
its so weird. alot of it gets brushed off as needing to see the muscle movement and loose fabric being a hazard, which is true! but strange how professional dancers wear leotards and are more covered up then actual children🤔 i used to be obsessed with all star cheer when i was a tween and the outfits were so yikes looking back
I'm glad I'm not the only one weirded out by this. I remember being a fourth grader in jazz dance class and I remember another from another dance who was younger me than embarrassed because the costume had a crop top and she was covering her stomach during the whole routine. I didn't blame her one bit. Also, gymnastic leotards and some cheerleader tops for underage girls need more coverage in my opinion.
It also annoys me how some people think that we're the ones sexualizing it if we point out that a child is wearing an outfit that *clearly* is not age appropriate. Someone pointing out a child wearing a tank top would be a problem on their part, but someone pointing out a child wearing a crop top and miniskirt is completely justified because they *should not be wearing that.*
A tank top shouldn't be seen as sexual, shoulders being exposed should be for keeping cool in the summer. a crop top however is definitely meant to be that and a kid doesn't need to wear it

My mother wouldn't even let me wear a red dress until I was 16! Now, that's a bit much, I'll admit, but, god, at least she cared. Don't get me wrong, perverts are gonna pervert regardless of what children wear. I was SA-ed when I was 7 wearing PAJAMAS. And no one, especially children, deserves to get creeped on. Hands will be thrown if I ever see one of these creeps IRL, idgaf if the kid is dressing 'like an adult.' I just... I don't understand why these adult clothes are being worn by children. Why are they being CREATED and SOLD in children's sizes?? I see cutie kids clothes that I wish came in adult sizes all the time, so it's not like cute clothes are restricted to adults. I saw an ADORABLE frilly white dress last week, which was covered in pastel alphabet. I'd unironically wear that if it came in adult sizes.
my mother made me wear skirts that touched the top of my kneecap. At 60, I still wear them that long. Ain't no reason anyone needs to see someone's thighs.
I agree with you on 'why are we making adult clothes for children'. There is such a difference in a child maybe wearing a pair of shirts they've outgrown a bit, and putting a child in straight up booty shorts - no 8 yr old needs to have their butt cheeks out on display. If you like to dress modest, if you like to dress showing more skin, as an adult, it's all your preference- but little kids shouldn't have day wear that has them looking like a little club baby

this is really a reflection on how differently parents take care of their kids. one time i went into a small convenience store with my older brother, after school to get ice cream because it was really hot. when me and my brother were about to walk out of the store, a mom and her daughter, maybe less than 4, was literally wearing a sleeveless crop top and tight pants. another one was when last year i walked past the principal's office to buy something at our cafeteria, and yet ANOTHER toddler was seen wearing a crop top with the mother getting scolded by a faculty worker, since obviously my old school was very strict with dress code. im still in junior high school, and i already felt disgusted on how parents dress their child up these days...
My daughter is 6yo. She has all kinds of clothes. Elsa clothes, princess dresses, some nice/luxury clothing, a matching Scots& soda dress with mine. Those twinkle shoes from skechers, dr. I used to get annoyed as a child and teen why my mom wouldn't let me wear red nails or 💄 Now I get it 😢 I wish we lived in a world where we COULD dress little girls anyway they like but we don't. I wouldn't even let my kid act or do pagents these days and that's sad..some kids really like that stuff
Thank you for making this video, this needs to be said. It’s sickening to see parents putting their own kids out in a plate for these creeps and P*dos that are obviously the main users in these accounts. Protect the children!
On one hand, i get it. People should be able to live in a world where they won't have to deal with PDF files. BUT.... as the adult YOU shouldn't be putting your child's life and innocence on the line for views.
Even with no p3dos it's still messed up to dress up their kids inappropriately. Or post the kids online without the kids knowing the implications or fully consenting, and violating their privacy. There are other problems like making the kids self conscious about their appearance and identity. And making the kids think their whole worth is their appearance. Etc.
Like yes, no one should be blamed for their assault by their choice of clothing. At the same time, kids should not be wearing clothing with cuts that are clearly made for adult curves. It’s sickening. A toddler doesn’t need a deep v cut or crop top that is simulated to cover breasts. And we are not weirdos for pointing that out. Teach your children boundaries and that not just anyone should have access to seeing your body.
In Australia you have to get a licence to own a dog. But anyone can have children, society has no idea what or how the potential parents believe in, backgrounds etc. It's a absolute minefield, the law has to catch up , prevent-these parent's behaviour. They don't deserve to have children in their custody. Parents don't own their kids, like u own/bought/paid for ur pets. Children also have Human Rights,
I have a friend with 5 adorable bright blonde blue eyed kids, and they never wear the same clothes twice. She will only buy from boutiques, then sell the clothes at a consignment store only to turn around and do it again. What makes me so sad is every single one of those kids are trained to focus way too much on their appearance, and she takes pictures every single morning of their outfits of the day so they also worry too much about looking good on camera. The oldest is in 4th grade! I hate that my friend is so hypersensitive to appearances (she is much the same with herself and her husband),when she they are all beautiful and handsome and I just want to see people enjoying time with their kids in a healthy way.
Finally someone speaks about it in a raw, direct way. It is so disgusting what those parents are doing. Not only that but the level of danger they're putting their children in is extreme. Sick world we live in. Absolutely gross stuff. Amazing vid tho. Thanks for blurring the kids
As a long term internet user, the only way a child is safe online is if they never post pictures or type to others and the cameras are covered and mic unplugged. And even then they aren’t safe they just can’t get as messed up. Like seriously it’s not safe to even post family vacation photos at the beach 2:00 imma be honest it’s just child abuse to dress your kid like that.
“Imagine dealing with acne before you’re in middle school” As someone who’s had acne since the third grade, please don’t risk giving your child the shame and pain of acne until it happens naturally.
I don’t get it? What does the price have to do with anything. I agree a 100% you should keep your child of the internet. Would never post my girl out there.
I was just talking to my friend about this topic last week - and my saying was that my opinion is that kids shouldn't be posted at all. Interested to hear your take on it. Love watching your videos to learn about these things🤍🤍
I respect your opinion but I think it’s more nuanced than that. I grew up with a mom on Facebook so my pics are out there and I’ve never feel it was a violation. Things like, “Christmas”, “First day of school” or “at the fair” aren’t a big deal. Now obviously if there had been bath pics or anything pervy I would feel different but I think social media is all in how you use it
@@carrie9716 Problem is, nowadays, AI generated imaging exists. Photoshop exists... Even yearbook images aren't safe because there was a boy once who made innaporpriate images of ALL his MINOR female classmates and spread them around. It doesn't matter if it is appropriate or not, your children are unsafe. Period.
@@the_indecisiveartist_5850 and I completely see why you feel that way. But as you mentioned, any image can be manipulated. My potential future children will likely attend public school and get photographed regularly. Whether they are posted by me or the school, there will be images of them online. I would rather focus on punishing AI abusing individuals than trying to scrub my child off the internet which I see as a losing battle. In time laws will be created for type of AI content I believe. Truly, regular and normal photographs are not the problem. It’s the suggestive and boundary stepping images that should be controlled better. But again, I think there is no harm in being cautious and I like that there is more awareness nowadays than there was in the past.
@@catchapatcha A close relative worked for the FBI both in the child pornography and human trafficking units. I 100% understand the risks. I just also recognize the internet is not going away. Unless you homeschool and go practically Amish your children will be present on the web by your doing or their own. Teaching kids boundaries and internet safety is more important to me than trying to shield them from the web. As more kids get phones and tablets in elementary school they will be posting themselves and others. I just don’t think it’s possible to live a fully offline life and I don’t think it’s worth the fight.
I just went to Target the other day and it's crazy how many crop tops and even bikinis are in the girls section. Luckily there were plenty of other clothing options that had more coverage but it still felt icky.
Some little child dancers wear bikinis. It's not right or needed even for dance. Some athletes tried to change that they are forced to dress showy in the Olympics, but unfortunately it can be difficult.
If you pick up the toddler/baby jeans and compare them to the boys, the girl jeans are a thinner cut. I know females biologically run a little more hot, but I feel like it has less to do with that and people not wanting their baby girls looking "fat"...
There is one specific one that I keep seeing on Facebook. All of the comments are warning her, calling back to the Wren Elenor situation. She ignores all of them. Someone replied to me about "become a mother first, and you'll understand." I straight up told her, "I AM a mother and I will never understand why mothers like this one, and you, willingly put ya'lls children at risk, just to get likes and maybe money."
I would say you don't have to be a parent to see the obvious or protect kids. Parents don't have to post their kids for money or in inappropriate ways. Why did that person who responded to you make it sound like parents had to?
Children should never be treated as decorative objects or made to conform to adult standards of beauty, like wearing makeup or dressing inappropriately just to look 'pretty.' Toddlers should be free from these pressures and allowed to just be kids, without worrying about their appearance. They should have the choice to decide how they want to dress or look, based on their personal preferences-not because they think they need to meet anyone's standards. Knowing toddlers (as a big brother), I can already imagine how many scream and cry when forced into these uncomfortable or inappropriate outfits, trust me, my little sibling cries when getting her hair brushed, so imagine how a child is when forced into these tight crops tops and hair extensions that either pull on there head or provide a tripping hazard
You are a fantastic commentator. I am studying to be an English teacher, and often think about ways I can make the "essay" more interesting for my students. I would love to show them this video as an example of an argumentative essay. Fantastic (and important) work!
As kind of a child I agree in the make up part. I just started middle school and ALL of my girl classmates wear like 70 layers of makeup, they look good, not my problem, but then they start to pick up on other girls that don't use make up or make up in a natural way, without any base o highlighter. It's just kind of sad, because they don't use makeup because they like it, they use it because they "need" it.
Oh Lord. Tell them that 90 percent of these online make-up tutorials are done by people who have zero training as makeup artists. What they're doing is one step down from clown makeup -- it's waaay too much and no one in normal life walks around with 100 percent full coverage face paint on like that.
70 layers? That sounds kind of mean spirited but I get your point, they’re still quite young. They’re obviously going to be insecure about things like most people growing up. As long as they don’t get to your head and then leave them be because then they’ll reminisce on their past actions. Talk to the girls they make fun of, be nice to them. They shouldn’t feel like they peaked in middle school.
You said everything that I've been thinking in this video. People should not be allowed to have dedicated accounts specifically for their children. Children should not be monetizable. There's no reason why a five year old is wearing skimpier clothing than most grown women. Social media sites should really start cracking down on those accounts. It's disgusting.
The clothes we kids wore in the 70’s and 80’s were all incredibly modest and infinitely dorky. We looked and played like kids until puberty was complete around 16. Perverts have never had it better than they do today. My daughter (17) dressed like a legit grandma until she was about 14 and I finally convinced her to ditch items like the sweatshirt with a cardinal on a snowy branch and a lace collar. I raised her the way I was raised but maybe a bit too much 😂
I started reporting some of these accounts. I don't care. you're sexualizing your child for views and predators it's gotta go.

Because they are sick in the head.
Ah, yes... the ol we should be free to dress however we please, everything is the fault of creeps looking argument.

So pimping out a child??!! Fix it Jesus

I dont either. Like there is a way to do super cute mommy and me outfits without crop tops and hot pants on a child
yeah i rememebr when i hit puberty i hated my body and the attention it got so much that i hated my feminine form. girls dont get to be kids for long sadly.
The sexualization of women's bodies is one of my personal least favorite forms of sexism.
As someone who loves dance but wants kids to be protected and respected, it’s seriously sad and disturbing
not just competition costumes even recital costumes
EXACTLY! This always gave me the ick.
its so weird. alot of it gets brushed off as needing to see the muscle movement and loose fabric being a hazard, which is true! but strange how professional dancers wear leotards and are more covered up then actual children🤔 i used to be obsessed with all star cheer when i was a tween and the outfits were so yikes looking back
Reminds me when Chrissy Teigen was making weird tweets about little girl’s in such costumes
Isn't that the same logic as "If women wear revealing clothes, they shouldn't complain about all the stares"?
A tank top shouldn't be seen as sexual, shoulders being exposed should be for keeping cool in the summer. a crop top however is definitely meant to be that and a kid doesn't need to wear it

I just...
@tricorvus2673 I'm a grown up with beautiful thighs. People are gonna look no matter what so fuck them 😊
I just saved a child from SA,people here are fucking horrible.

The only makeup the girls wore when I was in middle school was lip gross and eye shadow without any foundation on
You said everything that I've been thinking in this video. People should not be allowed to have dedicated accounts specifically for their children. Children should not be monetizable. There's no reason why a five year old is wearing skimpier clothing than most grown women. Social media sites should really start cracking down on those accounts. It's disgusting.
They get around the rules by being “mommy run.” The companies make way too much money to care.
@@auggiedoggiesmommy1734 Ik, it's just sad. Little ones should not be allowed to be money making machines.
THANK YOUUUU
I couldn't have said it better myself. people need to protect their kids. this is sickening
I raised her the way I was raised but maybe a bit too much 😂
Heres a new trend. Dont put your kids online or in social media for total strangers to gawk at or worse...
