    Thanks Rick. A very helpful video. I’ve just ordered a replacement controller through your website.

    Amazing video! We have the square relay box (and broken CM927), but we have a heatpump, not a gas boiler. If it all worked fine with the now broken CM927 thermostat, would the Pro Series work fine, too?

    • @MWPHS
      @MWPHS  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No it won't. The cycle rates for the Pro Series Thermostat are not suited to heat pumps. You would need the evohome controller for optimum operation of the heat pump. I'm surprised the CM927 was working well, especially if it was set to gas boiler settings as it would have been cycling the heat pump a lot.

    Great information. Thank you! Are there different variants of the bdr91? My mums thermostat has gone potty (cm927) and the display or whats left of it is showing programming modes and we cannot get the display to return to the room temp. Would happily putchase and re bind the new unot from.the link but, the onlybreason i know its a bdr91 is feom the sticker. Its square but looks slighlty different to the one in the video. Not sure i fancy chamging boxes aver also 😂

      There are different variants, but all BDR91's work the same when it comes to the Pro Series Thermostat. If in doubt, we sell this one which works perfectly with the Pro Series Thermostat (and you can just swap the fasica over which means you don't have to touch the wiring) - theintergasshop.co.uk/heating-controls/28-honeywell-bdr91-wireless-relay-box.html

    Hi, thanks for this. I have the CM927 with the square BDR921 relay. It calls for heat every 10 minutes when it is already 0.5c above the target temperature, which I understand is a deliberate feature. Would these three replacment options also do this? Thanks.

    • @MWPHS
      @MWPHS  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, all Resideo digital controls use TPI function. TPI saves about 10% on heating bills verses those that don't have it, so its a feature you want to keep.

    Hi, we have a dying CM927 (up button for temperature no longer works) and it is paired to a BDR91 receiver. (Gas boiler). Can we just buy a wireless thermostat - either Pro or T3R wireless and pair it to the existing receiver? Thanks

    • @MWPHS
      @MWPHS  หลายเดือนก่อน

      T3R won’t work, but if you buy this one we include instructions how to pair it to your existing BDR91 - theintergasshop.co.uk/home/99-cms927-7-day-wireless-programmable-room-thermostat-cms927b1049.html

    Hello what your advice be whereby we have underfloor heating controlled by two Wall Mounter cm905 and faulty cm927?- We have the Older Horizontal Rela Box

      Maybe look at a system like evohome that can control it all? Check out the evohome videos on our channel.

    Hi Rich
    How does the Pro series thermostat compare to the Honeywell T3R
    Looking at various upgrades to CM927 Thanks

    • @MWPHS
      @MWPHS  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Pro Series Programmable Thermostat (soon to become Resideo TotalHome) is essentially the same as a T3R without a couple of its features. However, the T3R is a Ramses 3 protocol product, so cannot pair to an existing BDR91 if one is already installed with the CM927.

      @@MWPHS Hi Rich
      Thanks for replying
      My CM927 has the rectangular receiver (HC60NG) although I have a spare BDR91 because I had to purchase another CM927 some years ago and that paired to the old receiver. I will have to change the receiver so its just a matter of what to go for, any suggestions haha, probably the Pro series ??, thanks for the info

    My daughter's CM927 thermostat is broken but has the rectangular receiver. What options are there please?

    • @MWPHS
      @MWPHS  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have the rectangular receiver the only option is to buy another CM927, but bear in mind these will be several years old now and even if they are new they will be unwarranted. The closest thing to a CM927 is a T4R - mwphs.co.uk/product/honeywell-home-t4r-7-day-wireless-programmable-thermostat-y4h910rf4003/

    @MWPHS - is there a list of compatible stat/receivers anywhere (not just this model) - I can't find a list anywhere and I'd like to swap my dumb wireless stat for a time-settable stat but it's a rented property and I can't change the boiler wiring side.

    • @MWPHS
      @MWPHS  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If only it was that easy! Generally receivers for wireless thermostats are very similar, so you should be able to replace it with another thermostat and wireless relay box quite easily.

      Do you have a square or rectangular relay box? It sounds like a communication issue between the thermostat and relay box.

    • @christopherreeves2408
      @christopherreeves2408 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It,s square

    • @MWPHS
      @MWPHS  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@christopherreeves2408 normally the location of the wireless relay box affects how the two items communicate with each other. It’s essential that the wireless relay box is installed as per the manufacturers instructions, but most importantly to note is that it 300mm away from metallic items and has a direct communications path to the thermostat that doesn’t go through anything metallic, otherwise comms are severely affected between the items.
