Very distinctive sound. Especially if you sit at the rear section (of the cabin) and they're set take-off mode especially ;)) TU154 was a working horse and the 1 st step for almost every experienced pilot who's flying jets in Russia these days.

Obviously a rip-off of the 1962 Boeing 727's design. The Soviets were infamous for buying American aircraft and reverse engineering them rather than building their own.
+Jet Gardner It's better to educate yourself. My recommendation is to read the articles for Tu 134, Tu 154, Sud Aviation Caravelle, Hawker Siddeley Trident and Boeing 727 from Wikipedia. However read the entire articles not just the parts with when was the first flights of each aircraft. Even if Tu 154 and Boing 727 look similar they are different aircrafts with different characteristics. And by the way the design concept of putting the engines on the rear of the fuselage is not American but French - first implemented in the Caravelle and then copied by athers
