As a beginner woodworker myself, I admire this kind of attention to detail. I still have a long way to go, but I aspire to someday be able to build something to this level of perfection and beyond. Thank you for sharing this process. I look forward to attempting one of these in a few years' time.
watching this build was nothing, nothing short of joyous. Real timbers, real tools (mostly) and real craftsmanship - just a joy to observe - and an awesome bench at the end. Nice to see someone who knows how to use a tenon saw, hand router (we call these a 'Granny's tooth') and just wonderful work with chisels and planes. Have you ever encountered the question "whats the difference between wood and timber?" - the answer is "timber you build with, wood you burn". Thanks and greetings from Melbourne. When travelling we spent a month in Poland - a fabulous experience and we met so many wonderful people there - I wish I hadn't drank the vodka but great beers 🙂

G'day :) That's really nice to hear that you like the video. Nice to hear that you liked spending some time in Poland also...but...I have to disappoint you about one thing - vodka is no longer our national drink. Now it's Prosecco with Aperol, a little bit of fresh orange juice and sparkling water. Ice recommended...sorry :-)
Mistrz w swoim naturalnym środowisku :)Mistrz udowadnia uczniom, iż dysponując sercem, wiedzą, czasem i odpowiednim materiałem można budować cuda. Efektem pracy jest jedyna w swoim rodzaju strugnica, która spokojnie mogła by stanąć w nie jednym salonie. A gdyby to ktoś chciał przeliczyć na złote dukaty, oj wartość - bezcenna :)
WOW! What really struck me about your build is the PRECISION of the cuts in all of the joinery work. Stunning work. Thanks for sharing your build. Certainly one of the best Moravian builds I've ever seen.
This is the first video on your channel I have watched. Love how you knocked down the shoulder at 9:02 to ease the plane over the tenon. Cool tip thanks
Magnificent! I love long form videos, but publishing this as a time lapse with a Cody Francis song to kick it off is perfect. Thank you brother for sharing 🫡
While I learned many of those skills as a youth, so many of those tasks I would now go to a power tool to undertake... it's wonderful to see someone carrying on applying hand tools and skills and doing it so masterfully. Beautiful work and very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
I have the plans for that very same bench. I hope to build it as soon as i knock out more of the stuff on my wife's list, if that is ever possible. Great looking bench built to a very fine detail too! Hats off to you for such attention to detail building my dream workbench at a level I have not seen before!
I built a Moravian as my first hand tool project, well, because I didn't have a bench. I love it and the journey made me fall in love with hand tool work. Great video!
W każdym drobnym detalu widać rękę mistrza, misterna i dokładna robota czego finalnym dziełem jest świetnie skrojony na miarę stół warsztatowy. Podkład dobierasz świetny .... muzyczny.
An excellent build, well executed and the video production and music are first rate, all in all a most enjoyable experience watching a master craftsman at work!
yeah? what did you learn by watching? I was disappointed in the music and action movie editing. I wanted to watch an expert and learn like an apprentice.
Awesome work, Sir. Love the use of hand tools for making some of the more complicated mortises and tenons. Not sure I would even know how to do that without power tools, but seeing it done opened up new possibilities.Yes, I'm still a beginner. Thanks for sharing. Very cool!
Now THAT is the definition of craftsmanship...I would love to learn from you! If you were ever to desire a student I would be privelaged to study under you. I am very impressed, and I've been told many times that I am demanding, as an employer. LOL I will follow you from here on my friend!
This was so satisfying to watch! You sir are a master woodworker and more! Your attention to detail and the precision of your work is stellar and wonderful to watch. But to see the end result is truly awe inspiring!! Thank you.
You, my friend, are a master. Your skill and craftsmanship are beyond amazing. You should teach the old ways of woodworking. I can only dream of having the patience to do that level of beauty. Your video and editing was top notch as well. It was a long video, but I never got bored with soundtrack that was nice and smooth. Nice job. You can send that work bench my way, lol.
I am amazed, this work is exceptional! Not for the realization itself, but for all the techniques applied. This is by far one of the best DIY videos I've ever seen. The precision is remarkable and everything is mastered from A to Z, in the rules of art. Thank you so much for this great lesson(s)!
Wonderful inspiration. I'm now beginning a Moravian workbench build. Your's is an example in perfection and I hope to achieve at least a portion of this beauty in mine.
I make my hand-cut mortises the same way you do, with a slightly narrow chisel. I then come back and pare the sides to the gauge lines. It takes a little longer, but I get much straighter sides that when I use the "correct" sized chisel. I also did the same with hand-cut dados (housing joints) on a mini-bench that I built. Again, the sides were perfectly straight, indistinguishable from machine-cut ones made with an electric router or table saw.
I love watching videos on woodworking. One thing I find is missing. I would love more info on the types of wood used for each component of this bench. Otherwise 👍👍
Niesamowite i dech zapiera , mistrz to mało powiedziane. Obecnie prądu nie ma i warsztat stoi, a tutaj ręczna robota czyli rzemiosło wyuczone. Pozdrawiam.
Stunning piece and wonderful work. I was planning to make this from Merbau, using hand tools as much as possible. I think I will be doing a LOT of sharpening of my planes and chisels! Can't wait. Greetings from Sydney, Australia - Dave
Wonderful. Not just the bench, the music choice, the camera positions, and even edited around the ads. Excellent job. I believe you are a tech guy who does woodworking? Rather than a Woodworker who makes videos like myself. And your view numbers are brilliant 👌 Congratulations not just on making a cool bench, but also getting ad revenue for creating such a piece. Very well done.
Plainly awesome! So many thanks for sharing that! I started building one after the plans of Will Meyers. On some joints, you offer different solutions. Some maybe even simpler to make. Thanks, you motivated me continuing on my bench!
This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!

I built an apartment sized one of these using laminated pine for the legs and an ash plank from the bottem of my old door for the top. I still need to add the vise and some holes for my hold fasts.
My first thought was... I wonder if he already has a bench to build a bench with? Love white oak; is that what this is? I appreciate your precision, technique, allowing for wood movement and the ball pin hammer technique on the end grain of the tenon. I'm also a fan or Varitas tools, and those wooden pegs are great. With the splayed legs this bench seems like it would be very stable and not rock too much while planing or sawing or any other activity with a back and forth motion. The shop made finish is beautiful. Very well done! Excellent work.
First off thanks for an awesome video. I learned a lot. As I have limited experience, forgive me if this is a silly question. I have just unboxed my electric planer, and have gotten hand planers, and was thinking that the order of using these in combination would be the opposite. Use the electric to bring the wood close to where you want it in terms of flat/trueness, and then fine tune and smooth with the hand plane. Of course if you’re doing it the way you did, I could deduce that my thinking and lack of experience means I’m completely wrong…..but🤷🏼♂️🤣🤔

This was wonderful- a workbench that is sturdy, but portable. Thank you for this!
Masterpiece!!! I love finding people who can truly build a piece that very few can! Wonderful job!!!!!

Lovely bench. No unnecessary stuff that no one actually needs anyhow.
PIĘKNIE zrobiony film - sama przyjemność oglądania - teraz widać jaki to ogrom pracy -gratulacje Łukasz

That 33 mins. went by in no time. Very enjoyable and new tool techniques I hadn't seen. Liked.
This is the first time that I have seen the use of a marking knife. Worth the video!
Spectacular! The nicest Moravian workbench I have seen - so nice I bet you don't want to use it in case it gets damaged ;-)

Lukasz as always: You have stolen my heart with your movies. Great beautiful, rich content, thanks for sharing!! With best wishes and regards.

Beautiful Bench. It is too good to use, it is a piece of furniture fit for a museum
Your craftsmanship and the results speak for themselves. Wow!
I really wanted to say that your music selection is amazing.
Beautiful work! I look forward to seeing more!

It looks like you kept the 15 degrees. I thought that was too much so did mine with 8 degrees. Beautiful Job
Fantastic! Well done. Beautiful and functional, you can't ask for more than that.
Im enjoy watching and i feel background music good. Beautiful workbench
Wow!
This is one of the most beautiful small workbenches I've seen!
Amazing job!!!
So many cool details. The shop made planing stop angled up to meet the piece is just one of many incredible things in this build.

Great stuff. Never seen the peening of end grain before planing it flush - I'll have to try that.
Very attractive work and movies.
