Dachshunds are known to be hams when it come to getting hurt. They'll see that they get more attention because they're hurt and tend to play it up for that added attention. My dachshund mix when she would end up getting her paw stepped on she would fake a limp when that person is around and then cut the act when they would leave. She also used to scream whenever she was faced with the slightest amount of real pain (she's old now and has a trick knee)but I told her to cut it out and toned down to just whimpering

You need to fix the hole(s) in the game fence if you plan to keep chickens. If not your neighbor’s Cane Corso Mastiffs will be enjoying “Chick-fil-A” on the regular. Also, my bro uses those “Snappy-fit” bowls for all his breeder parrots. They are great until the wire holding the bowls loosens up (which takes a while.) Then he uses them for his smaller birds; Rosellas, etc.. If anything larger than a Rosy Galah Cockatoo perches on the bowl it will release and fall. Also, larger birds like Macaws will eventually learn to pull them right off the cage. When the wires loosen that can become quite messy.

My girl said when you get your surveillance system, you should dedicate a separate system to 24 hour animal watch where people can go into your website and look at your animals at all times of the day and night with a donate button for each to raise money for new cages better food ect. I know you dont like taking donations unless you really need it but still a great idea for all those who want to contribute and see the animals

Cockatoos and Tropicals in general are extremely vocal first thing in the morning and again late in the evening before bedtime. My Cockatoo is so loud as well as my Amazon. My Amazon loves to sing Opera but Angelina my Cockatoo just like to scream twice a day. On there other hand I feel sorry for my African Grey Congo as Merlin will continue to yell out Angelina, Lilo Stop it, Shut up!!

Birds are loud in the morning and in the afternoon around dinner time. This is their socialization period. My cockatoo does it too. Love the blankets for the cockatoo - great thing your doing!!! Thank you for adopting the cockatoos - they get dumped by so many people after their super cute stage because people don't understand the amount of work they take. So thank you.

Omg! Poor Richard!! My dog does the same thing!! He’s 15 yrs old and walks like a 90 year old man, but the minute my neighbor comes to say hi.. he starts jumping and running!! Sending my love to you and the fam and of course all the animals!!
Also be careful with them since their backs are so long they can easily slip a disc in their back😢 it happened to my aunts dog and she had to have back surgery and she lost use of one back leg.

I'm currently fostering a dachshund who is the absolute biggest drama king, he SCREAMS when something only slightly inconveniences him, and it takes 4 people to hold him still for injections - so I could only imagine how little Richard was screaming with an actual injury!They are loud but tough little pups, Richard will be healed and back to normal in no time 😊

Make sure to leave enough room by your garage door track for someone to be able to work on it. Garage door springs break all the time and mess up the track. It just sucks when you gotta tear out something built into the house to be able to replace the track. Turns a 5 min fix into a 4hr one haha

If you have Trupanion Pet Insurance they pay for everthing (except routine care). Saved my bacon with two English Bulldogs - both with their own unique issues. Bea's nares surgery was about 6K and they paid it -- no questions. Saved her chubby little life.

To help your parrots claws stay dulled down give them multiple things with correct size to climb on.. Amazon has Rypet parrot perch rough its like cement helps to give a more nature surface to perche on verses the board "ouch".
Hi Tyler, just a suggestion, try swapping the dry food to the veg bowl space for the macaw, so they are not going over the bowl and wasting it? My parrots used to do this as well.
