Adding a construction vacuum cleaner or chip blower to the mix is a practical suggestion-keeping the workspace clean not only enhances safety but also improves workflow. This type of organization is vital when working in compact environments, where clutter can quickly become overwhelming.
Incredibly easy to take apart, really like it. If I would build one myself, I would make front and rear of the table top identical, like the Roubo design, with a small gap inbetween, but that's the only thing I would change.
Great video and nice bench. Ignore the haters. It's quite rare for something to be "innovative" in the world of woodwork given the masters from past generations.
Nice build. Maybe its to save wood with the leg brace but if you drop the leg braces to about 3 in off the ground it makes a nice place to hook your foot planing its a simple upgrade nice all the same
Please don't be upset about the negative comments (who were not aware that you did not "steal" anything, but just used a old bench design which happend to be popularized independently somewhere else also). I appreciate the overview of this nice bench very much.
Thanks for your consideration, Nick. Of all the things we have made over the last 22 years, this is our most watch video and our most controversial object. Weird! I was going to pull the video due to the uproar, but then realised that more people liked it than didn't like it. I'm delighted if you found something of value from watching this video. We don't actually make this bench any more. Happy woodworking!
Nicely done on this interrelation of the Moxon vise. you guys have done a great job with it and i know whom ever has been able to purchase theses have a bench they love and is 100% useful. Thanks for sharing and have a blessed week Dale
No, we don't have/sell plans for this bench. Infact, after all the negative comments about the origins of this configuration, we don't make this bench any more.
It felt a little weird to see this vintage portable workbench, in an environment full of huge stationary tools. Its a lovely bench but i can imagine you're making large objects with those tools, why do you prefer a workbench like this with such a small surface area instead of a much more wider workbench?
HI Myrthen, this style of work bench responds to very specific needs. I am primarily a chair maker and this would not be my daily go-to bench. As you rightly point out, the size of the working surface is modest. But this bench is excellent for someone who has limited space and needs to pack away the bench between sessions, or who needs to work on-site. We use ours whenever we are doing an installation and require a bench onsite. One of our clients is from Hong Kong and he assembles his bench on the balcony of his apartment when he has time for woodwork.
Thanks for teaching me the right way to assemble it. I am in process of building one right now. The fitting was a chore without knowing that. Thanks!

Que vacan ...soy de Perú y me gusta los trabajos en Madera ...Algún día me haré una mesa de trabajo... Felicidades .
This is a Moravian workbench, just like Will Myers’ amazing table - looks well built, with some mods, but a tad disappointing Will isn’t mentioned
Yeah... I was really disappointed by that.
He is mentioned in the description...
Im really disappionted that the Moravians Fred and Günther weren’t mentioned, since they designed the bench 450 years ago
@@sozekeysersoze Someone`s always offended/disappointed nowadays.

Incredible job mate 👍 nicely done. Amazed by the simplicity of the design.

Introducing?
This is almost exactly like the one Will Meyers adapted from the old Salem bench.

Thanks for sharing, best to you and yours!
This design is not new, it is the 18th C. Moravian bench. Here is a little history. th-cam.com/video/k6IN5e1ZiYo/w-d-xo.html

Are you selling the plans?
Excellent video. Cheers.
What wood was used in this workbench? it looks amazing, is it maple?
Yes, it's prime rock maple.
Are there plans for this if so can I purchase them or are they free

If you have never worked with this bench, then you just don't understand. I have the bench from Will Myers, and it is fantastic.
plan please
Sorry, we don't sell/make available plans. Plans for variations of this style of work bench are available from a number of sources.
Nothing but old, stolen tech made new. And for a nonsense price!
HI Solid Snake, thank you for your feedback. For a more detailed comment on this matter, please see my reply to Brian Fredie (above). Cheers,
