      @@angelamadsen416 If she was saying sarcastically I could believe it. The first part comports with her biography, in that her family was poor and she was often sick. She talks about being grateful for the help the Church gave her family and has a lot of respect for it, but remains committed to Judaism.
      One often needs to be care with comedians when taking what they say at face value. She did mention in her biography that when she started her stand up career she got frustrated with how she was treated when she said she was from Utah. She respected Mormons for being kind, but she smoked, drank, and swore like a sailor. She was proud of her Jewish heritage and didn't want others to think of as a bad Mormon. So for a while she started telling people that she was from Illinois, which is where her TV show was based.

      Yeah anything found in the USA that’s very old with the slightest hint of the Mideast written on it gets very little news time and so forth. Can’t say anymore then this but the Masons know and as far as Book Of Mormon goes yeah it’s very clear most of it took place in South America but part of it took place in North America. Again very little ever in the news and as far as Smithoniam goes don’t worry abt them too much, there is clear history abt them as well and divisions within it at the time. The interesting thing abt the Mormons is when you read old records you can find things within the text its self which tells you more information than the mention of perhaps where something physically took place. Also one of the big ones, this Book OF Mormon has like well over five different writing styles and no way this joe Smith could have authored such a book on his own so yeah this book is true. Also interesting when you look at some of the ancient finds in Florida and that direction amazing finds that get little to know news.. I think the guys are a bit rude in the interview and too much hate in world. As far as Tucker goes I won’t even address that as this Book Of Mormon seems to stand on its own two feet very well. I hope it will be a good read for anyone wanting to read old records and learn more. Why hate things that are true no matter how they are claimed to had been found, who cares just grab stuff that’s true like this and run with it man.

      @elizabethbaker2426,
      Verily, the sentiments expressed by Tucker Carlson doth resonate with the principles of truth and introspection. His choice to "stop" and the inquiry into why one would "hate things that are true and don’t affect you" indeed strike a chord, as they invite us to ponder upon our attitudes towards truth and its acceptance in our lives.
      This perspective aligns with scriptural teachings. In The Book of Mormon: another testament of Jesus Christ, we find a relevant verse in Alma 32:27, which counsels: "But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words." This scripture teaches the value of openness to truth and the willingness to explore and embrace it, even if it initially challenges our existing beliefs or perceptions.
      Similarly, in the Holy Bible, the book of John presents a profound insight into truth and its acceptance. John 8:32 says, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." This verse highlights the liberating power of truth, suggesting that embracing truth, even when it is challenging or uncomfortable, leads to greater freedom and understanding.
      The concept of not hating what is true, even if it does not directly affect us, also aligns with the Christian principle of love and acceptance, as taught in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1 Corinthians 13:6, it is written: "Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth." This teaches us to find joy in truth, to embrace it for its own sake, and to avoid rejecting it out of prejudice or misunderstanding.
      In the spirit of these teachings, both from The Book of Mormon: another testament of Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible, let us strive to be open to truth, wherever it may be found, and to welcome it into our hearts and minds. May we always seek to understand and embrace the truth, for in so doing, we align ourselves with the divine principles of wisdom, love, and eternal progression. Amen.

    I'm happy to see people, especially large public figures, start to take the Book of Mormon more seriously. I get a little nervous when them taking it seriously is attached to other beliefs only held by a small percentage of the population. If you try to attach the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon to the truthfulness of these online theories floating out there, It's can cause people who don't take those theories seriously to also not take the Book of Mormon seriously. It might even cause them to take the book of Mormon less seriously than before.

    The problem with some areas of archaeology is that it is very difficult to break tradition. Many PhDs are wholly dependent on tradition and if something were to risk damaging that tradition, they discount the evidence. One example is the Jews in Egypt. Many archaeologists believe the Exodus story is fake because there is no evidence that any Jews existed in the time of Ramses. However, when they dig a little deeper there were a people who looked to be jewish. But this cannot be accepted because too many people rely upon the current time frames for matching other archaeological evidences of other cultures.
    I remember back when I was a kid, I took two archaeological classes at the same time one was a 100 level archaeology class, the other was a 300 level archaeology class. In the 100 level class, the book said there was definitively no one in the Americas prior to 10,000 years BCE. In the 300 level.class we had to make argument whether there were people in the Americas prior to 10,000 BCE.
    Now it is a commonly accepted there were people here prior to 10,000 BCE.
    I had another experience where I stumbled upon an ad hoc lecture by a famous astronomer. When people asked him all sorts of questions, his reply to virtually all of them was "we do not know, but this is what I/we think."
    The reality is we know so little, yet pretend to know so much just to satisfy our egos. This applies to not just science, but religion as well. When we read the scriptures we must attune ourselves to the scriptures and the Holy Spirit because God wants to share everything with all of us. We must be careful to not heed too much to the world in all things, science or religion, we must follow the truth even if it takes us down uncomfortable paths.

      Wouldn't the people existing here 10000 BCE conflict directly with the idea that Adam and Eve existed around 7000 years ago and they were the first humans created by God? I thought that the belief that we have only been around for about 7000 years was pretty standard teaching in the church.

    • @elgallosabio4364
      @elgallosabio4364 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@kevinsherman420 Maybe I am wrong, but the 7,000 year concept does not seem to be a church doctrine. I know there are 7 periods as described in the temple. I suspect that God the Father is not subject to the constraints of time and space. In other words, in my opinion He can be everywhere all at once. I feel that is how He was able to show the Prophets the future. He did not have to guess, He knew. Otherwise how could He show the future if He was subject to the bounds of space and time? I have always thought of it as if we were located inside a record and we knew the record rotated on a linear basis at 33 1/3 RPM (Rounds Per Minute). We as characters on the record are subject to the linear route and must follow the track on a linear basis. But God, does not exist within the bounds of the record he can place the needle on the record exactly where He wants, when He wants to. And if we, as characters on the record, were to ask God how many RPMs does He do, how would one respond when He is in a completely different dimension that is not subject to RPMs. Maybe since trying to explain things on terms the characters on the record could understand, He said it was a long time, like maybe 33,333 RPMs in comparison to 33.3 RPMs when in reality there is no comparison.
      Even though I understand God is eternal, I struggle to truly comprehend what that means when all I know is based upon time and everything I know has a beginning and an end.
      That being said, if I completely misunderstood and the earth is only about 7,000 years old, I am not worried about that. While I have a hard time comprehending an earth that is only 7,000 years old, I know we are here, and if it is only 7,000 years old I won't argue with God about that. I know there is a resurrection, but I admit I do not understand how it works. I will not argue with God about how He created the earth or how He resurrects us, but I know He did. I just do not know how He does it. As humans we try to figure out how He did it within our scope of extremely limited knowledge and understanding and we will come up with many erroneous ideas and some correct ideas. In other words you may be completely correct, I just do not understand it at this moment.

    The first publication of the Smithsonian was “Ancient monuments of the Mississippi valley “
    By EG Squiers and Davis. However as he continued his work publishing about the great civilizations the Smithsonian began editing his works and removing evidences of the ancient mound cultures. America was not allowed a “history”, if America had evidence of once great civilizations it would go against the manifest destiny agenda, and the removal of lands from native Americans. This was the beginning of Marxist ideas introduced by Lewis Henry Morgan into the American sciences. (Marx references Morgan in the communist manifesto). Read the book “The land of Prehistory” it outlines the deliberate destruction of these artifacts and how science was used to erase their history.

    We went on a trip over the Midwest exploring many of these mounds Tucker was talking about. In the 19th century many farmers excavated their land to farm and in doing so uncovered much evidence of civilizations. There were several significant discoveries during this time that were aggressively put down as hoaxes (one of these men lost his reputation and took his own life over the bruhaha). Word got around and thereafter, farmers began hoarding their finds in their basements and root cellars rather than be called hoaxers. One man in Michigan had a huge treasury of these things and eventually through a series of "coincidences" they were donated to BYU. Of course, BYU treasured this gift... NOT... and set them aside because BYU archaeologists (archaeo-snobs), being highly educated, knew Book of Mormon evidences only came from Central America. Wayne May thankfully went and photographed these wonderful artifacts before they were put away who knows where (in the hoax bin). John C Fremont was in charge of the Smithsonian early on and was not friendly to any evidence suggesting that the early American Indian people were anything other than savages.

Those who were native to the US - those associated with the Hopewells, those that were preached to by the early missionaries when Joseph was told to send missionaries to the Lamanites.
    It was accurate at the time, but as the borders of the US expanded, the phrase became less true under the new understanding of "American Indian".

    Have any of you ever listened to Wayne Maye? He has a couple of great videos exposing the hypocrisy of the early Smithsonian Guys. One of my favorites is this religious stone plank that a Native American tribe had for eons , some guy from the Smithsonian saw it one day when passing through on their tribal grounds and said I’d like to barrow this , the tribe said no , but like all things Smithsoian he took it anyway. Then put it on display at the Smithsonian for years !
    One day a world renowned archaeologist/ ancient Hebrew Scholar from France is walking through the Smithsonian museum and sees this artifact and says wow this is amazing , how did you get this? The Smithsonian head , asked why, the Frenchman said because first of all you have it upside down , and then he said it reads Jesus/Joshua in ancient Hebrew. The Smithsonian guy said you’re reading it wrong. Long story short this awesome Frenchmen helped this tribe take the Smithsonian to court helped them get back this precious ancient religious artifact, later the the Smithsonian guy showed up and told the Native American tribe you have display this Religious artifacts the way we had displayed.
    The Smithsonian Air and Space Museum is really cool. To bad the Smithsonian Museum is full of bogus people who instead of looking for truth and history and respect , they are full of rewriting American history to meet their narrative.

Barr stated, "Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning, I was a Jew. Sunday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon, and Wednesday afternoon, we were mormon." She also relates another experience she had with the "Mormons".

    Guys, great job on the exposé of the Tucker Carlson interview. I was especially intrigued by your observations of the guy who was snickering off camera and who was about to mock the Book of Mormon until Tucker delivered his truth bomb. But then I watch you guys do the same snickering and chortling as that guy When it comes to anything outside what the gatekeepers in LDS academia have interpreted for us lay people. Did you miss the point that Tucker made when he said “massive population centers”?Where? Oh yeah, North America! And yet you jumped in immediately with Mesoamerican evidence, which had nothing to do with Tucker’s comments. As humans, we are all creatures of confirmation bias, and if we have grown up on the Mesoamerican theory, it’s difficult to wrap our arms around a whole new way to view Book of Mormon setting. Yet it is a fact that Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery, and and every general conference talk given since 1830 has underscored the fact that the Hill Cumorah is in Western New York. Joseph Smith said the “plains of the Nephites” were the same plains that they marched over on Zions camp. The kind of chortling that Tucker‘s guy did is what you (and all the gatekeepers) do whenever anyone talks about Joseph Smith’s revelation about Zelph in Illinois. It’s easy to see disbelief in others and difficult to see it in ourselves. The gatekeepers inside the LDS academia have worked hard to make sure that nobody looks to North America for any evidence.

Joseph Smith is an even more blatantly false prophet than Muhammad was & Joseph seemed to follow the same patterns as Muhammad did, including his god that serves the prophets sexual desires above all other things & his god that gave him more & more power over men. Joseph even put himself above Jesus in importance, just as Muhammad did. Muhammad never tried to make himself into a god like Joseph did, so he is still not as bad as Joseph was.
